I have just seen Dimitri's support compilation and Edelgard's compilation too this is by far the most popular support of them in the game, I really liked how Dimitri is able to establish a conversation with Edelgard this time, I also like that Edelgard is the one who is open to talk about her past, being a huge contrast to what happened in the previous game, Chris Hackney and Tara Platt did a great job here.
Also 2:29 love to see the Reach for My Hand moment of this game.
@Меѳодїи I won't spoil what exactly happens, but you need to be on the secret path in order to unlock their supports. If anything, you can get the supports of the Lord of your choosing. So if you are playing Edelgard's path, you can get her supports with Dimitri and Claude.

@@DINGOlord not true, that is made up from fans because they assumed she & Lysethia are the same, but Lysethia were the early "prototype" experimentation, she had no crests & was implanted with 2 but Edel was worked on much later & they have perfected their experimentation + Edel already had a crest so she got only 1 more, Edel lives a long life in most of her endings & not once mentioned she died in any of her ending, Lysethia is different from Edel, Lysethia is mentioned in game to have no more than 5 years but Edel never mentions that nor Hubert. So it's a headcanon made by fans.

@@richardshiflett5181 She actually doesn't, it's just heavily implied. It's obvious from some of her dialogue the audience is intended to assume that, especially if you read between the lines of her dialogue with Lysithea, but that isn't the same as confirming it. For all we know the vague "other side effects" to her having two crests which Edelgard never elaborates on could just be severe dandruff. Maybe that's what makes her hair white. Unlike Lysithea she never goes into detail, so we don't actually know.

Coming From Scarlet Blaze, consider that i killed 3 of his friends, forced 1 into hiding and probably into exile, and turned 2 against him. I'm surprised he's calm about this
well, Ingrid sacrifice himself, Sylvain was in rage and even Dimitri can't stop him and Dimitri prefers that ashe keep his life rather than give blind allegiance to the kingdom. dimitri claims to take responsibility for his actions and the consequences, so it is relatively normal for him to act in this way.
also because the character has already seen how sylvain was consumed by hatred.
Dee and El have a good support.

She doesn't want to have emotional sentimentality with somebody she sees as just an obstacle to her ultimate goal of reforming the empire and bringing the three kingdoms under her control. Even though they share many of the same ideas of how to change the world for the better.

I can't believe people thought she was merely pretending when a significant plot point in Azure Moon in Three Houses was Edelgard finally remembering him.
I get it, ya'll hate Edelgard, but folk's headcanons were actively rewriting the story to make her more evil.

If anything, most people already knew that. What I find interesting is she's very opposed to the idea that the boy from her childhood could have been Dimitri. Probably something of a defense mechanism, and wanting to keep one of the few good memories from her childhood pure.
@@sandrac.8604 Edelgard is consistently shown to be the kind of person who doesn't dwell on the past, a mindset she developed as a way to cope with the loss of her family.
@@joseph86255 So... exactly what I said lol. But she's had no problem bringing up how she was good friends with a noble boy from the Kingdom in both 3 Houses and 3 Hopes. So it shows she is a bit fond, but not outright attatched or influenced much anymore. And it helps she doesn't remember any details, while Dimitri does. She was curious what happened to him, but not enough to actually try to find out. But learning it was Dimitri would still hurt. He would have already crossed her walls more than she'd ever allow. Not that she would change how she's treating him as an enemy, but a happy memory would be tarnished and trampled because of her ambitions.
That's what I like about their relationship. It was cute, but people grow and change. Even to the point of becoming enemies simply because of cause or circumstance. And Edelgard doesn't even remember it, but Dimitri is plagued by it. Different flavor of tragedy. I'm glad he doesn't insist on telling her here and is content to simply cherish it and accept their situation now.

Edelgard started a war and invaded his land. Dimitri is seemingly too attached to the institution of the church. They have killed each others friends and soldiers.
@@serronserron1320 he's not attached to the church, they're more of a liability to him. The church is what granted the kingdom (and the alliance) its independence from the empire after the battle of lion & eagle which the kingdom won, so if he allows Edel to take the church then she'll absorb the kingdom into the empire & become its ruler, as it's her goal to rule all Fodlan under imperial rule.
The differing ideologies really shine through in a timeline where Dimitri was never vengeful towards Edelgard, since it's the sole reason they are fighting this time around.
Lol, Edelgard's hyperfocused on the task at hand, not that I'd blame her, obviously. Trapped in a different dimension.
I mean they still fight here too because Edel still wants to conquer Fodlan.

