- Status Quo es una banda británica de hard rock y Adult oriented rock formada en el año 1962. Está formada por Francis Rossi (guitarra, vocalista), Alan Lancaster (bajo), Rick Parfitt (guitarra, vocalista) y John Coghlan (batería).

Rolling down the motorway with my dad in his lorry this blasting away what a tune. Quo opened the door to many rock tunes for me.

I have loved this version of Quo's Roadhouse Blues for over 40 years. And still enjoy it to this day. Quo live album is one of my favourite vinyl albums along with Deep Purple Made in Japan.
both of those albums are in my top five live album list.
The best of the best.

I have had the privilege to watch this great band live twice, in 1974 and in 2006. After 32 years they were still as good as they were when I first saw them.

Probably one of the best covers of this great song, Status Quo is and was a truly great and underrated band, the Piledriver album should make a believer out of anyone into this music.❤🎉

I know It's a Doors song but Quo made this their own. One of their best live tunes and I have still to hear anyone else do it better.
I grew up watching this concert on the C5 videos! I wanted to be in a band because of Quo and I got there in the end!

Kevin Turner I always thought Alan was the best in the quo line up!! great bluesy voice! Some of his tracks on the QUO album are quite magnificent! rip Rick!!
+Eileen Hughes right, Lancaster had a pretty great voice, it could be really deep, and very powerful.. one of the best (unfortunatly quite unknown) rock singer

After he left the Quo, Alan start a new group in Australia : the Lancaster Bombers. He was the singer in his group.
Agree with you Kev , but in my opinion , once John Coghlan left , he could only see them going downhill ,he could see them never being the same again , the originals were going , and the subs were never as good as the originals

The Quo have been in my life for 40 years..seen them a number of times.Denim,headbanging,air guitars..Glasgow Appolo in the 70s..what a gig that was!Really sorry to hear of Rick's passing..I know he hadn't been well for a while..RIP
Hey man. I was at the Apollo gigs. What row were you in.😂 Seen them when they came back for their Rockin all over the World Tour. Looked a different band. Went downhill after that writing commercial rubbish for the pop charts. But ruled the World for a few years.

The original 70's Quo line up is reforming and playing gigs March 2013. Thats the great thing about following Quo. There has been over 50 years of them whereas other bands don't last the distance and fans have nothing to follow . Take the tip follow the best band in the first place and have a life time of good times.
