Shout out to the kids that got to know the franchise through out DVDs
They should've had a reunion with the Ghoul School...
The closest where we’re going to get that out what is that OK KO episode
Agreed but consider leadership hates the implication of real monster best we can do its a human version of the girls
They need to save something for the 100 year anniversary
Ghoul School being on blu-ray has put a big dumb smile on my face and has made my day
I have 3 of these but not on Blu-ray.
I got a packet with these movies;
• Lochness Monster
• Boo Brothers
• Zombie Island
• Legend of the Vampire
• Ghoul School
• Goblin King
• Alien Invaders
• Reluctant Werewolf
• Witch’s Ghost
• Camp Scare
Here’s hoping Zombie Island gets a blu ray soon. Can’t wait to order these soon, I had no idea about these releases
It just got one revealed by Warner Archive!
@@DirgeHole-2866 WAIT WHAT??
Edit: Can’t wait for it but why’d they have to put the dumb sequel with it??
@@creepersteal497 I don't know but you can just ignore the sequel & just have the actual movie that we all want.
@@DirgeHole-2866 True, but it is odd though that they put those together but not the other 3 (4) in this video
Honestly I wish shout factory has the rights to release the Scooby Doo movies and shows shouts does a amazing with the shows they have on DVD
I had Boo brothers on VHS, good times!
Just hearing snippets of the boo brothers audio sent me back in time man, damn
0:23, Its groovy you got the Blu-Ray versions of those Films right now
I love it when you deep dive on scooby doo physical media!
Good Scooby-Doo movies and Reluctant Werewolf is my favorite from these four
Boo Brothers and Ghoul School are very good.
Goes Hollywood is okay well, it's the first official movie and it has its pros and cons, but overall, even though it's not my favorite Scooby-Doo movie, I have nice memories of it, and the scene with the album is still one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.
And my ranking is:
Reluctant Werewolf 9/10
Ghoul School 8/10
Boo Brothers 8/10
Goes Hollywood 7/10
I'm glad they're keeping the classics relevant with the new Blu-rays, the vibrancy of the painted colours adds so much to the classic HB style.
I have that blanket!!! Also got a Scooby-Doo plush/ pillow thing that came with it.
Boo Brothers is so underrated, and it pains me to hear most people don’t like it
i've been making sure my niece gets a healthy dose of OG scooby doo and so these restoration DVDs are super exciting
She must've felt happy
I might get them on Blu ray is well because I’m one those scooby doo fans that actually really likes scrappy doo and I honestly wish he would return
Oh!! This is a fun change, excited to watch!
The remaster of "Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf" looks pretty good; in addition to the upscale of the 480p video footage, they did some color-correction and noise-reduction, so it looks considerably better than the DVD and Boomerang prints. They did a similar remaster with the first season of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" on Tubi.
The upscale remaster of A Pup's videotape season and Arabian Nights could use some work I think, AN in particular has some serious interlacing issues that can cause motion sickness during any heavy action, I kind of wish the Archive team had been able to do those instead of Warner's team.
@@Scoobytopia, well, it didn't help that "Arabian Nights" already had some really bad-looking pan and zoom effects when it was animated back in 1994. Funny enough, in my (ex-)YTP of the movie I did a joke about them causing motion sickness.
Both of the movies "...On Zombie Island" are being released together on bluray in May from the same company!
Announced this on my community page and pre-ordered as soon as it was available! Archive suggested more top requested Scooby movies are coming which suggests Witch's Ghost and Alien Invaders as well! And if they sell well, like the HB Superstars 10 set, hopefully even more!!
As someone who recently got a dvd/Blu-ray player, I appreciate this video and I’m on the hunt for these specific movies
Reluctant werewolf may look bad, but it is my personal second favorite because i when i was little, i watched it on vhs with my dad
I love Scooby I even got a mystery machine
I ordered the 10 film colloction, I'll be doing like I did with cats dont dance, abd show a compassion via my phone camera, cause I don't have what's needed to do a full file from disc comparisons of them
I'm really excited about Boo Brothers
Honestly I like that they updated it but I wish they went with the dark theme instead of everything being so bright
Nice unboxing! I wasnt planning on getting these as i have the dvds but I may get Reluctant Werewolf so I have Scooby Doo Goes To Hollywood
Maybe it's just my bad eyes but Reluctant Werewolf looks fine to me.
