- One of my dogs decided to join me for this funky tune today! Guess the little guy's a Rocco Prestia fan!
Admittedly, I'm not playing this exactly like the original and you can hear the overlap a little bit at certain parts, but nonetheless, it's a fun tune that i wanted to toss up on youtube!

Ausha if u just have been playing for 4 years n bass is your primary instrument then u have magic in your hands and brain. Also u probably had the best teacher in the world. Holy smoke! You are so good in so many ways. However, something doesn't add up. You "About" page says you've been playing 4.5 years. This video is six years old and you have definitely been playing a for a good while here. What year did you actually start playing? (It really doesn't matter. Even if you'd been playing 50 years, you'd stall be great)

Sometimes , to get really funky, you've got to allow yourself to get ugly. That's really easy for me to do. Impossible for you. LOL
BTW, check out how Rocco mutes his strings. He pretty much plays the majority of his notes with his first finger and uses 2,3 and 4 to deaden the strings. You have to move around on the neck a lot more but it makes it punchier.

Very rad! I'm actually thinking about making an updated video where I play Village of the Sun into Echidnas Arf because when I look back at that video I see sooooo many mistakes that have been ironed out since. I made that original video not long after learning Arf so it bugs me how many mistakes I made!

Are you a TRANS?
Not sure where you are getting the line but it’s not accurate if you are trying to actually cover the tune note for note. Missing quite a bit and adding things that aren’t there. Try transcribing it and listen closely. I’m sure you could get it where you can play it correctly. Alternatively there are tons of accurate transcriptions on the internet if you can read notation. Not criticizing as it’s a tough tune to get right and you are doing well for someone who
probably hasn’t played that long. I’ve been playing this tune since the 70s so just trying to help!
Thank you so much for your feedback! i am well aware that there are sections im playing that are incorrect, i had to learn this tune quickly for a show so i learned it by ear, clearly i take full responcibility for the inaccuracies but i suppose for a video just for youtube and my own fun, i didn't really care put much more time into it. Its all for the fun of it :)

This bass line is tough and just holding the driving beat is a challenge. This bassist takes the bass line apart if you are interested. ▶ 20:26
