I had a feeling his brother would have been able to convince Chucho to turn himself in but after killing Butch his borrowed time had come to an end.
The river spirit claimed chuco’s life when he survived the rapids as an infant with his mother. The owl was present then and signifies the claim on his life. Shoutout goes to ms. Depaoli and her spanish class for the proper analysis of this wonderful film