It's fine and watchable, especially because it's never looked better, it's just a stark contrast to the other four to the point of being shocking going from those to that as the final one. If they didn't have all the disclaimers, it's startling enough to wonder if something is wrong when it's so different.
Regardless of how _Reluctant Werewolf_ looks on Blu-ray, I'd still get it as it was a favorite of mine when I first saw it in 2010.
And I see from pausing at the 4:37 and 6:41 marks, you have the same Blu-ray player as me.
Honestly, ever since return to zombie island and curse of 13 ghosts I’m kinda hesitant on modern day adaptations. But I would like to see a return to ghoul school, maybe with the girls as full grown monsters. Lmk what you think. Also I love your vids😊😊
Definitely gonna pick these up.
I had no idea these were out. Never been a big fan of these movies, but with Zombie Island finally getting a Blu-ray, hopefully this opens the door for The Witch's Ghost and Alien Invaders getting the same upgrade soon
Archive suggested that these sold well enough that more of the most requested films will be following Zombie Island, so I would assume those are probably exactly what they meant if not at least some of them!
Great review! Look's like I'll be picking these up.
Great video! I'm definitely going to get these! I was starting to think they'd never do something like this!
Fir those that may be interested I've just uploaded Scooby-Doo meets Boo brothers, ghoul school, gies Hollywood, and reluctant werewolf blu ray vs dvd comparison videos😊
Those three Scooby-Doo movies from the Hannah Barbara superstars 10 series time period in Blu Ray Quality is amazing. The best that they had ever looked aside from the warning of the reluctant werewolf, maybe someday I would like to get the entire superstars 10 pack on Blu-ray and for good reason too I have seen 9 movies and I yet to see the invasion of the space bears from Yogi.
No offense, but there isn't an extra "H" in "Hanna"
I hope Zombie Island is next for Blu-ray
Need it, Witch's Ghost and Alien Invaders bad! All 3 have already been restored from their original film elements and have HD masters ready to go, so it's just a matter of them wanting to put them out.
DVD and VHS Collection Time
It's become a running joke in my house that any commentator is doing a bad job if they don't ever say "There's some green"
I guess this is the only thing close were getting to a history of scooby doo homerelease
I feel like trying to tackle that might end up with a lot of missing something with just how many there are, WAY alone has so many releases between compilation sets, volume releases, inclusions with movies, season sets, multiple variations of complete sets, trying to be definitive might take longer than any other potential video 🙀
@@Scoobytopia well you can do it individual show and special/ specials. It will kinda make it easy sense all like what how many scooby do where are you home release. Are out there
i feel like with the tape masters of the original episodes and hd film transfers they have, they have a great amount of data to train an ai model that enhances the quality of that and other films that only exist on tape
Discotek has been doing some great work with their AI upscaling program for blu-rays of similar titles that I think could have done wonders if Archive had access to it. So that already pretty much exists and is really genuinely impressive. Warner just doesn't have it.
Unboxing Content? Love it already
Probably won't be more of it unless we get the three Zombie Island era films on Blu-ray as well or something like that lol. (Alien Invaders recently got a new HD restoration like the other two, so hey, it's possible!)
@@Scoobytopia PHYSICAL MEDIA OP
I wouldn't mind these types of vids once in awhile
I still have the vhs tape for ghoul school and reluctant werewolf and boo brothers
Ay yooooooooooooo love your videos
Great vid.
I love it!❤
Nice video ❤
Great video
Now this is good content.
Bro could you do a vid on Scooby-Doo Stage Fright about who was under the mask in each attack
I wish I could throttle whoever didn’t protect the Reluctant Werewolf film. But it did give us Scooby Goes Hollywood on Blu-Ray, so… Bittersweet?
Unfortunately, HB switched to doing this for everything for a while. A Pup Named Scooby-Doo suffers from the same fate during the first season, although I believe they realized the future issue and switched starting in season two. It just really stinks for RW when it was so close to still being film like the first two!
@@Scoobytopia Are RW, Pup and Arabian Nights the main projects to suffer from quality issues like this? I know some of the Scrappy Years are pretty rough too.
@WhiteRaven696 The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries (Halloween Hassle, Nutcracker Scoob) from the Scrappy era also suffers from being on videotape I know. That might be the other reason beyond Scrappy for why that one hasn't really made it into super complete heavy circulation outside of now streaming in a few places. Arabian Nights in particular really looked awful with the upscale they did for it when I checked it out this week. I think those are all the only ones from Scooby that suffered.
