I remember how dark and eerie the backgrounds were on DVD but comparing it to the rescan for blue ray its completely different. The rescan is much more bright and vibrant with colours that pop, so the dark colours must have been a scanning error of the time. However I still prefer the darker tone as it sets the mood for the movie as well as its nostalgia when re watching it. But still I loved this movie as a kid and still do to this day!
Im an 80s kids and a lifelong Scooby fan my sculpting studio is even painted with a Scooby character palette. Loved your review, i remember seeing this on tv, then later on vhs and dvd 👍🏻
This was the film I’d watch as a kid if I ever woke up in the night from a nightmare. I’d wake up and put the vhs into the huge hump back tv 🤣 I was born in 2003 and I’m so so glad that I grew up with this kind of stuff
I was born in 1994 and also grew up with this on VHS. Please tell me you also watched Scooby Doo on Zombie Island, Witch's Ghosts, Alien Invaders, and Cyber Chase

Imagine portraying confederate era sotherners as having aspects to their character that aren't just copy pasted from the TV tropes "villains" page, didn't they know it would *current year* in a few decades?
I've always thought the Boo Brothers as Ghost versions of the three Stooges
The undead from zombie island WERE the good guys they were trying to save them from the cat creatures.
This movie was my favorite as a little kid and my mom got so annoyed after the first 50 watch throughs
I will never understand why people hate scrappy,he's adorable ♥ I really hated the live action movie that made him a villain =/ even the characters in later series just piss me off,even the series is against the pup,*sad*
