Watching this reminded me of how creepy JD is. Just the way, even when they’re fighting in the boiler room, he feels he can violently grab and kiss Veronica whenever he pleases, the way he uses her hand to light his cigarette. The way he talks to her. He’s so so manipulative and controlling. It bugs me that people say he’s cute and they wish they had a boyfriend like Jason Dean. No you don’t. You really don’t want someone like that.

I don’t know if anyone knows the book ‘After’ but JD reminds me awfully of Harden or Harry, just manipulative and abusive but I don’t understand why the author and many other people feel that that is ‘attractive’ or ‘hot’. Ok yes some people like dominant partners but this is more than just ‘kinky’ dominance etc, it’s literally making someone feel bad about themselves like they’re nothing without the manipulators and talking crap about the other people/society in the victims’ life in order to have the poor victims just for themselves. It’s plain insecurity and in my opinion, all these types of books and movies are doing is romanticising a toxic and abusive relationship for young girls and boys to get the wrong idea out of. It’s sick.
Honestly i feel if JD didn't want to kill so much and wasn't Psychotic than he and Veronica could've had a good relationship and could've been the best 'forever' couple. It was obvious they cared for each other and loved each other but once JDs true self came out and Veronica saw his scares and bad side it just fell apart. :(

Before she could slap me again the police got her on tape and now shes in jail. I have a better girlfriend now. She treats me right and she lets me have friends. She's never laid a violent hand on me. Only a gentle one.
