I remember this period. It was 1999! I was still young in primary school and People were so hyper in faith. Many believed that the world was going to end then! Many people sold their property and many engaged in prayers. It happened on the 31st December 1999. Many people were burnt alive while praying…..and the following day, the news spread out and also many were surprised that the world had not ended! Many people lost property and their lives. 🙏

To date theres a guu following it up he has confronted the presidents office for Justice but his version seems more political. The truth is no one knows the real story about kannungu but...why are the murderers not brought to justice!?🤔 Theres alot covered up since kibwetele's now is roaming free in uganda and the land on which the church was built was taken by a soidier. So there are alot of corners to this mystery

I'm from Guyana and I remember when I was young someone decided to make juice and call it Jim Jones and ride through our neighborhood. I asked my father to buy me one and got a smack in return. Not until I grew older did I realize why he refused. This was an interesting story and first time hearing it. Thank you.

Watching from Guyana, i was fourteen yrs old when the Jim Jones massacre happened....never knew such cult was in the country....it was very scary, that actually took place in the jungle, way out of civilization, that is why the nation of Guyana didn't knew what was going on...maybe the soldiers did, however the narrator of this story got my attention, i had to subscribed👍🏿

Am a ugandan and I was around 7 yrs when this happened trust me it was so so sad it was a cross boarder crime with many victims from Rwanda and Congo. Thank you for telling this story to the world. Sadly upto now over 3000 victims have not yet gotten justice.

You choose the word "cult" instead of church, "witches" instead of Reverend Sisters, "cult members" instead of congregation. By trying not to offend someone's religion, you are depriving your followers the necessary lessons to learn from this tragedy. Thank you Daniel for this. I am a Ugandan and I did not know who this lady was. The story I know is that of Kibwetere because as far as I knew, he was the mastermind of the massacre. As I was watching this, I got so intrigued and went on searching more about her. It is so sad that people desperately search for grace and they get in such a situation. Recently, in September, A man who claimed to be Kibwetere's second son was arrested for attempting to bury a 10-year-old girl alive. The girl was sick and her mother entrusted him with the child because he had promised to heal her (called himself a healer). However, he failed to treat the child so, he dug the grave to bury her. Thankfully, the malnourished girl was rescued.
The Kanungu religious Massacre was in Uganda.(my country). Kibwetere told people that Jesus was coming, closed the church doors and burnt them alive. He has never been seen to this date. Your a great story teller
I can hardly believe this story isn't more widely known. How totally evil! Perhaps if these people had studied the Word of God, they would have known that no man (or women) could know when the world would end. This woman may have been the mastermind, but she had plenty of helpers.

Watching from Guyana, i was fourteen yrs old when the Jim Jones massacre happened....never knew such cult was in the country....it was very scary, that actually took place in the jungle, way out of civilization, that is why the nation of Guyana didn't knew what was going on...maybe the soldiers did, however the narrator of this story got my attention, i had to subscribed👍🏿

Am a ugandan and I was around 7 yrs when this happened trust me it was so so sad it was a cross boarder crime with many victims from Rwanda and Congo. Thank you for telling this story to the world. Sadly upto now over 3000 victims have not yet gotten justice.

I'm very close with the stories of the cartels here in Mexico and the kidnappings and murders and going unpunished because of how corrupt the justice system is.
And I am a fellow crime freak also I've heard of everything you could say about America and Mexico but never heard about what you talk about in Nigeria 😵😖 I thought Mexico had a horrible justice system but it doesn't compare to what happens in America,

I imagine she had planned her actions very carefully, with step 1 being to slip into the shadows. After that -- plastic surgery? emigrating to another country? She surely had all the money she needed (scammed from her followers) to do whatever she wanted. The possibilities are endless. Of course, she may simply have died in all the years since the massacre....and that works for me.

Evil people everywhere. You did a very great job presenting the evil woman as someone who had absolutely nothing to do with Christianity and the church. You choose the word "cult" instead of church, "witches" instead of Reverend Sisters, "cult members" instead of congregation. By trying not to offend someone's religion, you are depriving your followers the necessary lessons to learn from this tragedy. Thank you Daniel for this. I am a Ugandan and I did not know who this lady was. The story I know is that of Kibwetere because as far as I knew, he was the mastermind of the massacre. As I was watching this, I got so intrigued and went on searching more about her. It is so sad that people desperately search for grace and they get in such a situation. Recently, in September, A man who claimed to be Kibwetere's second son was arrested for attempting to bury a 10-year-old girl alive. The girl was sick and her mother entrusted him with the child because he had promised to heal her (called himself a healer). However, he failed to treat the child so, he dug the grave to bury her. Thankfully, the malnourished girl was rescued.

The Kanungu religious Massacre was in Uganda.(my country). Kibwetere told people that Jesus was coming, closed the church doors and burnt them alive. He has never been seen to this date. Your a great story teller
