    Hi great video. Subscribed. I have some questions.
    1. How and when do you identify if it’s male or female?
    2. Do you grow only female?
    3. How many years does the tree produce good fruits? Do you replace the tree every year?
    4. How tall is your tree in centimetres?
    5. What kind of climate do you have?
    Thanks!

    • @v87garden
      @v87garden  Год назад +8

      I try to answer your question as below
      1- It a bit hard to identify male or female seed. But I have research and fond that to identify male or female seeds we need to soak the seed and when the seeds sinks down it is the female seeds, while the floating seeds is the male seeds.
      2- Honestly, I not sure the seeds I grow male or female.
      3- It take almost a year to produce fruits. If you take care well you can harvest serval year.
      4- My papaya about 2 meter tall.
      5- Here I have only 2 season ( Dry and wet season)
      I hope my answer meet your question.

      Thank you for the great video. Amazing! Seems you don't have birds, lucky you!
      I wanted to add something about male and female papaya trees. I heard the seeds from an aphrodite papaya fruit (the ones giving long fruits like in the video) are always female either aphrodite again. Only female trees have seeds giving a part of female and male seeds/trees. I hope it helps and I hope this is true. From my experience I never got a male papaya tree from aphrodite fruit seeds.
      Cheers!

      Papayas are quite sensitive to cold temperatures, and prolonged exposure to cold or frost can cause significant damage or even kill the plant. They thrive in warm, tropical conditions and are not frost-tolerant.
      To protect your papaya plant during the cold season you have to bring them to indoors or you can grow in greenhouse

    • @v87garden
      @v87garden  5 месяцев назад

      Honestly, i am not sure too but based on research to know male or female seed we need to soak the seed in water and the seed sinks down, it is the female seed, while the floating seed is the male seed

      Normally papaya has male and female flowers in a single plant but if you have a farm the recommend should have some male plant to make more fruits productions
