When im making enzymes from left over fruit and vegs it takes at least 1 month.. Flies free in a covered containers. Use the water for cleaning and the remains to fertilize the flowers
Impressive on multiple levels: one, the stench and grossness you put up with, two, dealing with the fly infestations it causes, three, taking all the time to do this and four, cleaning up whatever horrors are left afterwards.
Hmm.... I still have that dirty plate full of seed just as I left it. Should I cover it with soil and see what's going to happen? I can start it tomorrow.
Now that I think about it, I've never seen, held or tasted a papaya irl...I guess it must be really sweet because of the ways the bugs stormed it almost immediately
I'm also not a big fan, but truth to be told I ate papaya only on a couple of occasions. It's not common here, and first when I ate papaya, I tried to eat a seed, and damn.. that tastes so bad. Something I remember everytime I see papaya xd
From where do nematodes get into all these substrates? (I'm not talking about the larvae of flies, but about nematodes that are also visible). Flies bring them?
@@melthyouka5280 which one? I was watching ones from my old area from like 2012 and scaring myself and then watching FNAF vhs tapes and then EAS warnings and uh I should stop doing that
Yes! Check this out: imgur.com/YjkAFqo I started to film this watermelon almost 3 months ago, and it's still looking great. Yes, it doesn't look as vibrant anymore but it's not rotten yet. I will film it until it completely decomposes. It might take some time, but if you want to see how it looks months later just ask in the comments and I can show you photos of it. :) Until then, check out this watermelon video (if you haven't seen it yet): ruclips.net/video/aT7Zv9gmmKI/видео.html

Not for long. I'm getting rid of them, because they eat the mold and I wan't to make moldy videos.
@@PhotoOwl I can't believe they eat the MOLD! its crazy
@@the-real-super-genius ik but when there is nothing dead, decaying or decomposing they're just plain annoying 😭

I wonder how much the process would change if the recording area was insects free

The insects/larvae are already on the fruit! Teeny tiny little icky things cover everything we eat!

I wonder, are those seeds still able to grow after all that? The decomposition of that papaya sure took it's toll on them.

Whoa that was insane and I guess also beautiful!
Thank you!! :)
I'm trying to get through my fear of worms and decomposition watching these videos
Exposure therapy! Super uncomfortable but it works :)
I love your time lapses. Very unique.
The fact that you have to let a papaya grow moldy on the outside to signify that it’s ripe has never appealed to me.
If I donated my body, would you do a time lapse of my decomposition?
That got moldy quick.
Also every time I see the bugs I wonder where you film these. If in your house how do you get the smell and bugs out.
It's in a separate studio what I use just for time lapses. This way I don't have to live in the smell.
Glad to hear it. Keep up the good work.

Very sweet and juicy! It is also great for your intestinal tract.

Ah yes, another forbidden soup made by a papaya and maggots
Good video thank you for sharing fully watched
Thanks for visiting! Much appreciated
It kinda looks like it was creating a painting at the end.
Yeah, kinda looks like that :) But not as much as the ending of the melting popsicles video
Eeew, seeds.
Also, i love how you show the larvae trail. Great vid!
Glad you enjoyed! I also find that part quite interesting
Am I the only one who finds themselves randomly holds their breath when the mold gets intense ? lol
Yes
How long does it take to clean up? I almost throw up touching the food in the sink. Idk how you do it, man.
Imagine going out of town for five days and coming back to maggots and flies everywhere
Just 2 day and this is the apocalypse

Ripe papaya is so god dam delicious. The flesh has to be a vibrant orange like really close to bloody orange kinda red.
How on earth do you clean these?

I didn't know a papaya was a berry. How do they taste?
Papaya is pretty sweet, you never tried it? Beware of the seeds, they are awful!! The seeds taste so strong that they use them as fake ground pepper
@@PhotoOwl not that I can remember, at least not recently. I need to find a market that has a more diverse selection of fruits.

@@PhotoOwl true science is curious, so do you know the answer as to what happened to the insects on the side? They had like a white powder on them? and they didn’t move, did they die?
These flies have a pretty short lifespan, and they died naturally. I'm not sure what that white powder is
It would be so much more interesting to see in a controlled environment without the help of insects and weather conditions…totally different process!
Very true, by now I learned how to control the fruit flies. This is an earlier work
The music is horror 😅
