Oh yes indeed... However, it should be noted that some timeless classics, such as 2000 A Space Odyssey were underrated from the beginning, yet gained necessary appreciation over time! XD
+ahmed sorry for responding to an old post, but i would just like to say that i don't like this movie largely because it feels too....brainless. When I watch this scene, I feel like i'm being dumb down to someone who is only 18 and enjoying explosions and shit...and maybe that's what it's for. Maybe the movie is meant for teenagers..i don't know. But as someone who is in the mid-30s, i prefer something with a bit of sophistication...i like action movies ,but i don't like action movies where there doesn't seem to be any tension. For example - whenever the humans are getting slaughtered by the khryptonians, and superman managed to save a few of them, my thought is "um...ok...good for you? I don't even know their names so why the fuck should i care" In short - without any sort of emotional attachment to the characters, it's hard to get into the action.
+ahmed a good example of an action film that has great characters + a plot that makes you care = Winter Soldier. Now THAT'S an awesome movie...i hope every action movie aims to be like that...
That's why this fight scene is great, they capture the strength and speed of kryptonians. Barry would have to be slightly faster but other than that, try to replicate this CG when he fights.
As long as it's better than he quicksilver fights in AoU, I'll be happy. I trust Zach Snyder. He knows how to make an amazing fight scene. It's his best quality.
You know what i don't get about this movie? When people complain that he is not even trying to move the fight out of the town. I counted atleast 3 times he tried to do that in the first minute of the fight.
Am I the only one that admires the soldiers in this movie? I mean yes there totally outmatched in every way. Yet fought on regardless, especially the guy who pulled out a knife on that woman who was clearly a superior being.
+The Darkfrost Since when does this make american soldiers so awesome? In real life they probably would already retreat. And not only America's soldier would do that, every nation's army/soldier would retreat after losing so many soldiers to a single enemy.
+LordJaric idk people are dumb. Before this movie people hated superman because he was too perfect, too much of a boy scout, now they made a flawed and more relatable superman and now they hate superman because he's flawed.... like wtf? Make up your mind! You can't win with the haters.
"Superman doesn't even save people except for one Ranger in this movie" it's not like he saved the entire fucking world from getting terraformed into Krypton.
Bobby Boucher what are you talking about, yes he did!, thats why he flew right into that giant engine, which was changing earths gravity similar to kryptons, dumbass
+lairdriver Captain America: Winter Soldier scored a 89% on rotten tomatoes, while Man of Steel only scored 50% and BvS scored 27%. Man of Steel and BvS sucked cuz it's just like the Transformers movies. Instead of too much explosions, they had too much CGI, too much action, and too much city level destruction. Don't get me wrong I love this scene, it's friggin awesome!
PHNX EN3RG Zack Snyder is like Michael Bay. Instead of *EXPLOSIONS!!!*, Zack's specialty are these epic fights, sooner or later it'll become repetitive and end up just like the Transformer movies...
Fucking LOVE Chris Meloni's character in this movie. And how at 3:26 he's like "Bitch, I don't care WHAT planet you're from, or what superpowers you have... You about to get cut, ho!" lmao.
Ancaroliveira he says "a good death is it's own reward" , then crashes the plane against the eart-forming machine , saving the planet.. sounds like he meant : dying in order to save the world is a good way to die.
Faora was honestly my favorite part of MoS. She did so much with so little. Insanely beautiful, but still a total badass and menacing as hell. I love the way she moves so fast it looks like she is teleporting, reminds me of DBZ fights... I hope she returns from the Phantom Zone and gives Wonder Woman a beatdown 💪
@@kalinlawrence5414 Superman fights and beats Darkseid semi regularly, who is a god. Faora giving Diana more than she can handle isn't too big of a stretch.
"The fact that you possess a sense of morality, and we do not, gives us an evolutionary advantage. And if history has proven anything, it is that evolution always wins" - My favorite line in any superhero movie EVER!
While we are all geeking out on the bad-assery of the Kryptonians and Zack Snyder finally - FINALLY AT LONG LAST - capturing what a fight like that on Earth would actually look like - getting the speed, the power, the IMPACT utterly RIGHT... *ahem* Let's take a moment to appreciate the one man in this fight - maybe in the whole movie - who TRULY had some epic COURAGEOUS BALLS OF STEEL. The kind that even Faora respects! Colonel Hardy. Throwing everything at her and knowing he'd lose. And finally drawing his FREAKING KNIFE! He KNEW he'd die fighting her head on and NEVER. BACKED. DOWN. NOT. ONCE. She hardly deigned to even acknowledge any of the Earth soldiers as anything other than distractions to be swatted aside. But she actually talks to Hardy with a measure of respect. You can see it in her eyes. She didn't have to draw a knife herself. It was superfluous. Probably ceremonial even back on Krypton. And certainly redundant on Earth. But she does it anyway. She's still going to kill him, and they both know it. But she's going to give him the warriors death she thinks he deserves. Why does he do this? It's not a pure deathwish. He's not suicidal or insane. He actually had a plan. It's his men and his responsibility. He's already ordered the airstrike on his own position. He knows he's going to likely die either way - so he's going to draw her attention and keep her focused on him - not his men. So she'll actually be there when the missiles and bombs hit. Thing is - because Superman interrupts them. His plan actually worked AND he got to keep his life.
