      Hey! For some reason youtube isn't allowing me to reply to your comment from the UCAT video. In answer to your question:
      An average score across the first 4 sections of 650 (so total of 2600) is the average for a medical school applicant
      700 (2800 total) is considered a very good score and should get you an interview from most UCAT universities
      My score was 685 but that was enough to help me get offers from Birmingham and Nottingham university
      For situational judgement aim for band 2 or higher.
      Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions

      @kkwin6331 4 года назад +1

      Rohan Yesudian no worries that fine thank you so Much for taking the time to reply to my query .. I look forward to your BMAT video .. could you please let me know what is a good BMAT score to get a interview offer ?? And what was your BMAT score ?

    • @RohanYesudian
      @RohanYesudian  4 года назад +1

      @@kkwin6331 So has 3 sections. The first 2 are ranked on a scale from 1-9, with 9 being the highest. Cambridge say that 5 is the average for their applicants, 6 is a good score and above 7 is an exceptional score.
      The 3rd section is the essay at is you get a numerical score for quality of content with 5 being the highest, and a letter score for use of English (spelling and grammar mainly). The average score for this section is 3A.
      My scores for the BMAT was 5.6, 6.5 and 4A.
      I hope this helps!

    Very useful video. Quick question. I came to uk in 2016 hence during my gcse period I had to learn English and study my gcse also my st target grade was a 3 because I wasn't here to sit it but I still managed to get 5A* 3A and 2 B my worry and question is will my 2Bs disadvantage me (especially because they are both in english)? Even if my boat interview work experience and a levels are great? Another quick question is I've done work experience in pharmacy 2 weeks and 1 week in clinic. I'm still looking for long term care home. Do u think that in order to be competitve and cancel out those 2 bs I should look for more? If so where and how many more? Or do u have an approximate amount of hours most successful candidate had ? Let me know thanks

    • @RohanYesudian
      @RohanYesudian  3 года назад +1

      Hi Mostafa thanks for the question. I think they will be slightly more lenient given that you had to learn English to sit your gcses, so obviously the english exam will be harder for you. But, saying that, you will have to work hard in A-level to show your academic potential.
      Your work experience is enough I think. Especially given the pandemic it will be really hard to get any hospital / care home placements. No specific number of hours is required. All they care about is your reflections and your appreciation of healthcare in the UK. If you want you can look out for virtual work experience, but you have enough already. You can supplement with reading books / articles or watching documentaries about being a hospital doctor or life in a care home etc.
      Hope this helps

      @RohanYesudian  3 года назад

      @@ElMostafaBenafia For GCSE I got 11 A*s, for A level I got 4 A*s. For work experience I got 2 weeks worth in total (this is not including my long-term volunteering placement at a care home).
      For more accurate guidance on what they are looking for in their applicants its best to check out the university website.
