For those of you who don’t catch it, someone who’s just done hard time has some street cred when they walk down the street especially in their own neighborhood where it’s known publicly they just got out of prison. It’s respect for all the wrong reasons but respect nonetheless.
I love the hospital scene where he slams the doctor against the wall after learning of his womans death during birth 😏its strangely vicouriously cathartic. The passion of it still resonates in my head. Thank god for jimmy smits.

@jozsefkacsa it comes from a place of insincerity, this is a great movie and yeah maybe the cops very a latte much but if he did have gun it would have been the same out come. other then that this moive does relate to alot of Mexican American family's and might have taken as a dis on them but thats on them

@yourdaddy98 its not basedon a true story but the happenings like with the border patrol and how they were treated by the whites (no affense to anyone) that was true its still true its just not as bad as before
