- Excuse my not so perfect timing :(
I tried my best to get the timing as tight as possible! But as you can hear, I'm off here and there, I'll keep working at it :)
Also during the verse/outro I mixed the take you see on the screen with another take, so some parts don't quite match
And as many requested, I did the two angles but combined them so they'd be on one screen at the same time.

Well this is the version I keep coming back to. There's so much life in the playing.
By far this is the coolest cover of this song, love it !!! Great slap and pop technique! And for those of you criticizing the sound ... don't listen to it strictly on your laptop or phone, listen to it though a decent stereo system, it makes a word of difference!

Would recommend you guys check out Jim Bennet's cover, he's a wizard on bass yo. While Jim's one is more technically impressive, this one sounds better imo cause it grooves with the actual song instead of being every element of the song on bass like Jim's cover

Kinda, but it it's also radio pop and rock that don't do justice to the instrument as well. Not that you even hear low end frequencies through radio stations, and then players that only stay on the root of the chord, BORING! A good bass player will stand out in a healthy way, unless you're on a gig and the sound engineer/or the venue is a dick that is. =P
Believe me.. If u ever get into it u will realize it is not... U will notice it always in songs and enkoy the hell out of it
underrated but when you check cover from popular song you realize they are a big part of the song, even in the melody. it's not just a simple basic beat maker

I feel like bass used to be uneerrated but now it seems even a lot of mainstream songs have some catchy basslines. A lot or people will like a song just if the bass is good.

Definitely agree on this one. Many other bass covers of this song are either dullish or overplayed or just not skillfull enough. This lady is funking it like a true pro. Just perfect stuff.

Sure. She is good, but not exactly great...Jim Bennett is not only great, but his technique is amazing.
I just don't understand that a Bassist (I assume you are) would like her version more than his, because frankly, he does much more and he does it better...
But maybe you like her simple style, or maybe you just like the girl...You are allowed to have your own opinion of course, but I just don't understand the reason behind that opinion...
I think that she mainly sounds good because she is playing with a great song...

ventende depends on the musician. Private lessons don't help me at all, but some people are really bad at using things like the internet to help them learn, and learn way more with lessons.

I tend to play guitar over my right knee. Over the years I found that prolonged playing led to right shoulder pain so I alternate to my left knee from time to time so that I can lower my right shoulder. Just something to bear in mind if it ever happens to you. Body dynamics.

You added slapping and alot of riffs that are not in the original song. And I should add that your solo is one of the best solos in the history of pop music.
she is extremely talented, another amazing Bassist who plays a very similar style is F Chopper Koga from Gacharic Spin/ DOLL$BOXX, she is my favorite female bassist all time. you should definitely check her out.

Its just going down the scale in octaves, common in slap bass.
