Isaac and his brother Adam theorize on what brought Stitch back to life from the brink of death in Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch.

Experiment 626 was the first of a new species. His creator Jumba Jookiba explains he is bullet proof, fire proof and can think faster than a supercomputer. He can see in the dark and move objects three thousand times his size. In short, he was an unstable monster.
After some destruction and chaos, he eventually mends his ways, becomes Stitch, finds an Ohana and we eventually learn of one of his weaknesses that could end his life. On the day of Stitch’s creation, Jumba’s lab was raided by police and during the arrest of Jumba, the police halted a key process in Stitch’s creation. The charging of Stitch’s molecules had not been completed when they took Stitch into custody.
Unfortunately, Jumba and Stitch’s best friend Lilo seemed to be too late to save him once the device to recharge Stitch’s molecules was finally complete, but suddenly he miraculously came back to life. There has to be a reason though. There just has to be. I know how I we can figure this out! I’ll get one of the biggest Stitch fans I know! Adam! He’s my brother! Could there be an explanation using the film Moana??

Would that make stitch a Demi God because Maui is one? Could that mean that if stitch had an item from the gods (like Maui's hook) he could also have different powers?
Since they say "charge his molecules" I always thought it meant actually charging them with electricity. The reason Stitch "dies" is because the charge/electricity ran out. That's why you when have a toy that's battery ran out it "dies" because there's no more charge. But, sometimes, the batteries keep a little charge in them. My theory is that Stitch went into more of a deep comatose state because his "battery" was so low but still had some charge leaved. And when Lilo is holding him and rubbing on him, she's creating a small static charge that could possibly have been enough to bring Stitch back. Anyone agree?

I was so worried that they were going to kill him completely that I was sobbing like a child. XD Stitch is my favorite cartoon character of all time, so I would've been fuming if they had.

Before i saw this vid I thought stitch died so I refused to watch it
Every time I warch the movie I always think you know he’s not going to die then the sequence starts playing and I get choked up cause damn do the actors do a good job selling his death.
Jumba's fusion chamber is fully functional. Stitch "died" because he thinks that he's too dangerous to be around Lilo and accepts his death. This caused his molecules to refuse to absorb the fusion chamber's energy. Lilo's apology allowed Stitch to let go of his fear of hurting Lilo and overcome his suicidal thoughts.

The part that gave me chills was how David was wearing the hook similar to Maui’s on his necklace. It’s one of those many Disney Easter Eggs
Manaiakalani, it's a relatively common Polynesian symbol
Like the previous person said it’s a common symbol. As such I don’t think it was ever meant to be an Easter egg when production on Moana first started in 2011. This was a good 13 years after Lilo and Stitch started production in 1997.

In my opinion, despite Stitch dying in the fusion chamber, seconds after activation and coming back to life outside of it when all hope seemed lost for him, I think the Fusion Chamber did work anyway. Maybe it took a bit of time to recharge Stitch's molecules. It probably also monitors his health as well, hence why his molecules were maxed out after waking up. Maybe Jumba programmed the Fusion Chamber to resurrect any experiment but did not realise it.

Maybe Lilo is a descendant of Maui and Moanna. If she was Lilo could have a few unknown abilities. It's interesting to think about.

I actually really like this. It still uses the power of love thing, but tying it in with the real Polynesian lore which is already referenced in the movie makes it feel less contrived and more meaningful.
This isn’t the first time a Disney character has been brought back from death or a death like state. The power of lover over hate shows up in Snow White, and Beauty and the Beast. I think that different god/magical begins live in the same Disney universe. What if they just handle different areas? Fairies, mermaids, enchantress, witches and wizards in Europe. Dragons/ansestors in Asia. The Greek gods/magical creatures in Greece. The Polynesian gods, oceans, magical creatures in the Pacific islands. Voodoo magic/ spirits in the USA.

I think Stitch's glitches are a metaphor for Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, which means how often and severe Stitch's Glitches are, is directly tied to how Lilo is making him feel!
So... Stitch was revived by the Kingdom Hearts?
Because, according to the Kingdom Hearts lore, Snow White, Beauty and The Beast and Lilo and Stitch all share the same universe, whose core is known as the Kingdom Hearts, the heart of everything. And, according to Xehanort (the main antagonist of Kingdom Hearts from Birth By Sleep to KHIII), the Kingdom Hearts has the power to overwrite reality, so it might be able to bring people from the dead.
This "Stitch was revived by Polynesian gods" is plausible... until you learn from Kingdom Hearts that gods are weaker than Kingdom Hearts.
Honestly, Isaac looks so cute in that Stitch hat. 2018 is off to a good start
I also think the God’s story has some very fascinating parallels to Lilo and Stitch’s story.
They represent two best friends, sharing a special bond.
One saves the other through the power of love after an almost fatal encounter.
And a few other similarities.
I'd say stitch truly died and went to the afterlife where he meet lilo's nani's mom and dad and seeing that he made their ohana bigger and happier they used either polynesian mysticism or simply sent his soul back when they saw lilo and the rest the family were sad and heartbroken from his demise and thats how I think he comes back but I think the creators of this sequel will keep the truth about it to themselves
When I watched Stitch has a Glitch, my theory is that the machine did work but
-The UI was faulty, actually giving stitch the charge he needed whilst displaying that he wasn’t getting any charge
-After the machine was turned off, Stitch was knocked out and Lilo helped wake Stitch up

