    Love these videos… but I’m a little surprised that the gap wasn’t checked on the spark plug before installation!

      These plugs are pre-gapped and do not need to be adjusted. Thanks for your feedback!

    I promise....not a comment of criticism or critique....just a suggestion for us old guys who's eyesight isn't what it once was. If possible, if you could set up your camera a little closer so we can see in better detail...would be awesome. I've learned sooooo much from your channel....MANY thanks!!!!!

    I know this is late. Do you remember the condition of the plug? 12,000 seems like a short time. As an aside, my 1996 K1100 LT spark plugs change was mandated at 25,000 by BMW. Thanks.
    BTW, what are you riding now?

      Only once have I seen plugs that looked like they needed changing. It was a bike bought used and the previous owner claimed a 12k service had been performed. My hunch is that it was 24k since the last replacement. Regardless, BMW recommends replacement every 12k miles.

    Hey Kurt, could you please elaborate in the location of the second plug - you mention that there are "two for each cycle set" but I'm not sure what that means. Is the second plug on the other cylinder head? I'm about to do my first plug replacement and gathering info...

      Ray, it’s a very easy project. One spark plug on each side. Make sure you have a coil puller before you begin. Have fun!

    Nice video again, thanks for the info. I bought a 2016 r1200rt this March of 22. Wondering if there is a way to manually scroll through the radio stations, such as going from 93.5 to 93.7 to 93.9. The search feature does not pick up my local stations. All the presets are set for an area 350 miles away from me. Thanks

      That’s a good question, I looked in the manual and there does not appear to be a way to manually select the frequency. However, I have an idea - ride closer to where the signal may be stronger and then save it there. Thanks for the feedback.

    Your videos are very clear and exhaustive, congratulations! I have the same bike as you and I'm excited about it .. I wanted to ask you for brand and model of your seat and your torque wrench.. thank you in advance

      Alberto, the seat is a Russell Day Long custom seat. I highly recommend the seat! Their web site is: day-long.com/. The torque wrench is a Craftsmen digital torque wrench. Mine goes down to something like 8 Nm. Check out our tours, rentals and parts at pacmototours.com. Cheers!

    Special tool for pulling the coil? Or could I just carefully use some needle nose pliers?

      There should be a plastic tool to remove the coil under your seat. I’ve also heard people us a RAM Mount extension that will grip onto the indentation in the coil. I hope that helps. Thanks for the comment.

      needle nose plyers will work, whatever you use just be slow and very careful. The proper tool is way cheaper than a new stick coil

    Whats the torque in lbs per inches??

      Multiply Newton-meters by 8.851 to get inch-pounds.

      Can you be more specific? There is one spark plug for each cycle set for a total of 2 for the boxer engine.

      The second spark plug is underneath the cylinder. 2 spark plugs for each side

      @@rollysvw Trying to find this out myself (I have a 2018 RT) but it looks like the new liquid-cooled "wethead" models are back to one coil per cylinder. I might be wrong, but it appears to be the case.
