Michigan homeschool advocate cites concerns over privacy if registration is required

Earlier this year, Michael Rice the superintendent for Michigan public schools, wrote a letter to the legislature calling for all students to be counted in at least one category: public, private, parochial or homeschool.

In my just finished long term 6th grade position in the area. A 13year old was home schooled for 4 years. I consider her a Lost child because she is not even on the kindergarten level yet.
The mom and dad say that they took turns homeschooling her and they didn't have to register her.
