I been a fan of James Spader since the beginning of his career. Blacklist was custom made for him. He was worried about getting any parts now that he is older and so seasoned. Hope this show goes on for many more years. Love all the cast members.

I couldn't stop replaying that! It's the way he tries to correct the mistake by sliding back into frame, followed by his acknowledgment that he tried but there was no way to salvage it, followed by his laughter at how stupid he knows he looked. Good effort Red!

It’s even openly said in the first episode when Cooper ask her to make her own profile to comprehend why Reddington want to work only with her. It makes sense since she’s Katarina’s daughter. Megan is far to be a bad actress. The hate she seem to provoke from a lot of people (who obviously are not refined enough to see the difference between the characters and the actors) prove she’s good enough as an actress to pinpoint what she’s supposed to be in the show. All her plays and movies/TV directors prior to the Blacklist praised her skills as a comedian and said how much she is easy and nice to work with. People saying nasty things about her are just jealous assholes who can’t bear she’s been lucky enough to spend so much time and play so many scenes with James Spader... The happiness and success of some people always make cringe some losers. All the more when they are successful in their private life too and don’t even need to work for a living. She’s a billionaire heiress and a painting Art investor. I understand it can make some hair stand on end.
James Spader has always been a perfectionist & he has even said that there are times when things don’t go according to plan smoothly then it bothers him so bad that he has to give himself a time out. Watch him in Less than Zero first movie I ever saw him in then I was a fan
Red (James Spader) is the whole show, everyone else is actually kind of annoying. Good to see the old Red is back, shooting Keen's mother, She was annoying too.

blacklist is good. is really good. but it just becomes stupid to see the same shit happen over and over again. for like the 3-4 time in this series so far. Elizabeth learns something new about Reddington and wanna take him down over it.. give it a fucking rest already.
I love this show but a couple of things I've noticed. It's very easy to sneak up on Liz and hit her on the head. (that happens in 90% of the shows) And, the FBI NEVER gets there in time. (that happens 100% of the time).
The best characters in this show Dembe Glen Cooper (although sometimes I feel that he's useless and only have meaningless lines. Like give orders to the agents about things that are obvious.) Raymond The others are okay but for some reason I couldn't get attached to any of them
Onscreen or offscreen, three characters remain the same, Red, Mojtabai and Dembe. Their real self is almost same as the character they are portraying, or may be they somehow managed to bring their charming self into the characters. After seeing Megan (Elizabeth Keen) and Diego Klattenhoff (Donald Ressler) offscreen persona I feel bad for them, because they seem to be so much more likeable than their fictional character. The writers screwed them bad.
Made liz too whiny and skittish. If she had trusted Red all her loved ones wouldnt have been at risk/ killed. Then at the end, she had the gall to blame Red for all that, when he had told her and Tom early on to stop seeking answers that would only lead to trouble. They dont listen and thus all die. I also wish red had told more of the truth at the beginning. Stringing it out over so many seasons was too long. Of course, those problems are what extended the show, but i feel it could have been extended in a happier direction. The idea of a criminal helping the fbi catch bad guys is ingenious.
I knew the Blacklist was going to be a scream. There is no way that they could be that serious and that good at being that serious without having screw ups all over the place. . .

The season finale of season 7 was odd since they had to shut down filming due to Covid. Can't wait for Season 8