I'm saying that in this timeline, Dimitri's fixation on revenge doesn't play a part in the conflict since he never accused her of Duscur in this game, iirc. So the clashing ideologies (Edelgard's opposition of the Church VS Dimitri's support of them) are the ONLY thing driving the conflict, and Dimitri behaves a lot differently as a result. I just kind of like the contrast between the more ideological nature of their conflict in this game, and the more personal conflict they had in the original game.

They seriously should have just made different versions of this chapter for each route like come on.
1:17 This is why I am obsessed with this game. When the two talked like that in three houses I feel like it had a lot of layers but compared to this it’s more- I guess you could say interesting. They both know there is so much blood on their shoes…innocent children, woman and men died from each parties armies and yet they both still keep pushing. However both Dimitri and El have drives to succeed in their own ideals no matter the cost. And let it be know all three lords are 19/20 years old. The mental, physical and emotional toll must be heavy on their shoulders…a great game 10/10 for real.
Note: yeah I understand it’s a timeline where being at that age it’s expected to lead or get ready to step on the throne but still

Dimitri is the youngest of the three lords, whereas Edelgard is the oldest.

Dimitri in this route talk about her too, she was strange and distant from him, "Cornelia" tell us Edelgard kills Anselma but Edelgard never meet Anselma again, so she could kill an Agartan instead.

Is the support conversation in AG different?
I was able to get this conversation between Dimitri and edelgard but forgot to take a screen shot of him holding out his hand to her on my switch how am I able to see this again so I can take it? I took a screenshot of when Dimitri was giving his speech to his soldiers

Can you get both on the same route?
I've noticed that each Lord has a support that feels like it's written for a specific route. So this one between Dimitri and Edelgard for example feels very much like it's written for AG more than SB, as it feels incredibly out of character for Dimitri to be fine with talking to Edelgard after she's murdered so many of his closest friends. Then you have the Claude/Dimitri support, which feels very much like it's written for GW since Dimitri outright states he and Claude are on opposing sides and asks if Claude intends to destroy Faerghus (which obviously makes no sense on a route where they've teamed up). Finally, the Edelgard/Claude support makes way more sense on SB, since Edelgard makes her intention to destroy Faerghus abundantly clear, which would very much be a problem for Claude since he claims to want the war to end with all countries still standing.
I have a ton of issues with the Zaharas chapter in general, but I will say that if they all _just_ got the support that feels like it's written for their specific route and left the other one out my problems would at least be somewhat mitigated.

I'm trying to look for it because got I this but I forgot to take a screenshot of it(dimitri reaching out his hand to edelgard). I was able to get one when dimitri was giving his speech to his soldiers on the last battle but I want one with them two!

Not a true ending perse.. more like an added chapter before the final fight of whichever route your on.. so far no confirmation of a "true ending"
@@bradleydrake6941 well that’s disappointing. I’ve seen the three main endings and they are all bare bones, No character epilogues, and an extremely abbreviated epilogue that more or less says the three main factions are still at war.
I was going to get this game, but now I think I’ll pass. I’d gladly pick a golden cheesy “happily ever after” ending, or even a dark/tragic ending, over a non-ending.
From what I know, Scarlet Blaze has a more optimistic ending if you get this chapter, not sure about the other routes. I don't think the final chapters themselves change at all, though.
@@B-rex395 Same dude, I mean, the gameplay is fire but this is a big ass disappointment for me, Im starting to have second guesses bout buying the game after finding out that this golden route is nothing but a fucking gaiden chapter in the middle of the three routes...
I have learned that there is no good end when it comes to war, you can only forge on your path with little regrets. Sure the peace is here for now, but in the end, nothing is set in stone. The game even with the new protagonist, shows that this land with all of it's different ideologies, even though they can coexist, it truly needs change for the better.