Well we do know by the canon series that magic exists in Lilo and Stitch's world. (Evidenced by their crossover with American Dragon) and depending on whether or not you count the later made cartoon Stitch as it seemed have a lot of magic/mystic elements to it. Personally I find it fascinating that Lilo and Stitch share the world with American Dragon, Kim Possible, Recess, and the Proud Family.

Personally, I think Stitch was in the verge of death, but not actually dead. Sort of hanging in between the two, similar to when someone is being revived via CPR during a cardiac arrest or being delivered shocks to reactivate the heart. His body literally couldn’t respond due to his already weakened state. While Lilo’s love still ‘saved’ him, I think it was due to him pushing himself through because in the sliver of awareness he held, he saw the pain she was in, and thus, fought his way back.

It was a miracle. I'm glad you both acknowledged that Stitch's revival went beyond the physical and scientific. Sometimes things happen that can't be explained or at least not in simple terms. Hey, Isaac! I was just watching your video about Mother Gothel's full story, and I found myself wondering something:
Gothel lived for at least a few hundred years, right? Meaning the magical golden flower was around for that long. But then the flower's magic was transferred to Rapunzel. Does that mean Rapunzel, when she possesed her magic hair, was immortal? And if she wasn't immortal, would the power of her hair had died with her had no one ever cut it? So maybe Gothel could only live as long as Rapunzel did? (Again, if her hair hadn't ever been cut)

I like it sometimes one guy is talking over the other. The other guy sits there awkwardly looking into the camera. It cracks me up. I feel like any moment where gonna hear his inner thoughts.

I honestly thought that you were leading to Lilo's mucous brought Stitch back....cuz he was "dehydrated" and the mucous hydrated him. But this isn't Film Theory. This the magical kingdom of Isaac. :)
Thinking Stitch's body just used a different sustaining source energy. Maybe from all the food he eats like people? His body just needed time to adapt. And his body needed to slowly switch over to it. Explaining all the glitches toward the end. The body just completely switching over since that source ran out.
I think Stitch's molecules were fully charged. There's nothing wrong with Stitch's hardware. Stitch's glitches are a software problem. The frequency and severity of Stitch's glitches depend on how Lilo is making him feel. When Lilo and Stitch are looking for ideas for their hula, Stitch's glitches are just fits of bad behaviour, and when they finally find their hula idea, Lilo and Stitch are super happy, so Stitch stops glitching. Sadly, right before their hula rehearsal, Lilo started worrying about Myrtle making fun of her and asks Stitch to hold her back if she loses control of her anger. Stitch seeing Lilo's self doubt made worry about failing Lilo, causing him to glitch out and wreak havoc at the hula recital. Then when Stitch gets the idea to do good deeds to get his goodness level chart back up he stops glitching and only starts glitching again when Lilo snapped in anger at Stitch. Also, his worst glitch happens when he is about to leave earth because at that point he thinks there's no goodness left in him. Lilo finally apologizing to Stitch for selfishly neglecting him, reassuring Stitch that he isn't dangerous, and telling him that he is still her ohana despite his unstable mental state, made Stitch realize that he'll always be Lilo's angel and decide to wake up from his coma!
that scene always makes me cry, every time i watch this movie.

Good heavens, I didn’t realize Stitch had so many Moana references even though it was years before Moana existed. I think someone saw these things at Disney and used them for Moana’s story, so clearly Moana is the one to make the references to Lilo & Stitch that no one would really notice. Good find here. 😃

Jumba and Pleakley made a fusion capsule of family's kitchen/bathroom technologies. Do they have any idea this is a most expensive toaster, blender, coffeemaker and Nani's blow-dryer to replace it? They've borrowed it, now she's had to by new kitchen and bathroom technologies at the thrift store.
Scientifically speaking, it could have been the heat from Lilo, triggering a bond in his molecules.

I've thought about this too and suspected what you've concluded, and I think it's getting hinted at throughout the movie.

Wonderful theory; and a huge hello to you, Adam. I truly believe that the Gods did bring Stitch to life but it combined with Lilo's love. She maybe have been a God in a previous life - or even Lilo was Moana in a previous life. I dunno if it's possible but it could be. =)

I think after years of living, stichs get a point where his bioprocess can alter that charge problem after it run off. So when it totoly ended, his biosystem started to work and he no needs to this system because he has an alternative for it.