Critics, damn critics, when they say a movie is bad, their words are absolute, and everyone will says it's bad, even though it's actually good. this movie is one of examples.
Hey I love Marvel studios too, but when in their movies have you seen actual civilians or soldiers actually die on screen? Like how faora killed those US soldiers? Thats why I like DC a little more with how they show that peoples lives are at stake and are mostly helpless to defend themselves from supervillians like zod.
Dude...The First Avenger, soldiers are diying left and rigth during the attack at hydra, in the avengers people and cops are being blown up, same with age of ultron during the hulk rampage
Casanova Frankenstein So I guess you were expecting iron man to rip the Captain's head and shove it up Bucky's ass?. The whole thing in "the war movie" started because a bunch of people died at the start, which add up to global discontent towards the avengers. One thing the movie had in common with the comic it's the big lack of superhero deaths, mostly, only normal people died
I love how they have the superior training and military experience while Superman has better control of his powers, making the fight somewhat balanced.
Too bad the last battle wasn't more like this one. The mix of hand to hand combat with their powers is really well done. The last battle with Zod is just them flying each other through skyscrapers over and over.
+XDarkF3arX the ending of bvs sucker punched me. i didn't think they would do that. bvs was more fun and darker than mos but i give both a 10/10. only movies i saw 2+ times in theatres other than the new star was in the last 19 years.
People said there is no humor and if you go to 0:11 you can see that in the wall says No Parking and yet there is a truck there and because the truck park there look at what happen to it. Humor does not need to be one liners. Love MoS and BvS.
Correction. The wall says "No Dumping" with a small sign next to it saying essentially the same thing "no dumping allowed." There was no "no parking" sign or wall.
The shot of superman flying low to the street at 2:22 to deliver a couple punches to the giant kryptonian always blows my mind. Love this scene and love the film!
I really like how superman fights in this scene. He battled two Kryptonian soldiers, one who was certainly stronger than him and one who was certainly faster than him, simultaneously, by himself, and these two soldiers seemed to be the most elite fighters in the Kryptonian army second to General Zod himself. Not only that, but in their limited screentime they also showed exceptional teamwork. It's evident that they had trained and fought together for a long time. Clark was able to battle and even ultimately defeat them both, by himself, although he had help when the military distracted Faora and allowed him to curbstomp Nam-Ek one-on-one before getting back to her, but during the 2-on-1 he still held his own and countered them both with surprising skill when you really pay attention. 0:00 - 0:15 After Faora uses her superior training to outfight Clark and mock him, he quickly adapts and immediately comes back to overwhelm her, utilizing his own advantages instead of fighting her way to immediately change the tides of the battle and start curbstomping her. 0:15 to 0:25 Nam-Ek joins Faora and the tides change once again back to the Kryptonians, as they use their teamwork and respective advantages (Nam-Ek can manhandle Clark and Faora is much faster than him) to start curbstomping Superman. 0:40 - 1:14 (This is where the real CQC skill comes out) Superman once again adapts immediately to the changing circumstances and again takes the advantage. Despite being grounded he is able to outfight Faora while simultaneously dodging Nam-Ek. With the ease that he trips and slams her, and then uses her as a weapon against Nam-Ek, I'm inclined to view this as Clark can now curbstomp Faora in CQC. Ultimately he catches them both in a grapple simultaneously and takes the advantage by unleashing his heat vision. 2:22 - 2:30 and 2:59 - 3:10 Despite being ambushed by Nam-Ek while trying to save people, Clark is able to very quickly take the advantage in hand-to-hand despite Namek's greater strength and training, and end the fight in what I would describe as an outright curbstomp. 3:20 - 3:30 Clark finishes off Faora as well, although it was definitely a blindside, he smartly destroyed her life support system and exposed her to Earth's atmosphere. He knew the senses would overwhelm her, again using his own advantages to exploit the enemy's weaknesses. Overall, although the fight began with Faora using her superior training to manhandle Clark, he proved himself very determined and very adaptable, and by the end of it, it seemed like neither Nam-Ek nor Faora were a match for him one-on-one. They needed to work together to overwhelm him, and even then, he was quickly adapting to that too.
