I found that Louisiana chicken fry mix online & I mix flour with it & really like using it to fry chicken & fish . I understand we grew up using a paper grocery bag to flour chicken then went to plastic grocery bags & now I use Ziploc bags .

I raise my own chickens and that’s the best tasting chicken!, my grandmother only went to to town once a month and twice a month was not often at all, my mother made a many friends while she traveled with her church group,they could not understand how her chicken taste so good even after it was cold

I never heard of frying oil. I use vegetable or canola oils. I’m going to look it up and see where I can purchase near me in nj. That chicken made me go take out some chicken from deep freezer. lol

Hello Chef Jeff!! I've been using Louisiana Chicken Fry Mix for years!! I love it! I also brine my chicken. I learned that tip from Chef Emeril Lagasse years ago (over 20yrs.)! I also do his recipe for a "Drunken Turkey"! Also Louisiana Fry products have a great fish fry mix that I use on all my fried fish 🐟!! 🤔🤨🧐😉🥰✌️❤🙏 P.S. I eat my fried chicken 🍗 with Heinz 57 steak sauce! In your words don't judge me, except for I'm semi-country!! 🤣🤣🤣

Chef Jeffrey, you had me laughing about the chickens in the yard. That is how I was raised. We had chickens, ducks, cows and pigs. We had a smokehouse for our meats. My Mama, would ring that chicken neck and we had to wash and pluck those feathers. That was the best fried chicken in the world. We only had to go in town for the flour, sugar and other little items, lol. Thank you for showing how us to seasoned, marinate and fry the chicken. The Louisiana Chicken Fry is a must to try, and you fried that chicken so crispy and moist. Stay safe.

My grandmother raised chickens and I remember her wringing their neck and they would be running around the yard with no head! That was fascinating to me as a child. And the taste was awesome compared to what we eat today

Oh my goodness ,Woowee looks great !
This method is excellent for fried pickle chips. I buy vlasic pickles and cut them myself. I like them a tad thicker than hamburger chips. You add cornstarch, about a half cup, to dry mix though, and you cant beat them. Never found a restaurant that makes better fried pickles than mine. But i use buttermilk in my egg, hotsauce mixture. About a cup with 2 eggs and an 8th cup hot sauce. Marinate chocken for 2 hours, pickles meed no marinade time, just dip them in it, then Louisiana wet mix, then dry mix. Most important thing though with pickles is to drain all juice and pat them well with paper towels to get dry, before you do any dipping with them.

Product and they had kernels, chicken, mix it was like the brand you had it was good and cheap .

Yes indeed. I'm from Louisiana and I use this to fry alot of stuff. I do use cornstarch in my dry mix because I love crispy crispy chicken. It's the best. I use white instead of black pepper too. Sha, it's so much more flavorful to me

Happy Friday Chef!. I will be honest, that is not the best mix to me, but I will definitely eat anything you cook. In New Orleans, a lot of restaurant cooks make their own, and pass down their versions to family and friends (fun fact) But if you are ever in Nola, a couple of places have great chicken, are Willie Mae Scotch House since 1957, and Dookie Chase since 1941.They have chicken that people will stand over 1 hour in line for. Neyow Creole Cafe is another.
Nola in building I can second that.. I use mustard as a binder . Never tried Louisiana and I’m from there 😏🤣. But this chicken do look good

I use bags for breading my chicken too lol...paper bags, plastic bags, ziploc bags etc....🥰 I have used Louisiana Chicken Fry before. I used it to oven fry some chicken. Came out really good. I will say that I had to add some regular flour to it bc it is a very very seasoned mix....but I like it and I still have some. I have regular and spicy.

I buy that too!! I love that and I do the wet batter and then you shake it in the dry in a separate bag. They sell it where I'm at. Love frying wings in Louisiana Chicken Fry. Of course I dash my wings as soon as they come out the grease with seasoning salt or cajun seasoning. Great stuff Chef!!!!
