Theoretically, the idea of Shaggy being a gym teacher could work considering it’s been stated that he’s a gymnast in episode one of Scooby-Doo history (which is thrown away afterwards, but still).
My thoughts exactly, not to mention that he's also quite a fast runner as well, lol. It's also a shame that certain character traits of Shaggy got thrown away as soon as they introduced within the franchise, such as him being a vegetarian, as though to keep him as the marketable one-dimensional "cowardly" food loving goofball. While the film Scoob was bad, at least it featured Shaggy being a superhero fan of Blue Falcon, other than just him being only interested in food.
This and Gravesdale High with Rick Moranis were basically obviously Monster High/Ever After High before both of those two were a thing, maybe Revolta is a former chef who worked at the school, or she's an old monster movie star and also we do see other monster kids at the end, including one who is the daughter of a kaiju.
The concept seems sound. If the father's wills are too strong for the base hypnosis then she could capture the girls and use them as bait to lure in the father's.
i think that the monster dads could have heard about shaggy scoby and scrappy being detectives who unmasked human criminals posing as monsters and appreciated them clearing their good names of those petty crimes
Despite the flaws of this film, we can at least probably agree that it's better than all four Hotel Transylvania films combined, lol. It seems as though the Grimwood girls are the Scooby Doo equivalent of the Monstars from Space Jam as much like with the Grimwood girls, the Monstars are also fan favorite characters within the fandom of their respective franchise, in this case the Looney Tunes franchise, whose major appearances are relegated to the initial project they originated from. Aside from making one or two cameos in other projects as the Monstars cameoed in an episode of Animaniacs as well as in Space Jam 2 as the Nerdlucks while the Grimwood girls cameoed in an episode of OK K.O. as you mentioned here. Honestly, it would be great if the Grimwood girls could make an official comeback in some way or form as I could definitely see them meeting the Hex Girls in which they put on an epic monster theme rock performance. Unfortunately, that would be giving Warner Bros too much credit as they don't have brains when it comes to creative thinking with their IPs, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if there have been fans that have made ultra instinct Shaggy jokes in regards to this film, such as that even though he's supposed to be a gym teacher, Shaggy has actually been training the girls on unlocking their ultra instinct potential, lol. Also, despite her cute and adorable demeanor, isn't it kinda disturbing how as a mummy, Tanis is actually a rotting corpse underneath her bandages, lol?
Better I don't agree with. Not that one his superior both I've found enjoyable to some capacity. As for the aliens from space jam I didn't find them remotely funny and they seemed pointless when we have alien looney tunes who could've filled the role of villain in that film.
@@ToonGrin Yeah, that's why I said 'probably agree' as from my experience, I've always found the Hotel Transylvania films to be rather dumb and mediocre. True, while I'm not a fan of the Monstars as well, since I always thought that they looked like a knockoff version of the Ginyu Force from Dragon Ball Z, I was just speaking on behalf of the Looney Tunes fandom as I've read a few comments from fans expressing their disappointment that the Monstars didn't appear in Space Jam 2, at least not how they expected them to.
@@johnnyd3158 the Hotel Transylvania movies are better than they likely would be under other talent. I think that's Genndey's doing. But they are unfortunate to be Sony films so mediocrity is there home. More or less.
@@ToonGrin Yeah, I'd imagine that the films would have been much better had Genndy Tartakovsky not been creatively restricted under Sony and Happy Madison productions. @@ToonGrin true also i do love Ghoul School it is my favorite of this trilogy even though Reluctant Werewolf was the one i watched so much of as a kid i'd watch that one like 6 times a week
I liked this movie, I gave it a rewatch not too long ago because I wanted to see if my memory was enhancing it from when I watched it as a kid. Ghoul School is definitely a fun movie with all the first half antics with the girls, I thought the first half and second half were connected well even though the tone was very much different. They established the Calloway kids as rivals in the first half who went on to become friends with the monster girls, and that came full circle in the 2nd half when the Calloway boys helped rescue the girls. I thought the movie was fun for it's time and if you're the type of person who can enjoy older childrens cartoons, I would say this in a classic for Scooby Doo fans. I certainly enjoyed my rewatch of it and thought it was a fun movie. I thought the Revolta part was fine, it gave the plot a real threat that needed to be averted whereas the Calloway Cadets were more of a fun obstacle.
Whenever i did watch Ghoul school i would only watch up to the party after the Volleyball game and stop it there, even as a kid i never liked the revolta part, also now watching this doesnt one of the kids look like flim flam form 13 ghost. Also Quick question, Rank the Ghoul girls on just your opinon of them, fav to least
Pretty sure one of the kids might be a reuses model. As for best to worse it's not really a competition. The girls are just a bit to samey. They might all sound different but persona wise they aren't all that much different from one another.
Sadly our channel (at the time of this posting) is not all that big. We are pretty irrelevant in the RUclips sphere. Though I like to think we produce quality content all the same :)
@@ToonGrin I hated Ghoul School when I was younger because it had real monsters, but it grew on me as I got older and rewatched it, still think it's just kinda meh tho lol
@@templar2040 well you do know that the original Scooby-Doo and the '60s also had a real monster right? Charlie the funland robot is a robot it's a robot run amok. That makes him the first official monster in the Canon. Even predating this movie you had the Boo Brothers which had a bunch of ghosts. I like the element of real monsters and Scooby-Doo but I feel like it needs to be more of a special occasion situation.

I agree regarding that Revolta subplot where she should've control the girls, the fathers, and (possibly other monsters) to rule over humans.
The concept seems sound. If the father's wills are too strong for the base hypnosis then she could capture the girls and use them as bait to lure in the father's.