Obviously he was stronger than both, on account of being more on the yellow sun and having more experience with his powers. But ... the military training of both and above all, the brutality of Nam-ek made Superman stand at a disadvantage against the pair. I say more, although Faora was more skillful, was being a weight, Nam-ek is who secured the victory of the pair. Now imagine these two with a few months on the yellow Sun, the thing would look black pro Super, even in the 1 to 1.
+Arrownoir Actually, because he is Batman, he will predict and plan for any situation where Superman would do that and be able to counter him before he even does it.
I've always felt that the action scenes in DC movies have been more intense and connects to audience in a way. It's different from Marvel's usual stereotype comedy.
I love Christopher Nolan, but I have to say this: If Man of Steel was directed by Chris, we won't have this awesome fight scenes. Seriously, only Zack can put up these satisfying scenes.
One of the best CGI action movies I have ever seen. Ppl say only the action was good but story had no emotion, but that Pa Kent and Clark convo in the movie is one of the best father-son talks ever imo
I never been a Superman fan but this is such a great movie. I liked the way they told Superman story, the action was amazing and Zod was one the best Villains in comic book movie ever.
Ummm... that's not new. Like, at all. Like, not even new in Action Comics #1. Shit, even way back in the early 80's a few years before Crises on Infinite Earths, this wasn't new. If you'll recall, Superman 2 had three villains from Krypton that managed to overpower Superman and force him to trick them in order to defeat them.
I always adored this kind/style of cinematography. The quick zoom ins/outs, the speedy camera panning, and the shaky-like camera recording kind of feel.
ainsley toledo Um...no. Perhaps in your opinion which I respect. However even critics and audience disagree with you. A 75% Fresh Certified Tomato score and a 86% Audience score.
One of the most amazing fights I've seen in a movie. The shaky cam didn't bother me in this one since I could see the fight well enough to get invested in what was happening. Superman was outnumbered, outmatched, and totally new to the conflict. Could have done better with the story, tone, and whole relationship between Cal-El and Lois (could have made Lois more likeable as well), but they did a good job here. The fight scenes and special effects were top notch.
1:46 and 2:42 I like the fact that the Army Rangers aren't displayed as some wimpy asses in this movie, and each individual will try to engage the enemy despite the overwhelming opposition. A lot of other movies will treat them like some 5-years olds scared of boogie man.
I really don't understand how a comic book fan doesn't like this movie. They talk about the logic gaps and yet ITS A FUCKIN COMIC BOOK MOVIE. ABOUT SUPER PEOPLE. Man of steel is amazing.
Well if you're talking about what I think you're talking about, They had help. Superman embarrassed Apollo(god the sun),So he beamed Zod & Faora down some Solar energy in the middle of a fight with Superman & Wonder Woman.
I still don't understand what was bad in the movie? Or maybe there are way too much expectations from from DC & specially for movies Batman & Superman.
Maybe DC movies are expected by audiences to be just as Marvel Studio`s movies. Superman, Batman and most of Dc heroes have been depicted as campy for years, specially on TV (not so in comics).
Gaurav Solanki I don't understand why critics don't like this movie either. it's like warner bros only listened to the critics and not how much money it made which was a lot
Personally, I could have done without the 30 minutes of Krypton at the beginning. I couldn't get into it, as I knew it was going to blow up and none of it mattered. I would rather have found out with Clark. Or cut it down.
Ok everybody dosen't get nothing about this movie sad....but I'll just tell all of you the whole story general zods plan is to make Krypton born again to start evolution to get everything back if zod gets that to happen all humans die and krytonians are back Earth is not earth anymore superman stops zod from doing his plan superman isn't gonna let that happen so he saves the world because even tho he came from Krypton he still sees Earth as his home
You know what I noticed? Man of steel got pretty mixed reviews when it first came out. But it's been getting more and more praise as time has gone on. I feel the same will happen with BvS (the ultimate edition at least). Heck, I've already seen that start to happen. Man of steel: 8.5/10 BvS(ultimate edition): 9.5/10 So stoked for suicide squad, Wonder Woman, and justice league. #DCEUROCKS
