Freezer paper is different from wax paper. This has a dull paper on one side and a shiny coating on the other.

Have you ever tried to use a printer to get the pattern on the freezer paper or have you only traced it by hand?

Yes! I actually have a video showing how I do that process!

So you are talking about felted wool?

    • @wildolive

I almost exclusively use wool blend felt, but as long as you use a lower temp on your iron, you can do this with other types of felt too.

Can you use parchment paper if you don't have freezer paper

Unfortunately not. The reason freezer paper works is because one side has a plastic-like coating and that’s what temporarily adheres to the felt.

Thank you.....so very much.....does it leave the fe!t sticky as it's not for applique ...it's for a little rabbit?..
You explain and show to make it so attainable when you don't have a clue how to.😃

It doesn’t leave the felt sticky at all! I will say that depending on the felt, it can pull at the fibers a little, but ironing the felt fixes that immediately. By the way, wool or wool blend felt are best for this.

@@ducky72la Yay! And you found out something that I only recently learned...that the freezer paper can be used more than once. I wish I had known that long ago!

how to fan fold 1mm stiff felt so they all folds come out the same.

Hmm, I haven't tried this ever, but I would probably try using a ruler as a guide, working back and forth, and making the folds over the edge of the ruler. That way you can actually measure the depth of each fold. Good luck!
