People holding up their cigarette lighters instead of phones. Brings back memories of the concerts I used to go to during the 70s. I saw Quo heaps of times and they were so good.
Thanks so much for the effort and the upload....been listening to this album for over 40 years never thought i'd get to see footage. Well done Sir...... Long live the Mighty Quo.
You prolly dont give a shit but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
the harmonica brings the rhythmic of the musical ensemble, and the guitar resonates poetically and purrs acoustically, the performer's voice echoes that of the audience, to the delight of the amateurs that we are,
Its impossible to sit still and listen to this, you just wanna jump about and pretend you were a kid again!!! Quo were like gods to me when i was young. A superb and under rated band, thanks for sharing, Paul
Grerat stuff. I listened to this album dozens of times with my friend Ian in 1979/80. He sadly passed away in 1999, the biggest Status Quo fan I ever met. We saw Quo at their "Farewell" concert at the Glasgow Apollo in June 1983. Amazing how you put this together. Fanstastic work and much appreciated. RIP Ian Kidd (1963-1999).
So sorry to here about your friend real curiouse did your friend come from Dundee when he was younger he worked at a printers might be the same person came from Fintry.
My auld fella saw them at the Milton Keynes Bowl, the final concert, with Nazareth, Marillion, Gary Glitter (better than he expected) and Jason and the Scorchers. Some day that was, apparently.
Einfach himmlisch.
I am lucky enough to be on that musical bum.... was 14 when I went to the Glasgow Apollo gig.... my 2nd home was the Apollo. Thank you so much for your hard work
Very well done for putting this together.. I have all their albums including Glasgow Apollo... A fantastic example of the true potential and the depths of music talent Quo are capable of consistently.. Bob Young on harmonica I believe.. f, awesome..
First heard the Quo at the Red Lion, Leytonstone around 1970. Saw them again in '72 at Barbarella's, Birmingham where they played Roadhouse Blues (and was also my introduction to the Doors.) Bought their LP 'Dog of Two Head' in Paris in '72 where I was on a training course. What a great live band! Loved them ever since.
I was very lucky to see them when they recorded the live album at the Glasgow Apollo in 76, the very best concert I have ever been to, the place was bouncing and that includes the balcony, unbelievable noise and atmosphere, fantastic live band have seen them 9 times and never disappointed.
Steven I was there with my brothers. Remember the balcony as well, it was really, really bouncing. Met Rick and Francis a few years later. Rick said they could see everyone looking up as they were and it was scary, but he told me a story of another gig. Think it was Cardiff, but not sure. He said they were on stage and got word from the side that there had been a bomb alert. They carried on playing while the staff went around the seats with flashlights checking under the seats. Health & Safety, none in those days!!
i remember this night i will never forget it i class it as the best concert anyone could be at i still have the ticket stub i am 61 now still watch this
billy g / this period was definitely the best of this group. Growing up with LIVE77! The second record i buy, the first was LOU REED live 73. Good music never get old or boring!
Best Album ever . I used to play this in the dark & pretend i was there. Summer of 1977. The inside sleeves has picture of each one of them. Which i got autographed by each one of the the Frantic Four. Amazing times still get goose bumps now.
Me too. I make it a point to listen to it at least 6 to 100 times a day an once more when I go to bed at night and picture my self back behind my drumset playing my heart out, and, "never missing a lick. And as everyone that knows me, I don't! I LOVE IT!!❤✌
Before #punk #postpunk there was Status Quo a part of a 13 year old german Teenie in West Germany. A milestone. Bluejeans, longhair before metal bangers reached town. The cover version of Roadhouse Blues combines boogie wise playing with the ongoing rhythm. This sound makes me move after 40 years. Ohohoho!!
we think we are watching a performance given by high school kids, they are having so much fun playing their instruments, the drummer is the cannoneer of the group, the harmonica is the conductor, the guitarists are the troubadours, the singer is the minnesinger ............
i remember these nights at the apollo so well - 3500 glaswegian quo fans - like an old firm game but everyone supporting the one team - great great atmosphere
One of the greatest live albums of the period when the Glasgow. Apollo was a favourite venue for many.... Quo live, AC DC live, Roxy Music. Up there with UFO Chicago, Scorpions Tokyo, Bowie Philladelphia and the list goes on... we were blessed!
When the Circle was rockin at a Quo gig it must have moved at least a foot. Given delapidated state of the Apollo should have carried a Health & Safety warning. Loved it!!!
Rock on Alan ! My fave quo vocalist .First heard this song by the Quo and saw them live at the Glasgow Apollo before discovering the Doors. This song inspired their career after they saw the doors live ! 'Lets see that balcony moving.' Where the quo chant and Angus (AC DC) chant were born. This version not only with the jig but a nod to Shakin all over. Clips with low stage not the Apollo which was dangerously high - more like playing to the balcony!
For a 8 year period they were simply the best rock band in the world, all the heads down legs apart that every rock band since have been doing is down to the Quo , they were secretly admired by all the major bands at the time. Jimmy Page was right in saying you wouldnt want to follow Quo on, Zeppelin found it hard to follow Lynard Skynard on as Page has admitted.