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "SUPERMAN FINDS THE SCOUTSHIP ON EARTH AND CONVENIENTLY, IT HAS HIS SUIT" Clearly you missed the part where he used his command key on the ship. which allowed him to create his own clothes with his family crest. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY DID PA KENT SAY IT WAS OKAY TO LET THE CHILDREN ON THE BUS DIE?!?!?" He never said that. he said "Maybe" what he was trying to tell Clark was that somtimes, because of his abilities, he would have to make some tough decisions. he also wanted to make sure the world didn't find out about him Until He Was Ready. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY THE F**K DID CLARK DESTROY THAT GUY'S TRUCK? THAT ISN'T FITTING FOR HIS CHARACTER." There's a reason this movie was called "Man of Steel" and not "Superman". in this movie, he's Not Superman Yet. this was his origin. him growing up and BECOMING Superman. Clark has made mistakes. he's not perfect. I'm sure we've all done stupid things when we were younger. imagine ow dumber they would be if you had super powers. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHAT THE F**K IS WITH ALL THE RELIGIOUS UNDERTONES?" You must have never seen anything with Superman before. Super has ALWAYS had Religious themes. some settle, some not so settle. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "PA KENT'S DEATH WAS F**KING STUPID. SUPERMAN COULD'VE SAVED HIM!" Superman Possibly, but CLARK, NO. Pa Kent knew he was gonna die, and he died doing what he thought was right. He was protecting his son. in that scene, Pa Kent locked eyes with his son and told him NOT to save him. h he knew that in that moment if he looked away, Clark would've flew over there and Change his life forever. Clark did Nothing, obeying his father's wish and it haunted him for the rest of his life. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY THE F**K DIDN'T SUPERMAN USE HIS BREATH, SUPER SPEED,HEAT VISINO, ECT DURING VARIOUS PARTS OF THE FILM?!" this is a problem with the character that has this much history. the audience knows what he can do, but the character in the movie doesn't. Clark had only discovered some of his abilities. so he still has to learn how to control them which they showed in the part of him learning to fly. let me put it to you this way: let's say someone gives you a sword. are you instantly a master swordsman? you could hurt someone with it, but in order to have control over it properly, you'd need training. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "THE FIGHT IS TOO F**KING GRATUITOUS" so two Titans get into a fight in the middle of a city and destroy most of it's surroundings with no regard for what's around them. Oh wait I'm sorry. I was just describing "Pacific Rim". I don't think that dragging a boat down the middle of a street and smashing monsters into buildings is showing mush concern for the people around them. (I'm not saying Pacific Rim is bad, I'm just pointing out the double standards) You can't say the destruction in "Pacific rim" is Awesome, but it was Gratuitous in "Man of Steel" it's one thing if you just don't like the movie, IT'S ANOTHER IF YOU'RE BEING A HYPOCRITE. in "Justice League Unlimited", Superman launches darkside through buildings and destroys parts of the city. and No One complained about that. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY THE F**K DIDN'T SUPERMAN SAVE ANYONE?!" Actually He DID. (When He Could) however most of the time he was also trying Not to get himself Killed! again he's New to these powers. for 30 Years he's been the strongest being on the planet, but now along comes three people who match his strength, and one of them is a battle hard military commander. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "SUPERMAN COULD'VE JUST BROUGHT THE BATTLE SOMEWHERE ELSE" Zod made it clear that was never gonna happen! Faora even says that their intention is to Kill ever human on earth! in "the Avengers", New York was being Destroyed, why couldn't they take the fight elsewhere? BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T! same thing here. and the big one, Superman Killing Zod. Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "SUPERMAN NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, NEVER EVER KILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Except when he DOES. in Superman #1, he throws a guy off a cliff. in Superman #2, he destroys a facility and Kills everyone inside! in the same issue, Superman lets a terrorist choke to death on poison gas. HE EVEN TAUNTS THE GUY AS HE'S DYING! but that was the OLD superman, let's move ahead a bit: in Action Comics 5 83, he MURDERS MR. mxyzptlk in Superman 75, He KILLS Doomsday. in Superman 82, he kills Hank Henshaw in Justice League 22, he KILLS DR Light by Melting his head! he even killed the Joker. he's even killed in various versions of the Superman TV Shows. for example in the last episode of Season 7 of "Smallville"he Kills Brainiac. Never Kills? THIS WASN'T EVEN THE FIRST TIME HE KILLED ZOD! in Superman 22, he killed zod and the two other imates that escaped from the Phantom Zone. then in Superman 2 (the Movie) he strips Zod and the others of all their powers. THIS IS WORSE THAN WHAT HE DOES IN MAN OF STEEL. because in superman 2, Zod's now powerless and at his mercy. What does Superman do? He breaks Zod's hand and throws him off a cliff into the freezinf arctic waters. Nod falls to his death and Lois punches Ursa into the deaths as well! but I guess it's okay because they JOKE ABOUT IT! with Clark killing Zod in "Man of Steel", it HAD to happen! Zod had lost everything and made it clear to Clark that he would not stop until earth was DEAD! There was No Kryptonite, No Prison on Earth could hold him, and No More Pantom Zone. ZOD. WOULD NOT. STOP. when Superman was holding him and Zod was using his heat rays, Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY DIDN'T HE JUST COVER THEM UP WITH HIS HANDS?!" because Zod was as strong as him and that only serve to burn his hand and loosen his grip. Try grabbing a Hot pan. what do you do? YOU DROP THE PAN! Superman would've let go,and Zod would've went on to kill even more people. going back to Pa Kent's death, Clark did Nothing, and