This is not a negative comment,. It’s only patchy because you’ve painted it with a brush and not a roller. Get a roller and go over it and it will do the job xx

When you reseal round your bath they say fill the bath with water first for the weight so seal don't crack lol I only know coz my hubby always do it haha only painting I do is in garden well Faye I think you done bloody well xxxx

You’ll get a more even colour payoff by using a roller, one more coat and your good to go, looks stunning btw😄

Try the Astonish Mould and Mildew Blaster on the grout. I've used it in the shower and it works wonders. You can get it for around a pound from home bargains and other places like that x

My secret weapon against mould and mildew is Dettol's mould killer. Comes in a spray bottle and you need to wear mask and gloves when using it but absolutely brilliant.
Everytime we start a DIY project thinking it will be a quick job..it takes twice as long and costs twice as much.
You should be so proud of yourself for this, for someone who never laid floor tiles before you did an amazing job. I love the end result 👌

Your looking at it through the eyes of someone who thinks it's not that good because you did it.
Looks super fine and like others have said, painting emulsion with a brush on large areas will always leave it patchy and use so much more paint.
Someone else also said buying cheap is not always cost effective, check out charity paint recycling places.
We can get some amazing tins of paint for a similar price but quality ones
I adore that colour, I have a navy blue bathroom, it makes such a statement choosing a dark vibrant colour 😍
Love the colour of the paint! I have found in the past buying cheaper paint isn’t necessarily cost effective, by the time you have bought so many Tins could have had one large dulux and it gives better coverage. Grouting, get astonish, mould remover in home bargains, my tiles were like that, sprayed the astonish on and left it’s amazing! ❤️xx…the finished result is lovely, you have done amazing job, should be so proud of yourself! ❤️xx

If I were u, I would colour match that paint in B&Q and get a small tin to redo it, use a roller & it'll only need another coat. I LOVE that colour, great choice.

I use astonish mildew and mould on the tiles Just spray on the grout leave it and comes up really white xx

It looks lovely. The trick with dark paint on light colours is to put a base coat on of a darker colour i.e. Grey. Then paint over with your dark colour. Works the opposite way too! Grey way to use up odd bits of paint. Well done tho!

Hi Faye. Your bathroom looks lovely. You should buy a tub of pink stuff. Its like clay and use it for the bathroom grout. Give it a scrub with it Its really great and less than £1 xx😃

I tried cheap paint once, had to do four coats over my daughters wall, Dulux…ONE coat is all it took. I always find with paint your better off spending a bit more for a good quality one.
Also always use a roller to paint with, much smoother & above all way quicker & easier 💕

Just a little mould hack for the bathroom- if you soak a load of cotton wool (any shape or type) in a ton of bleach & scrunch it all up so the cotton wool soaks the bleach up (has to be literally sopping) then push the cotton wool along where the mould or discoloured grout is - it will stick to it nicely - then leave it all day or overnight- peel the cotton wool off after a 8-10 hours & it will be lovely & white underneath- no scrubbing required - Iv done this for years & it really works. X

Hiya Faye there's a black spray bottle in home bargains I think it's called mould. If you spray that on your grout and leave it for a bit, then swill it all off and your grout will look like brand new. I swear by it and all my family and friends too.

I love the green. If your still unsure, why don’t you paint a big black rectangle and get some square mirrors and make a MASSIVE mirror wall!!

You did a great job lovely . This is not be negative . Some times your better off paying that little bit more when it comes to some stuff. And I think paint is one of those. You can get that colour in Dulux and it covers in one coat. And on offer you can get a tin for £11. And roller is better rather than paint brushes. I don't know if you did this with the masking tape. But rather than waiting for the paint to dry fully and then try and take the tape off which can pull the paint off with it. Take the tape of when it's still wet. Just all about learning 😊🤗 xx
Roller for painting is better and then use a brush for the edges. Also use a mould spray for cleaning the tiles it’s for £1 and you can get it from Poundland in cleaning section, also your bathroom looks like same layout and size as mine. I have a slim cupboard between the bath and the door from b&m & I put all spare toiletries and cleaning stuff in that cupboard. Or you can get a under the sink cupboard, but overall I love what you did with the bathroom.

