- STATUS QUO LIVE IN CONCERT
On August 30th 1992 in Sutton Park, near Birmingham, the band and the station came together again in front of 125,000 of it's listeners, on a very wet and windy afternoon, for a unique celebration of 25 years of Radio 1 FM, The Party In The Park.
If you were not able to be there, here the radio broadcast, or see the subsequent celebratory TV programme then here is your chance to rock 'til you drop to the music of one of Britain's best, and most fun loving, rock & roll bands, Status Quo.
This concert is very special because Status Quo have been making music even longer than I have been producing Radio 1 programmes. One of the proudest moments in Radio 1's history was providing the world's broadcasters with the sound for Live Aid in 1985 and it was not surprising that Status Quo were chosen to kick off the momentous occasion.

Is it really true you was there?!! Wow, making part of 125,000 people who are realizing, it's a matter of sheer luck to see, hear and look to the Mighty Quo.
From the very, very lot of recorded Quo live gigs, this one belongs maybe to one of the best. In case it isn't so, than this live gig is and will be forever THE most greatest recorded performance of The Quo.
To me the entire full length version of 'Roadblues Medley' and 'Caroline' are highlights.
Together with all those people, you kept this fantantic memory at August??. I thought September 30th (funny, my birthday) 1992 in your mind.
You are for real a hell on earth great and lucky fan. Anytime during the rest of your life, you can let it happen again as much as you like, simply by using your mind, memory and imagination.
No one ever will succeed in taking away this memories from you.
Hope you will have much more great moments, enjoying Status Quo. You deserve it !!

Hi Richard... yes it’s true I was about 16 and it was in my home town of Birmingham Uk.. There seemed to be one every year somewhere growing up either from radio 1 or a local radio station did them but this one was far the biggest as it was 25th anniversary of radio 1... it was an epic sight to be seen with all those people listening to the best music of the times all on one stage... thank you again for bringing back memories of that day with these video clips...👍

You're absolutely right. I ever saw on tv an interview with Jeff Rich. I remember how Jeff answered the questions. He didn't say Yes, No, Maybe and so on. He explained also Why and How. Jeff Rich quote: Status Quo is a real live power band. So it's not an option to give 90% or 95% of your energy. You must put the full 100% when you're on stage. The lucky fans who bought a ticket mostly a year before the date of the concert. They have to wait all that time. You can't disappoint all those fans. George Kooymans, guitar player and former in 1961, of the Dutch rock band Golden Earring, did ever said a quote like that: 'Every time you playing live on stage, you have to play like it's your very, very first time. If you don't do that, you're screwed'. That's the right spirit. Thank you, Runcorn Urban Carper, for your statement. It's the truth! richard.

But I gotta say I started playing music as I was a kid with 'em. I gotta realize that I'm italian, and hearing & playin HR/HM ands R'nR in my country it's impossible to understand for the...other people! Anyway I hate italian music and always be playin' "MY" music amd I'm still proud about it. I'm 54 y.o. and never changed my "musical" point of view! Status Qua gonna have always a special and reserved place in my mind, in my heart...in my world. So 6thanx for your words but as you know...we "rockers" are belonging to a brotherhood that other people cannot undestand. You did it! R'n'R will never die as long as bumping in your heart. Ich hab Sie öfter gesehen. Die waren immer großartig und Freude, Action pur. Aber dieses Konzert war z.b., wie ich meine , der Beste Auftritt einer Rock and Roll Band für immer. 👍 generell blieben Die auch unverwechselbar und relativ unbeeinflußt vom Mainstream ihrem Sound treu . Wie einige Andere Bands aber auch . Danke für's Runterladen👍

I am 60 and I started to listen to the Status Quo when I was 15 years old. Roughly about the same time. And I still love 'm today.