lost his father. Now, he Knew he needed to Something or he would loose everything else he cared about. he then did what he had to do. a Choice he didn't take lightly. do you want a reason why Superman doesn't kill? HERE'S YOUR REASON: He not only killed Zod to save the life of Countless people on earth, but in doing so, he was killing the only other connection he had to his people. he didn't just Kill the guy and Joke about it, he was Very Affected by it! he didn't want to do this, but he had no choice! people complained about this too. of course he would have an emotional outpooring. what should he have done?! make a smirky comment and fly Lois back to the fortress for a solid super dicking? Humans just a flew a Jet into the other ship killing all the passengers both Human and Kryptonian. that's okay but Superman Killing Zod is Bad??? what does that say about humans? Humans are allowed to be imperfect, but Superman's NOT?? I understand why the Christopher Reeve movie is considered better, but........ Superman can fly around the earth backwards which reverses time. that's okay, But Him breaking the neck of a madman bent on destroying earth is the worst thing ever?????? besides your confusing this with Batman. he's the one with the no-Kill claws. BUT EVEN HE'S KILLED! he killed people in the first two Burton Batman movies! and no one complained about that?! and now they complain about it in "Batman V Superman"? the movie shows the growth of Clark and how he's coming to grip with where he's from, where he is know, and where he's gonna be in the future. it's the step that takes him from Clark to becoming Superman. the People were afraid of him but are learning to approach him. that's why the line "Nothing sir, I just think he's kinda hot" Makes sense. there's a difference between disliking a film, and just looking for things to Nitpick. personally I love the film. I'd rank it really high up there as one of the best superhero films. so this Isn't the Superman you grew up with, but you know what, the Christopher Reeve Superman isn't the one your parents or Grandparents grew up with either. should the Character Not be allowed to evolve because of how you think he should act? that he should remain Exactly like he is in the comics? if that was the case, he'd still be misogynistic prick who kills without conscience and frequently belittles those around him.
I hate people who hated this movie and their hate destroyed DCEU. They were complaining that DCEU is too dark and gloomy. I loved that DCEU was opposite to candy MARVEL. Two different universes. In DCEU civillians die, superfights cause actual damage and casualties and US army joins the fight - that was cool. DCEU was flesh, bone and blood while Marvel was cartoony and gentle. And those haters made DCEU producers puts stupid jokes to their movies....Such a good start with MoS and such hopes.... :
That fight was epic!!! The True potential & capacity of a stunt between kryptonians finally shown in all it's glory.... And in between superman tries to save people... People just hating for no reason at all... The best comic book movie ever... Waiting to see BvS.... Excited!!!!!
zayan syed I don't think a Zack Snyder would get the humour of DB. In a perfect world: a big director who actually knows and understands DBZ gets to direct a DBZ movie. Just like how a whedon directed the avengers, he actually loved the comics beforehand.
+Kaiser man in my opinion no one can direct dbz visually better than zack Snyder and where as humor its on writer hand one good writer+zack synder = perfect dbz movie
+Kaiser - I'm not the biggest DBZ fan, but I respect it for the classic that it is. The biggest problem DBZ faces in Hollywood (as well as other anime's like Akira and Ghost in The Shell) is that (1) It's not respected by Hollywood executives. (2) Movie directors don't respect nor see the value in Anime. They also don't understand the appeal, unfortunately. It would take someone like Zack Snyder or Quentin Tarantino (2 men who actually respect anime) to make a decent adaptation. But then they'd need the studio's financial backing to make it happen. Look at it this way, Hollywood directors and studios didn't respect Godzilla or Superhero films until recently. Now they see the money they can make, thus making them (Hollywood executives and studios) respect it. So now they put more effort into the authenticity of the genre/character, thus making a good adaptation. It's going to take a lot for DBZ and Ghost In The Shell to gain respect and want to invest in an authentic cinematic take on these properties.
Devin Corbett superman just isn't a good character his character pretty much has plot armor I mean zod is a warrior but he gets beat by a boy raised in a farm in addition superman always had powers that made no fucking sense like his flight.
robert rainford superman has been exposed to the yellow sun longer so it was a battle of raw power vs skill. raw power being superman and skill being zodd.
Most underrated movie of all time anyone else agree
Yup
Oh yes indeed... However, it should be noted that some timeless classics, such as 2000 A Space Odyssey were underrated from the beginning, yet gained necessary appreciation over time! XD
+Gustav Ramirez true
+ahmed sorry for responding to an old post, but i would just like to say that i don't like this movie largely because it feels too....brainless.

+ahmed a good example of an action film that has great characters + a plot that makes you care = Winter Soldier.