Faye great job lick of paint works wonders and proves you don't need to spend a furtune everyone else has said about certain things to use have found them to work the antoish mould and mildew is amazing and works on other stuff to 🎉🎉 bet you have a relaxing bath already 👀 take care 😇🤗🤗💞💞

Faye sometimes you can get grout between the stick on vinyl tiles? I didn’t know this was a thing just a suggestion? Also maybe using a roller on the walls for a smoother finish? Keep up the work love your vids x

Cilit bang mould spray and a sonic scrubber on the mould in the silicone works a treat! Spray and Leave it to soak for few minutes scrub and wipe! Loveeeee the video xxx

Faye use a razor from a Stanley knife to clean the old silicone off. Works a treat.

Our dollar tree = poundland sells grout, but sometimes I use just white out to fix it up. Next time you do silicone/sealer around toilet, use a slip of dishwashing detergent & water on your finger. It won't stick to you.

All you need is one coat of a better quality paint. You'll find a similar colour and then use a roller. It does look great, though. A nice place for you to relax. 💚

Ugh. I felt your pain. My bathroom was harder than doing the hall, stairs and landing!……almost lol. Too many nooks and crannies to try to paint and no room to do it. I did love how it looked at the end. Beautiful! 💋 xx
Faye I love how the bathroom looks, well done my lovely!! The green is a gorgeous colour! Doing tiles is difficult!! Especially if you live in a very old property that has wonky walls, floors ect!! You just have to do your best..... which is EXACTLY what you did.... an it paid off!! Brilliant!! 😉👍👍❤
You can buy black grout pens from amazon which dose look great when applied. Will make your tiles stand out .

Hi Faye, feel your frustration, I'm in the middle of doing my kitchen. Can't afford new cupboards, so have covered them with DC fix, also used same for worktops. Think I'm going to run out of wallpaper, but don't want to pay£20 to cover just a small bit, so off to B & Q later, to see if I can get a sample piece . Next is the floor, dreading that one, but seeing you do yours has given me inspiration , and a kick up the bum to get it done. I think you did brilliant, and loving the colour, 💕

Bathroom turned out nice, but always use a Roller, as you get a even finish. Also Faye, it doesn't always pay to buy cheap paint. I only use Dulux. I find it is long lasting. Flooring is nice. And the 🕯 candles over bath looked really nice. 👌

Faye please give yourself a break, it's fine to cock up we all do and learn from experience . Going forward, next time use a roller for emulsion except for cutting in,then it's a brush. Always leave a good 4-6 hours between coats, it takes as long as it takes. Not all paints are equal, cheaper paints tend to be thin and require lots of coats to get good coverage. Some tips from one old lady who has learned the hard way, 1. never put matt over silk emulsion as it dries it will craze and crack but you can put silk over matt oddly. 2. Regards silicon sealant, when it gets mouldy try soaking a roll/sausage shaped piece of cotton wool in thick unscented bleach and place onto silicon and pour more bleach on top and leave for at least 5 hours then remove and the black should be gone. 3. When applying new silicon place masking tape to edges either side of silicon line before applying the silicon . Apply silicon then run a wet soapy finger along it, then peel off tape and you will have a perfect line of silicon.
Despite all your issues you did very well.

I decorated my kitchen a few months ago, I didn't dare attempt flooring. Yours looks amazing 👏 well done! I'll not be decorating shit again...I'll be hiring someone haha. Tired painting round my roller blinds which was ridiculous. Never again haha

I love it. I also used this paint in my bedroom. The only thing I would say is if you can seal it with something, otherwise every touch and splash marks it. I have to redo mine.
