I had never seen a man with such beautiful and angelic yet still very masculine facial features....and there is something about the sound of his voice....okay sorry.....Soooo the next came the fantasy phase in which he starred in quite frequently. Hey, I couldn't help it ;) So as I've matured , things have settled down just slightly and it is safe to say that currently, I am entering the potential marriage phase...even though I am very single...just had to throw it out there JUST in case. Colbert is usually a good interviewer but here it's like he wants to keep Spader off-balance because he's threatened by his equally suave, intellectual image or something.
Spader is charismatic, brilliant, and extremely articulate - but it takes him a while to get to the point. I think that Colbert kept interrupting so as to push the flow and maximize the content into the small amount of time they had for the interview.
Yes. When you have a star and talent of this magnitude and he’s answering you with “I’ve never really thought of it that way before now” you’re making yourself the object of attention and not the interviewee.
He has so much confidence and he totally accepted himself as a person, which result in (personal) satisfaction. I also like the fact that he does not follow the trend, people are tweeting everything nowadays and even he knows that ones he starts a twitter acount or insta, he will get a lot of followers. But he thinks before he does something. I really like him a lot. Keep it up James!
This is an example of why “knowing your audience” when you’re speaking is important. James was trying to talk seriously and Stephen kept making jokes. Would have loved to actually hear James get to speak his full sentence without being interrupted with a lame joke from Colbert.

I just re-watched _Avengers: Age of Ultron_ for the first time in years, and I *had* to look up Ultron’s voice, because I never had before, and *_*holy cow*_* I can’t believe I’ve seen this guy in so many things! His voice is so good, his acting is so good, and now from this video, I discover that I love his personality too! I too enjoyed being slightly odd and a little too weird for “normal people”, and I too am drawn to the macabre, the slightly disturbing, and the dark.
+Carlos Andrade James Spader could read a phone book and make it sound interesting. I could listen to him tell stories, or just like a stream of consciousness kind of thing, for daaaays.
Am I the only one who could listen to James Spader talk non-stop no matter what he was talking about? Whether he’s weird or not, I can’t get enough of him.
One of the greatest and most underrated actors of his generation, and indeed any generation.

Would love to hear Spader interviewed by Dick Cavett, who let his guests speak, without trying to make himself sound clever.
Yess, this Stephen someone is really frustrating, he should just shut his mouth...
He kept trying James but couldn't get rthrough , love how James kept his composure

Man!!! His work in Boston legal was more eccentric than backlist.
Raymond “Red” Reddington is the Consigliere of Crime. The best male character on television.
Colbert was a disaster during this interview, please let Spader to talk, He's a very very good actor and his team but he is the main
Exact, felt the same way
Yes. When you have a star and talent of this magnitude and he’s answering you with “I’ve never really thought of it that way before now” you’re making yourself the object of attention and not the interviewee.
EXACTLY. Was thinking the same thing. The air was thick with his insecurity.
Him and Jeff goldblum I definitely want to have a conversation with :3
YES!
and David Lynch
omg...yes!
Add Christopher Walken to that mix! I could be happy to just sit and listen to them discuss whatever they want.
I was noticing the similarities. They NEED to be friends.
he also plays good guy. My favorite movies are The Watcher and Supernova.
Is there a movie with James Spader, John Lithgow, Jeff Goldblum, and Kelsey Grammer? If not🤔 why not??🤷🏽♀️
The Most Underrated actor !
He has been nominated for many awards and won 3 Emmys !!
As he ages, James Spader is gradually turning into John Lithgow.
"Fear is a currency"
Ultron could have definitely said this line
This is an example of why “knowing your audience” when you’re speaking is important. James was trying to talk seriously and Stephen kept making jokes. Would have loved to actually hear James get to speak his full sentence without being interrupted with a lame joke from Colbert.
One of the most awesome actors ever in my book. He is just so into what he does, and he sells it, every single fucking time!
He's still so handsome. I can't believe he lost his hair on top in the span of 10 years. My favorite Movie of his is White Palace :)
Great movie!
As a

Mine as well. The interplay and chemistry between him and Sarandon was terrific.
“One has to make time for certain things”. I love James Spader. That was so well timed and natural.
When your poor your crazy, when your rich your eccentric!
Colbert should stop cutting off the guests when they're in the middle of a sentence.
James Spader introduced me to shadenfreude.
+LittleGreyBag Boston Legal !
+LittleGreyBag *Schadenfreude
+PrincessPeach "a pleasure in someone else's misfortune"
Psy Psychos Yes, which is with sch not sh.
+PrincessPeach Thank you!
I love his voice so much
+Carlos Andrade James Spader could read a phone book and make it sound interesting. I could listen to him tell stories, or just like a stream of consciousness kind of thing, for daaaays.
Carlos Andrade I can hear ultrons voice
James Spader being actually sweet and normal makes him even more of a great actor
This interview pretty recent hard believe it's 5 years ago
Am I the only one who could listen to James Spader talk non-stop no matter what he was talking about? Whether he’s weird or not, I can’t get enough of him.
Love that he mentioned secretary! I will always remember him from that film