Now THAT'S an awesome movie...i hope every action movie aims to be like that...
one of the best movie fight scenes i have ever seen
Yeah!!
i know right who was that big guy why is he and that girl not on injustice like what the faack yo but zod is like come on yo
i know he looks like he can be a boss in halo its so cool
I agree
well u didnt see the batman fight scene for save martha in BvS then
they need to make the flash's combat like Faora's where she dashes into 5 guys in a split second
That's why this fight scene is great, they capture the strength and speed of kryptonians. Barry would have to be slightly faster but other than that, try to replicate this CG when he fights.
or just make the fights at normal speed then just speed up the footage and add the effects
+HardModeGaming I guess that could work... But would that make it look as if their teleporting almost
not if done properly or just shoot the actor at super speed seperate from everyone like the flash show does
As long as it's better than he quicksilver fights in AoU, I'll be happy. I trust Zach Snyder. He knows how to make an amazing fight scene. It's his best quality.
You know what i don't get about this movie? When people complain that he is not even trying to move the fight out of the town. I counted atleast 3 times he tried to do that in the first minute of the fight.
he tries to fly away but they kept grabbing his cape or spearing him
+insanityman84 Superman isn't man.
***** Compared ot the other kryptonians he is just a normal man to them
+Mercury Black Why'd you lie and say Yang broke your legs? You's a fucked up individual for that. No respect from me.
+Mercury Black And I'm taking my like back.
Faora is hot as hell
***** i saw it in theatre, awesome movie
+Mad Wings hahahaha
Seconded, but I had to do what I had to do.
+General Sarasota
But in that scenario I get to have sex with her? Fucking sweet!
A good fap has its own reward
Faora-Ul is such a badass....I hope to see more of her in future DC films.
she died
She lives, she is trapped in the phantom zone.
You don't know that Snowflake
supastar she got sucked into the phantom zone
Yes!! Faora vs Wonder Woman!! would love to see that
Am I the only one that admires the soldiers in this movie? I mean yes there totally outmatched in every way. Yet fought on regardless, especially the guy who pulled out a knife on that woman who was clearly a superior being.
haha true, I'd be pissing my pants if I was him at that point
Yes dude this is why Americas soldiers are so AWESOME
The Darkfrost American soldiers?, no. Human soldiers.
+The Darkfrost
Since when does this make american soldiers so awesome?
In real life they probably would already retreat.
And not only America's soldier would do that, every nation's army/soldier would retreat after losing so many soldiers to a single enemy.
Yeah those guns did a lot of damage bro
Even after the hate I heard be placed on this movie, I just watched it and can only ask what was so bad about it? It was pretty damn good.
People hate the apparently op superman. Pfft batman is more op
I agree... atleast its better than Age of Ultron and Superman Returns
+LordJaric idk people are dumb. Before this movie people hated superman because he was too perfect, too much of a boy scout, now they made a flawed and more relatable superman and now they hate superman because he's flawed.... like wtf? Make up your mind! You can't win with the haters.
+LordJaric Superman is not an easy character to understand, especially for teenagers.
I know right but I think people think it's bad cos of the destruction they caused during the fight
these scenes always keep me on the edge of my seat! man of steel was badass
Same one of my favorite superhero movies ever
"Superman doesn't save anyone" they said.
***** What about the people on the oil rig, and on the bus, and Ious lane twice, and his mother, and the whole fucking world?!?!
+Will James exactly! and those people at the end from being vaporized by zods heat vision
deandre hollaway Oh yeah, how could I forget? Thats actually my favourite part of the movie.
I still can't believe this masterpiece was rated 70% on rotten tomatoes. Easily the best superman movie to date.
This did not get a 70%, wtf.
You're right, this got a 56%
www.rottentomatoes.com/m/superman_man_of_steel/
It's a fantastic movie.
+Josh427SS so why did you say it got 70%?
JoeLouis628
because I fucked up and didn't fact check it at the time of the comment.
Making characters appear to move extremely fast has been a challenge to pull off, but they really nailed it in this film.
I love how Zack did super speed, in MOS and Batman v Superman. Justice League's speed was more standard slow-mo.
Now just use this technology and make a dbz film and do it justice lol
Faora is just ... godess of destruction :D
Beerus would like to have a word with you
Dont worry I have food for him :P :D
Yeah she is
im surprised the didn't put the ullminaty in hear
Can you believe someone said WW could beat her?
Her speed blitz moment is one of my favorites of all time. Throwing trains around is fun, but to do move that fast so effortlessly is spectacular.
One of the best super-powered fight scenes ever in live-action film...
Best depiction of super powered beings beating the shit out of each other ever committed to film.
Arguably the best fight scene in a comic book movie yet. Synder really nailed this one.
+lairdriver winter soldier highway scene is better, no fake ass cgi
+SleepingBoss Meh, we all have opinions.
That's the reason why it sucked. There wasn't anything dramatic about it. Besides, Winter Soldier is not alien level combat.
+SleepingBoss Sorry but MOS easily trumps Winter Soldier.