I think you mean Edelgard being the aggressor is a fact in every timeline, Dimitri is literally just minding his own bussiness & trying to make his people happy but Edel always aggress, so it's on Edelgard, not Dimitri.
@@shadowsquid1351 Though this is for the most part true as Edelgard is considered an antagonist/the cause of the war, I would have to slightly disagree. Dimitri eventually becomes the aggressor towards Edelgard after he discovers she's the Flame Emperor, immediately assuming she was the one who caused the Tragedy of Duscer and murdered his parents, which is the reason for his anger and bloodlust. When in reality. she had no part in either, and his continuous chase to kill her for the deeds she never committed is what makes him an eventual aggressor towards her.
@@teaffeeblend u do remember what she did in the holy tomb? She as the flame emperor invaded & ordered her soldiers to kill anyone in her path, not just that but we actually go to battle against her just few minutes before. Dimitri only rightfully retaliated against her aggression in the holy tomb after *she* tried to kill him/his friends in battle & ordered her royal soldiers to kill them only for him to fight back, which also happens with Claude & the SS path, they all retaliate against the flame emperor terrorism. In part 1 before she invaded his country she tried to kill him & Claude at the start, Dimitri & everyone else even the black eagles kids were fighting back an aggressor & a terrorist. At the end of part 1 she started her war, marched against the kingdom & conquered the western half. Edel is always the aggressor whether as the flame emperor or as the war instigator, Dimitri only retaliates. Yes from Dimitri's pov there's also a personal grudge against Edel but it doesn't erase that she is ultimately the aggressor & that all characters fight against her regardless.
How are they in the same route
Fits more with Azure Gleam, really. Dimitri would have no interest in speaking to Edelgard if this is Scarlet Blaze. By this point in SB, she has killed Ingrid, Rodrigue, Gustave, Baron Dominic, Sylvain, and possibly Ashe, Mercedes and Annette. Dimitri would want nothing to do with her, step-siblings or no.

How does one get this conversation
Can someone explain? "It would've been right before she was exiled. You would know better than I" what did she mean? (by) (you would know better than I?) did El know her mother went to the Kingdom? once exiled? and even took care of Dimitri? So Dimitri would know more? El knew her mother was exiled but I don't remember her ever knowing where her mother went.
Eldegald know that she and Dimitri are step siblings (in the Academy phase at least), she just didn't know Dimitri and Dee are the same person
I'm a little confused, did edalgard kills Dimitris family? I mean she said it was her uncle who caused the tradegy but did he order her to kill dimitris parents?
Her uncle was really Thales in disguise. He worked with "Cornelia" to turn Edelgard's mom against Dimitri's dad, resulting in the Tragedy (See Dimitri's support with Hapi for details). Dimitri thought Edelgard was involved with the tragedy in Three Houses because she worked so closely with the Argarthans as the Flame Emperor.

You'd "Like" to think you can say the same? if that's how you fell about starting a war you might want to rethink your life choices.
It's the most she CAN say. She genuinely believes in the choices she's made just as much as Dimitri believes in his own, but she knows that Dimitri doesn't agree with her stance or perspective. Dwelling on the conversation won't change anything, because neither agrees with the other.

She understands that there is going to be a lot of sacrifice and bloodshed, yes, but as evidenced in her support with Shez, she clearly doesn't understand all of the consequences. When Shez brings up the farmers and the other common people, Edelgard doesn't give any justification of her actions or her war, she just... says she does and doesn't elaborate. Verbatem:
Shez: "But you know the toll it's taking on your people, yet you choose to press on with the war anyways. So you've gotta have a good reason, right?"
Edelgard: "Of course. You certainly don't mix words."
And... nothing else more is said on the matter. Fact of the matter is that even though dwelling on the conversation doesn't lead really anywhere, and Edelgard chooses to redirect every time it's brought up because 'no side will ever agree', you still HAVE to have SOME reasoning. I could stab a man in the street and attempt to refuse to elaborate on why I did such an action, but that won't fly. I can't just say "Oh, it doesn't matter why I did that, and we shouldn't talk about it because we both know we'll never agree on this." Like... no.
Or also, just because I say I have a good reason to do something... doesn't mean I have a good reason to do it. I can *say* I had a good reason to do something bad, but that doesn't mean I *actually* did. As a general rule of thumb, don't trust an ideologue's opinion about the justifications or moral costs associated with the change they want to enact, because it will just about always be incongruent to the reality of the situation.

I actually find Dimitri kinda boring in three hopes lol. His psychotic boar phase in three houses was what made him interesting for me but none of that takes place in three hopes.

@@PKRockin7 Yeah but she could have asked him questions or asked his perspective on things, but she didn't. This game exists to flesh out more of Fodlan's lore and show new character dynamics. All they did was damage control on Edelgard and desperately make excuses for the plot holes in her route.
