These two are just like two mates singing karaoke on a Friday night yet they’re actually two of the most talented musicians ever. The fact they’re just normal people is why they’re so timeless
I loved the TV version, but adding grab your sweaty bollocks and don't marry her fu*k me made me lmao. This is a brilliant song I love it, nice one Paul Heaton
Tidy job guys. I've got the studio version (with the swear word) in my car of the era. Wife went silent for 10s when she heard it, then it was "did they sing that?" etc.!, so I replayed it!
I totally get what you mean. There are some songs that are better speeded but generally those are rock songs... this one probably doesn't work as well as it could at that speed, which is a shame cos as you say Jaqui's voice makes the song
I know when I used to play live in front of much smaller crowds than this you get that adrenaline and everyone plays faster, but you don't always realise you're doing it in the heat of the moment.
I actually had to go back to the lyrics on this one - but thanks for the biggest laugh I think I'm going to get today... The line is "she's a diploma in just hiding things" - no marines involved as far as I can tell. I think I might prefer your version though.
@@bigfatcol Many, many, many thanks and I'm pleased I've been able to brighten your day. I've been convinced, since I first heard this song that this was the lyric (I was in the RM's at the time, the bathrooms always had to be spotless and we were very good at hiding things😁). I've just watched the clip again and tried watching JA's mouth as she's singing what you suggest, I couldn't get anywhere near it at first but after about the 6th viewing I finally heard it. That said, I'm going to stick to singing the RM line and I hope you will too ha ha. I'm just pleased someone else can hear it! Much appreciated.

Paul Heaton legend respect to a very humble genuine human being
Whats humble about not paying my royalties for my songs.
I am the composer not the repeat version
Saw them at Doncaster a few weeks ago. Hit after hit, and their voices are still as good as ever. Brilliant gig. They still kick ass.
When the audience starts singing at the end - Paul’s face! So humble! Wow.
Just an absolute class act..
So glad Jacqui is back! Been CRAZY about her since day 1 with Beautiful South!!
Absolutely brilliant version! Thanks for posting!🙏 Greetings from Athens, Greece.

Dont Marry Her But Me...from Liverpool Lou City x❤
WOW
Thanks 4 Uploading ...
I,ll never understand why live is speeded up. No need... Jacqui's voice is just so lovely. Keep it natural... please...

Does anyone know what the '...royal marine just finding things' lyric is about?

Anyone know what the jacket is that Paul has on ???
I’m not bothered by the swearing but I don’t think it brings anything to the table either! The cleaner version is just as good!
that guy must to make a decision one day!
I wouldn’t marry the other one 😮
She reminds me of Martina>:) Who I have always loved. She thinks like an engineer, so much. Because she is one?
Why was RT there ?
owd paul havin a rennie
Don't Marry Her But Me 💃🐛💪🎙🎙🎙
Listening live seems to fast
Has Paul joined the Navy?
Anorak man!!!!!
Whys it so fast
Thats how they play it live
@@Zetep why
Because the baliffs are on the way
No words
#fuckme
And me jacqui x
Love the dirty version....😅
😂😂😂
Controversial opinion but I think this song suits better being sped up as when it’s performed live
Brilliant, no they don’t quite get the deserved credit, sounds old fashioned but maybe dress to please an audience, I know I’m missing the point….
Can't believe people go crazy over over music so lightweight
Your loss weirdo
Great set but is there really any need for the f me in the song. Am I just old fashioned?
What is wrong with you it is only a word. FUCK is a word. That's it.
That’s the original version.
It was toned down for radio edit/play
You're old fashioned
Yes, there is.
I’m old. You must be ancient
Totally unnecessary swearing lyric.