Don't get me wrong I love this scene, it's friggin awesome!
people complain about zack snyder, but the truth is without him you wouldn't get these kinds of fights.
PHNX EN3RG You're so right dude!
+Sec 100 same
PHNX EN3RG true!!! They wouldn't got that warehouse scene from bvs, hell they wouldn't even get BVS at all if it wasn't for this man.
PHNX EN3RG Zack Snyder is like Michael Bay. Instead of *EXPLOSIONS!!!*, Zack's specialty are these epic fights, sooner or later it'll become repetitive and end up just like the Transformer movies...
Dark Steel+ It's like saying people will hate marvel for creating too many jokes for no reason.
this is how superhero vs supervillain fight should be, not joking every 5 mins like other superhero movies
You mean like in Justice League? Lol
@@TheRealVolt your marvel tard is showing 😶
@@JustsomecCARguy "YoUr mArVeL tArD iS sHowiNg"
Fucking LOVE Chris Meloni's character in this movie.
And how at 3:26 he's like
"Bitch, I don't care WHAT planet you're from, or what superpowers you have... You about to get cut, ho!" lmao.
+Best Bi LOL
+Best Bi He deserves a come back in the future!
+Ancaroliveira he blew himself up crashing the plane in the gravity warp..
+Kuroro Luxifer Maybe not, maybe not...
I think she would be a good Catwoman
JT Brah omg she will be a good fight fir Wonder Woman
nope im for wonderwoman don't forget she is a demogod
@@kalinlawrence5414 Superman fights and beats Darkseid semi regularly, who is a god. Faora giving Diana more than she can handle isn't too big of a stretch.
@@mainman3476 I know that but I couldn't see how superman's getting so many hits without taking a little breath
I don't give a damn how much hatred this movie gets, I loved Man of Steel.
This is legit, one of the best Superhero movies ever
I keep forgetting how great this movie was.
bro, never forget
"The fact that you possess a sense of morality, and we do not, gives us an evolutionary advantage. And if history has proven anything, it is that evolution always wins" - My favorite line in any superhero movie EVER!
While we are all geeking out on the bad-assery of the Kryptonians and Zack Snyder finally - FINALLY AT LONG LAST - capturing what a fight like that on Earth would actually look like - getting the speed, the power, the IMPACT utterly RIGHT...
*ahem*
Let's take a moment to appreciate the one man in this fight - maybe in the whole movie - who TRULY had some epic COURAGEOUS BALLS OF STEEL.
His plan actually worked AND he got to keep his life.
logandarklighter
Beautiful words buddy, you are so right about that Colonel Hardy did had Balls of Steel !
Say what you will, but DC has awesome female characters. Faora in Man of Steel and Wonder Women in BvS.
Don't forget Harley Queen, or The Joker will hunt you...lol
that girl got hands, she too fast
She's very hot too
+Eiwar II Very hot hands
Faora UL?
+astien perez No one ever taught Superman how to fight hand to hand, that's the difference.
+astien perez She's on a strict diet of CGI.
I watched this movie last night and remembered what it's like to be blown away by a film
Watching this again just made me realize just EXACTLY how much he was holding back against Batman in BvS.
Critics, damn critics, when they say a movie is bad, their words are absolute, and everyone will says it's bad, even though it's actually good. this movie is one of examples.
Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) once said that, whereas book critics are often writers themselves, most film critics have never actually made a movie.
SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT,BUT THIS MOVIE IS SO FREACKING AWESOME!
Dude...The First Avenger, soldiers are diying left and rigth during the attack at hydra, in the avengers people and cops are being blown up, same with age of ultron during the hulk rampage
first thing loki does in avengers is stab random shield agents and later cuts a dude's eye out
Casanova Frankenstein
So I guess you were expecting iron man to rip the Captain's head and shove it up Bucky's ass?. The whole thing in "the war movie" started because a bunch of people died at the start, which add up to global discontent towards the avengers. One thing the movie had in common with the comic it's the big lack of superhero deaths, mostly, only normal people died
Chando 2099 LS that's cause it's a Disney company and Disney is for fucking kids
^^^^Are you forgot the pinnacle of all that is batman? Batman movies are much batter than most single superhero movies under marvel studio.
Kryptonians would wreck asgardians
Odin/ Gaia >>>>>> Thor > Loki/Hela/Enchantress > Superman > Average Kryptonians > Average Asgardians.
Odin would wipe the floor with every kryptonian.

Best superman movie ever. Fuck the haters

+paul green so but Mos did it better
+paul green the scene is better than the Superman 2 entirely
its a reference to it so just saying also think superman 2 is a good film even though it s outdated
+Mad titan you are a hater right?
this movie is so much better than Batman V Superman
Ryan Rod Totally
Well yeah but most movies are
AttentionJunkie no they are not.
