That sounds like tear away. Is the type I need.
Wonderful video but it still doesn't address what I want to do. Question What if you want to make your own embriorery patch that will sit on top of fabric. I want that 4d effect but I don't use a machine to stitch I want to do this by hand. So I need to know what kind of stabilizer I need fir this purpose. Can you help me? Thank you.
Lol😅
Thank you so much, I was working on a project and went and bought a cheap hoop on the whim. Oh gosh, I was constantly having to pull the fabric outside the hoop to keep the fabric tight around my project no matter how tight I screwed it. Then I came across your video. Now, it works great and keeps the fabric taut. Thank you so much. 😊
@@MrSparkyV I’m so glad this worked for your hoop! It’s so much nicer to stitch with taut fabric.
I use the needle method
That makes me feel more normal!! 😅
A new site? I’m in!! 😮
😂
Apple pie
What stitch are you doing when you go under the other stitch?
That's reverse chain stitch. It's pretty much identical to regular chain stitch, but working it in reverse is a lot easier, I find.
Yes, and it is good you point this out early as it has stopped many a potential stitcher from continuing with the hobby. Counting becomes a chore, IMHO.
Love your work ❤, thanks for sharing.
Unfortunetly the stitching holes are on the Jersey appliqué number vinal type fabric ….any thoughts ?
Ooh, vinyl is really unforgiving. Your best bet is probably covering them in some way with other embroidery or applique/patch.
😂😂 sooooo true
This is so helpful and concise. Thank you!!!
The only possible way!
So you stamp that top material and stitch? Then what when done?
You can actually run the material through a printer. When finished, it dissolves in water!
💜💜💜💜
have you ever made felt dolls? I'm trying to create a felt nativity scene and it is proving to be a lot more challenging than I thought!! but very fun so far, I havent even finished one person yet lol
so good, thank you
My favourite
❤❤
Finally I found someone to turn the part around. My grandma taught me this method, when i was a little boy. Have not done stitching since she died 15 years ago. Now I ordered a custom picture for my wife as a christmas present. Gonna be a tough one, 38x28cm on Aida 14ct😅. And then I see everyone using the stab method. It looks so painfully slow! It looks much faster in your hand. I got taught to start the cross from top left and then go from bottom to top on every stitch. That way it feels even more like sewing, which is the actual name of the method. I don't get it, why almost everyone tries it and tells, that it's not that much faster, when they never tried to use it the way its called and supposed to be done 😂
thanks. I just made a fpp avacado and want to stitch a sweet face on there. Perfect!
This is genius! I follow Jesus, too...
very helpful video, thanks!
❤❤❤
Genius!!!!🎉
How would you do this on stamped crosstitch and how do you start it?
I haven't done any stamped cross stitch since changing to this method, so I can't say for sure. But I would think it would be fine, as long as your fabric has enough structure and you don't pull the stitches too tight. And I'd start it just like you would any other cross stitch. Sometimes that means doing some of the stitches with the "stabbing" method to get it started.
😂
Very cute- but I wish you would‘ve shown this on a lighter colour of felt as I can‘t really see the black stitching on the black felt…
Yeah, probably not my best move! Eventually I'll make another video that's not holiday specific and will have lighter colors.
I think using a lighter color would you to see the stitches better. Also I’m not sure what the appliqué stitch is love ur videos!
Lighter would be easier to see and I'll eventually make another video that shows it better. Appliqué stitch is basically whip stitch, but instead of going around the edges of two pieces of material, you're coming up through one layer and down through both layers of the appliqué. I have a separate video showing more of that.
@ thx. I would luv to see that video please. Thx for the great info and contacting me back!
Squirrel!
You’re an angel, thank you so much
Omg you just changed my life!! I've been struggling so much lol
Horrible showing
Fabulous! Exactly what I was hoping to find. Thank you!
All of these are very cute! Do you make some sort of garland with them?
Thank you! I usually hang them on a branch (I've been making a new pattern set for each season), but you absolutely can string them as a garland!
The only way
Where did you got that felt from?
I get my felt from BenzieDesign.com
@@wildoliveohk thx btw!
