Superb live band. We,ve lost Rick, gained Richie but we can never forget what a truly great guitarist that Francis is.. Right up there with the best...
None of them really got the recognition they so deserve(d), great playing by them all... Saw them in Manchester on this tour .... grown men with tears in their eyes as they never expected to see the line up again...

He was absolutely fantastic. The drummer of most groups, never seem to get recognition. TBH drumming is the most physically demanding instrument. He did himself proud.
When the album came out they toured the states and came to Detroit. Four guys dressed like blue collar guys, no flash just loud 4/4 timed barre chord rock. I was completely hooked. RIP Rick.
The kids aren’t in the room MrMotor, they checked out in the mid-80s, they know how it’s done, and it doesn’t need a guitar but an E pill, a sequencer or later a computer and someone who knows how to make beautiful tones and wicked beats that are played in loops…done. No guitar heroes needed.

1977 in National Stadium Dublin , best gig I was at for enjoyment. Rocking all over the World was huge at the time, they came on stage and just launched into it , place went bonkers.
Stunning live version of a classic QUO song. By far the best ever UK rock band. The Frantic Four. The one and only true QUO line up. Period. The magic they produce(d) on stage. Nothing comes even close.
Go to a Quo gig even today and the front row is like a school outing. Theres loads of kids... The band have no issues litting the little ones can sit the stage side of the barriers as long as they behave.
I was lucky enough to see three of the best live bands Slade,Queen ,and of course Status Quo just so glad I grew up in the Era's for music the 60s and 70s and this band was one of the best parts of that.
Down down, prices are down at Coles Supermarkets. The original and best line up of the band - the frantic four when they reunited. They could still perform as good as they ever did. It will never happen again now that Rick and Alan have passed away.
Magnifique !!! Comment se lasser de ces morceaux inoubliables ? Toute ma jeunesse !!!! Rien a voir avec ces petits groupes qui se prennent pour des stars.
Listen to how good the sound on this video is. You can’t get any better than the original lineup of the band. It will never happen again now that two of those band members have passed away!
Saw them on their 1st trip to Australia, 1973. Amazing gig, played a mini festival with Slade (headlining) Caravan, Lindisfarne and a brilliant Aussie blues band, ,Blackfeather. Weirdest line up, but I remember an amazing day. Don Powell on drums for Slade knocked off a bottle of scotch during their 1 hour on stage, blew me away. Great days!
.Quo,s timing and ability to play off each other is awesome, not to mention the fast tempo of the song, as a musician I know it's very rare to have this kind of synchronicity between 4 musicians. That's why they have lasted so long. The bass and drums' fills and sync is incredible.. This is real rock n roll ..no gimmicks or tricks
Understand what you’re saying Sean. They were belittled by so called “proper “ musicians who have no idea how to appreciate the intricacies you so eloquently pointed out. Plus these people haven’t a clue how to fucking Rock ‘n’ roll!!!!