@@Scoobytopia Well, here’s hoping The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries, A Pup Named-Scooby-Doo and Arabian Nights all get the Reluctant Werewolf treatment. 😭
@WhiteRaven696 Maybe we can nudge them to let Archive do more Scooby if these sell well 🥲 before this, Archive was told they couldn't touch Scooby at all as the property was considered too important for release outside Warner Home Ent, but here we are with 4...
My dvd looked good for reluctant werewolf
When I watched it and used it for my video last year, I found it pretty hard to look at it, whatever was going on with it. Not everything is fixed on the Blu-ray since it comes from the source to begin with, but definitely a lot better for me.
@Scoobytopia I literally just watched a few months ago when I bought the collection pack I did from Amazon that had it, perhaps I have different dvd print, since my part of a 3 or 4 movie pack of scooby doo movies
@Scoobytopia I'm still waiting on my blu ray collection to arrive in mail
@@sirducksworthythe3rd842 You got the Scooby-Doo! Monsters 4 original Movies Pack?
0:41, Comparison TIme
Ive been looking everywhere for these where did you find them!?
Amazon and many other online retailers should be carrying them all, both individually and in the 10 movie set!
Do you know if there are Blu-ray rips of these anywhere online?
Not that I condone it if Warner Brothers is reading this but currently there are no rips of them. They haven't even been out for a week though and it's not a wide retail release, so that's expected for now.
@@Scoobytopia It's just that it's impossible for me to buy them because they're not sold in my country.
@scoob1676 I think the same transfer used for boo brothers is already out there online from streaming, not sure about ghoul school. I'd say give it some time and the actual Blu-ray rips will be out there eventually. They will only have been available for a week tomorrow, and being manufacture on demand releases, they are going out very sporadically.
So it's another bare minimum Blu-Ray release that just has the movies and Goes Hollywood as a bonus feature of Reluctant Werewolf. It does look really good on Blu-ray though.
To be fair, Warner Archive Blu-ray releases are almost always bare-bones without any bonus features, when we get any it's usually more abnormal such as this case. And if Warner Home Entertainment handled them instead, especially Reluctant Werewolf, none of them would have looked as nice or had this level of restoration/remaster. So it's a decent trade off, especially since the all the legacy bonus features for these weren't really that important or even all that related to the films, and Archive doesn't have the budget to produce something new.
@@Scoobytopia Good point, I might get the Superstar 10 collections when the price goes down right now on Amazon it's almost 80 dollars.
Also they have coloured disc art, like the old days, which looks so much better.
I have a question: The Blu Ray edition of Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf; after the end credits, does it have the Hanna-Barbera Swirling Star logo from 1986 (just like Boo Brothers and Ghoul School) and the Worldvision Enterprises logo from 1974 (just like the remastered editions of Boo Brothers and Ghoul School) or the Hanna-Barbera Swirling Star logo from 1979 and the Worldvision Enterprises logo from 1988?
Popped the disc back in to check! Upon comparison, I am sure Reluctant Werewolf has the 1979 swirling star, not the later CG star. There isn't a Worldvision Enterprises logo at all on it if it's meant to come after, however there isn't one on the other two either on the blu-ray, it immediately cuts to the FBI warning embedded into the films after.
@@Scoobytopia Does the Blu Ray edition of Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf have the same Hanna-Barbera Presents logo from 1979 at the beginning just like the usual?
@sowisapigtobeexact2 the movie opens up on the disc at the start with the race track scene, nothing before it
@@Scoobytopia So, you’re saying that the Blu Ray edition of Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf’s Hanna-Barbera logo at the end is the same as the Warner Home Video VHS and DVD editions?
@sowisapigtobeexact2 it does appear to be the same, they went back to the original 1" master tape for it, so that must have been what was on that originally, it doesn't appear they changed anything
I love them and I want to get them❤🤩😇🤑
Hope you'll have a good day
Full collection video?
Mine at least definitely isn't as impressive or worth showing off as most people on here haha
Still would be interested in seeing it though
Ok
I don’t remember any of theses scenes
boo brothers was definitely too long in my opinion. Were any scenes cut from these movies on Blu-ray?
All four movies are uncut and fully restored more than they've ever been.
@@Scoobytopia thats nice but still BB and RW are too long imo
@nicnic9766 I would say all 10 films in this series run too long when trying to fit into 90 minutes for the TV run time. I recently rewatched another of them, Jetsons Meet the Flintstones, and it runs the same issue of just going too long and too slow.
