Moral of the story: Humans are the real monsters (especially the male ones).
I could feel that woman's fear...being in such a vulnerable position is truly terrifying. I'm glad that, for once, the usual monsters met a stronger monster.

There is a meaning to this. When guys get drunk and overly complacent about themselves, there may come consequences they do not expect.
There will be monsters - but just sometimes there will be even bigger monsters.
no there wont be bigger monsters. reality is girls will always be weaker not growing into some fantasy monster
And when girls get drunk they will become overall innocent victims, in turn.
I think the “author” is Laura Galán (from “Piggy”), great to see her again!
I've seen aliens. I've seen Bigfoot. I've even fed a few fish to the Lochness Monster.
But I still have never seen a BMW driver use his turn signals.
I wasn't expecting to see the monsters get killed, good for her.

I once had to stop and save a woman from this muscular man who had her purse because EVERYONE else is walking by and avoiding the very loud situation. Took a while but after he returned her purse we went for a drink.

I felt for that women, and for her loved ones too, not being there to help her. What a nightmare. Stay safe out there, don't drink too much and don't leave your drink with your eyes. So much can go wrong.

Hello everybody. This is Carlota Pereda, writer director of "There will be monsters". This short film is a result of the invitation of the French Academy to do a piece about "The Night". I gathered some of my best friends and the actors I was closest to, to work together on the theme.
This is what the night has meant for me in different moments of my life, about cathartic fiction, monsters and the stories we tell each other about them and how to destroy their power. Thank you for watching.

It's obvious who the monsters are here and no one wanted to imagine what could have happened after the lights turned off. But it is reality and it happens worldwide. This movie shows how efd up it is and it's totally understandable if for example a woman doesn't like to go home alone at night. The twist at the end felt like "justice" and had kind of a "revenge" flavor, I liked that 👍🏻

What if the woman writing the story was actually the girl it happened to, and she wrote a different ending to her tragic experience to recover from it.
Or what if she falsely accused some innocent man of raping her because she wasn't woman enough to admit that she got drunk and had sex with him? Happens all the time, but do you ever see films about it?