Unique great performance, Alan great work, Francis & Rick awesome job with the guitars 🎸 John drum boy. Awesome frantic 4 plus harmonica
People holding up their cigarette lighters instead of phones. Brings back memories of the concerts I used to go to during the 70s. I saw Quo heaps of times and they were so good.
Saw them do this at free trade hall manchester 1972. O.M.G. 50 years ago. Brilliant band in the 70s. I had hair then.
I had hair too !!!
RIP ALAN LANCASTER.
Another legend to leave us, but will always live on in our music
Excelente grupo.excelente arreglo y maravillosa rola

Thanks so much for the effort and the upload....been listening to this album for over 40 years never thought i'd get to see footage. Well done Sir...... Long live the Mighty Quo.
One of the best songs of the best live album ever recorded!
So nice to finally see it :)
You prolly dont give a shit but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Alexis Ernesto instablaster :)
27-09-2021 R.I.P Alan Lancaster. thank you for all you gave us. Keep on rocking!
Yes when he went they went down hill
the harmonica brings the rhythmic of the musical ensemble, and the guitar resonates poetically
and purrs acoustically, the performer's voice echoes that of the audience, to the delight of the amateurs that we are,
Its impossible to sit still and listen to this, you just wanna jump about and pretend you were a kid again!!!
Quo were like gods to me when i was young. A superb and under rated band, thanks for sharing, Paul
masonknives so true but you don’t need to be a kid to jump around to Quo!!! 😃
I'm 71 years and I have and will always be mesmerized by this bad ass song Jasper Sanchez
Love to see another rocker who appreciates good music :) sorry to hear about your friend.
End of the Road Tour was June 84 saw them at Newcastle City Hall, the day before I sat my history A' Level.
@@ShortyHeartsYou1989 No, he was from Glasgow
Einfach himmlisch.
Some good bits?! All just brilliant stuff. One of the best live bands I ever saw.
I am lucky enough to be on that musical bum.... was 14 when I went to the Glasgow Apollo gig.... my 2nd home was the Apollo. Thank you so much for your hard work
Lucky you,to see them live
Truly appreciated their hArd work not only stay alive but keep us feel alive
I don't know how you did this, but it's brilliant! Great track from probably the best live album of all time ever by The Magnificent Status Quo!
Fabuleux Magnifique Inoubliable. Une musique qui vous prend aux tripes. Ma drogue indispensable. Quel Bonheur
Very well done for putting this together.. I have all their albums including Glasgow Apollo... A fantastic example of the true potential and the depths of music talent Quo are capable of consistently.. Bob Young on harmonica I believe.. f, awesome..
exelente version x Dios Viva Peron Carajo. solo Rock n Roll
That was my first cassette tape my parents ever bought me. 1978. Still have it
Me too, saludos
Pure magic, I've listened to this live album for 40 years and never tire of it. Thank you to who ever loaded this footage.
Same here I was at this concert in Glasgow excellent night
First time i really heard of them was at the Knebworth concert in 1990. Man they kick butt. Fantastic cover of a classic. Jim Morrison would be proud.
i remember this night i will never forget it i class it as the best concert anyone could be at i still have the ticket stub i am 61 now still watch this
billy g
/ this period was definitely the best of this group.
Me too. I make it a point to listen to it at
least 6 to 100 times a
day an once more when I go to bed at night and picture my
self back behind my drumset playing my
heart out, and, "never
missing a lick. And
as everyone that knows me, I don't! I
LOVE IT!!❤✌
Before #punk #postpunk there was Status Quo a part of a 13 year old german Teenie in West Germany.
Love the scene at 3.30 when 3 band members rock back and forward in sync - Very cool
classic from status quo...look up the piledriver Lp cover.
my headbanger started with these guys. I was about 10 years old.

i remember these nights at the apollo so well - 3500 glaswegian quo fans - like an old firm game but everyone supporting the one team - great great atmosphere
the instruments radiate emotion and sensory vibrations, hearts beating in unison, thoughts in tune in a moment,
One of the greatest live albums of the period when the Glasgow. Apollo was a favourite venue for many.... Quo live, AC DC live, Roxy Music. Up there with UFO Chicago, Scorpions Tokyo, Bowie Philladelphia and the list goes on... we were blessed!
Wow you have great taste in music my man my top 3 favourite bands are QUO#1
ACDC#2
UFO#3 🎸
When the Circle was rockin at a Quo gig it must have moved at least a foot. Given delapidated state of the Apollo should have carried a Health & Safety warning. Loved it!!!
Alan Lancaster is amazing singing this well the whole gang are just fecking brill!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravo
God save the Queen!!!
SHITE! This is so FUCKING AWESOME ...THE QUO CHANT!
I was there on the final night (of three). Brilliant concert.
