I discovered Katie Pruitt on a roadtrip, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic, and I've been listening to "Expectations" a lot over the last few weeks. Katie and the band sound wonderful and you can really feel the emotion through the music. Wish we can watch you live soon. Stay safe and be healthy!
I just recently stumbled across Katie Pruitt (auto loaded in my Spotify after another album finished). The song was "Expectations". I was painting in my studio and stopped immediately. I rolled over to the screen to see who the artist was and immediately selected her only album and just listened. And felt it. Some of the songs made me tear up. All of them made me tap my foot and smile at some point. I am a 58-year-old guy who loves all kinds of music and Katie has immediately become one of my favorite current artists. I wish her good luck and a long successful career.
I have her album,...her voice is bonkers good, as well as rocking the guitar she can!!!...the band "phish"...at times has been accused of mocking song writing, or actually struggling at it. There lyrics can perhaps mean nothing make no sense, yet there skills and ears work very well. KP...rocks...singer song writer is a gift;..just don't forget to be a wanderer..maybe..serious, serious..some times wraps the gift to tight.
So happy to find this new artist and can’t wait to see her get the exposure she deserves. What a wonderful talent! She’s also got talented people supporting her. Very cool!

I thought the "stripped down" version you did here was just about perfect- loved the arrangement, the instrumental parts were delicate and complemented Katie's guitar and voice. The lovely vocals/harmonies and the arrangements for the instruments danced really nicely together. Bravo! I'll be back tomorrow to listen to the other two songs.
Katie is the real deal. Love her and her music. Each song is crafted, I put her in the same category as Caitlyn Smith, they both fly under the radar. Both should be massive, both are not. There sometimes is no justice in the music business.
