Yeah, I hate those big wrecks. To me, the winner is tainted when several of the best cars have been knocked out of the race due to something beyond their control.
Wow, what a phenomenal race! Both amazed and grateful that I made it two days without having the result spoiled so I could enjoy it here. It really seems like the drivers are learning when they should and shouldn’t block, and it made for some smart pack racing. Would love to see super speedway racing keep going in this direction. And let’s go Chase! Sound that sireen! 🚨
When Chase took that lead the place went crazy just like when Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr took the lead it felt like the old man took the lead and I know he's up in heaven smiling and saying this young man reminds me of myself
Idk what got me thinking about nascar. I don't think I've watched a race in 15 or more years but I just keep watching different races. Modern all tye way back to the 80s. Great stuff. I was under the impression the races were boring these days but Holy bumping and pushing. Makes some intense moments.
It Daytona and now Atlanta are what racing actually is - superdraft combat, unlimited repassing. The Indianapolis 500 and the Modifieds at New Hampshire are also superdraft racing albeit they’re drafting dive bomb passing due to flat corners. Superdraft competition is what all racing needs
I know it's been almost half a year since this race, but I absolutely loved the way this race played out. It was clean for the majority. I thought after Stage 1,that it was going to be a wreckfest with the S1 ending being the 4th Caution. It was crazy as usual, and the Crowd goes wild. I love hearing crowd noises
I wonder if the drivers were holding back ever so slightly given all of the safety talk, in order to avoid the big one. Regarding safety, what we are hearing on the media is limited , but you know there's more talking among the other drivers in the garage.
I watched this live on the #22 Joey Cam. He was in the back all day and not really racing anybody. I'm hoping this TV view is a little more exciting. We'll see. 🤞
Wow! What a nerve wracking race was that. Ryan Blainey must have Nerves of steel with Ross Chastain pushing him for so many rounds. What a pity that Ryan didn't win, he really deserved it. NASCAR and Oval racing is the best! To bad that we don't have this in Europe, F1 is so boring..
I been to talladega fastest motor speed way 5 Times and I been to Michigan motor speed way 6 times and I been to brick yard 4 times and I been watching the race on TV every Sunday and I use to be a bill eilliot fan until chase eilliot came to Nascar now and I root for chase eilliot every Sunday let's go chase eilliot win another championship
Am I the only one tired of the forced narratives pushed by the reporters in the driver interviews? It seems that they have become even more forced on NBC's networks this season. Maybe it's just new reporters learning on the job, but it appears even the drivers are becoming weary of reporters trying to put words in their mouths.
And the habit of making speeches rather than actually asking the question is something Chris Economaki forever tried to teach aspiring racecasters to never do
Maybe they should try some tires that are more narrow which would slow the cars down some (maybe not at dega but everywhere else) and make handling and driver control more important. This might make for better racing, safer for the drivers, and you wouldn't need a maximum HP engine if you can't use the extra HP. Driver safety and on the track action would increase which increases the amount of viewers and fans @ the tracks. However... I fear that ///Nascar wants their cars to be overly impressive on the track with high speeds over the concerns for safety and the limits of the human body to sustain in a crash.
I hate to say it, but nascar and Goodyear need to step up in regards to the driver injuries. Even if it is because the setups are too aggressive, in my opinion, it is the race teams job to go fast, and the governing body's job to keep the races safe. Implement a rule on minimum ride height. I mean this year we've seen more than a few drivers withdraw due to injuries sustained in races. Did we even have one last year. The last one I remember is Ryan Newman's Daytona crash. And that was a racing incident. I'm tired of seeing drivers end up body slamming the wall 2 or 3 times a race because tires are blowing out. 11+ cautions due to incident at Texas and almost all of them were tire failures. In my opinion that is a failure on the part of the governing body and the tire manufacturer in every regard. The last time we were seeing tire failures like this was the Hoosier×Goodyear nascar feud. Nascar did the right thing then and killed the feud to keep people safe. Hoping they'll do the right thing now and put their foot down.
They should have a "Push to Pass" function like Indy Car does to help separation for these types of races.Or get rid of the restrictor plate racing and let "Inovation" break up the pack racing. When they race this close together you are asking for wrecks that makes this more dangerous than higher speeds.
LOL the only races I watch every yr is Daytona Nd dega. Pack racing is the only reason I come too watch. And not because of the wrecks but because of the way drivers work the air. The air coming off these cars at 200 I couldn’t imagine. Drafting is so cool too watch
Hey NASCAR, why is it that we don't see the "front & rear bumper" cut away explanation at the beginning of the race or any of them for that matter? We here it, but it seems like on all these replay videos we never see the "cut away explanations". What's up with that? Why are you jipping us here on YouLieTube?
How is this a race? This is boring. No, not because of lack of wrecks. That's good to see especially considering the stiffness of this car. But this race is boring because there is no actual racing / passing.
That crowd going crazy when Chase got the lead sounded like good times when Dale Sr and Jr took the lead
Incredible race. Don't need wrecks for a memorable race.
Yeah, I hate those big wrecks. To me, the winner is tainted when several of the best cars have been knocked out of the race due to something beyond their control.
When the drivers actually hold their lines better you don’t have the wrecks.
Saves cars and finances. Would had been great without last caution.
@@MRosati5000 I didn't understand why the need for that last caution. A bit aggravating.
@@AceGoodheart Safety above all.
That stage 1 finish was beautiful to the tee. Blaney's execution of going high seeing the momentum coming from the top lane was top notch.
Blaney has had a knack for almost sneaking up on everyone in the draft then striking

I can say this Texan finally got to see a live Talladega race. Enjoyed my time in Talladega.
Rebank Texas motor speedway higher like Atlanta did
Best part of this is the commercial breaks. They don't cut away and you can enjoy the racing and the sounds without some nimrod constantly talking.
Best Race Ive Seen All Year ... Love Talladega !
The two Daytona races, the two Atlanta races, and the Geico 500 were also really good
When Chase took that lead the place went crazy just like when Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr took the lead it felt like the old man took the lead and I know he's up in heaven smiling and saying this young man reminds me of myself
