I always do a white base coat first, then 2 coats of colour. What a lovely desk. Great decorating, lovely bedroom x
A cheap white paint is a great basecoat to save you money on the more expensive top coats of paint. My sons have rise and fall desks, they are fab. Great make over xx

When i saw you with that paint brush I was like go get a roller! . And always best to strip the wallpaper b4 hand. For me, you'll always get a better finish with a good quality paint. Great transformation X
I agree with Catherine Clark, much better to do white base on walls to block out darker previous colours...will be easier to put on colour of your choice then xx
You should paint with a roller it cover better apart from the edge

If you still have that paint on your carpet, try turps or any paint thinner mixed into warm soapy water x

👍The bedroom looks fabulous. When you had the paint on your bed to start with I was like I hope that doesn't burst open......then you went to the carpet shot...I was like nooooo! But the shade you got mixed up was better. Well jealous of the desk, enjoy ❤️

You should use a paint roller. So much easier and not so patchy.

it's too late now but I always unibond the wall first with a solution of pva glue and water. It stops what's underneath bleeding through.

You can hire a carpet cleaner from the rug doctor to get the paint out x