This is such a stupid comment. Clearly you cant understand movies that have even a little bit of depth to them.
Nope BvS UC is better.
I love how they have the superior training and military experience while Superman has better control of his powers, making the fight somewhat balanced.
Exactly!
sTeAmPuNkHoUsExD3 Great observation. Pretty much the only times Superman had the upper hand were when he utilized his flight powers and heat vision.
I like this chick. She's hot.
when shes not wearing her armor like in real life she is way hotter
Well she does have that body tight suit for about 1 second in the movie...
No one is hotter than Cavil tho
This girl is however!
Sry, I bet Zod is banging her
Faora > every Marvel main villian in the last 14 movies
why because she is hot?
Because none of the Marvel villains are memorable except for Loki
+Young Sinatra Tonez baron zemo wasn't that memorable but he was a pretty good villian...
Mohamed Umar I agree to a degree
Netflix series counts ?
Too bad the last battle wasn't more like this one. The mix of hand to hand combat with their powers is really well done. The last battle with Zod is just them flying each other through skyscrapers over and over.
Actually it's zod throwing superman through skyscrapers and superman fending for his life. Not the other way around.
+I am Superman pretty sure I seen super man falcon punch Zod numerous times but to each his own
Reggie Carrington Look up manofsteelanswers. All your answers will be there.
totally agree. the last battle lacked emotion. the realism was lost.
+BrockL191 lol what?
Very, very underrated movie!
When you compare Man of Steel with BvS , it looks like a much more coherent consistant movie
Agree
I'm astounded that people like BvS more than this. BvS was mediocre. Take away the cool fight scenes and it's a terrible film.
***** It's not but to each their own
+XDarkF3arX the ending of bvs sucker punched me. i didn't think they would do that. bvs was more fun and darker than mos but i give both a 10/10. only movies i saw 2+ times in theatres other than the new star was in the last 19 years.
+XDarkF3arX The reason the fights were shorter in BvS was because people complained that they went in for too long in man of steel.
Wonder Woman v Faora
Epic
People said there is no humor and if you go to 0:11 you can see that in the wall says No Parking and yet there is a truck there and because the truck park there look at what happen to it. Humor does not need to be one liners. Love MoS and BvS.
Correction. The wall says "No Dumping" with a small sign next to it saying essentially the same thing "no dumping allowed." There was no "no parking" sign or wall.
And no one can be for sure that the truck there was doing any "dumping."
Tbh, I cringed so hard at the majority of jokes in Avengers: AoU
A lot of the Marvel humor is so forced and unfunny to me.
BvS batman and martha joke was funny I rather have this than a forced captain america joke. They make jokes way too much in their films
A lot better than the cringey "Language!: Avengers gag
Superman would DESTROY mcu Thor
Definitely.
DC>marvel
Jean Grey will simply create a Kryptonite concentrate out of a rock with the Phoenix to incapacitate Superman

You've got to give props to the Colonel for having the *massive* balls to go up against a goddamn Kryptonian of all things with just a knife.
It must feel good for Superman to be able to let loose after all these years.
People see this and still don't understand that Superman was absolutely NOT trying in the fight against Batman...
A Ranger would totally pull out a combat knife against a bulletproof super power alien. The dude stared into the face of death and didn't flinch.
Dragon 54321
Powerful analysis buddy slam dunk
Obviously he was stronger than both, on account of being more on the yellow sun and having more experience with his powers.
But ... the military training of both and above all, the brutality of Nam-ek made Superman stand at a disadvantage against the pair.
I say more, although Faora was more skillful, was being a weight, Nam-ek is who secured the victory of the pair.
Now imagine these two with a few months on the yellow Sun, the thing would look black pro Super, even in the 1 to 1.
The best comicbook movie fight scenes are in man of Steel .. 👍👍 .. not even MCU has given us this much power accurate fight scenes .. 👍👍👍
One of my favourites action scenes EVER
2:17 And this is why Batman can never have a chance against Superman.
+Arrownoir Thats very fast, imagine what they will do with flash
+Arrownoir Actually, because he is Batman, he will predict and plan for any situation where Superman would do that and be able to counter him before he even does it.
***** Yeah, that's just complete bullshit. That sort of thing cannot be countered or prepared for unless you're a meta human, which he isn't.
+Arrownoir You're right, he isn't a metahuman. He's the Batman.
***** What he is is a Mary Sue armed with PIS and plot armor.
Man of Steel is still my favorite DCEU movie, Wonder Woman was good, but I liked this better.
Awesome, I still get goosebumps watching this battle, to this day!
Same here I hope the fight scenes are even more epic in Batman v Superman
+Trap Lord
Superman dies...
+Sachin Chacko you are such a bitch
+Private Ebony
Racism (gone wrong) (gun pulled in the hood) 18+
+Honey Badger The moment BvS trailer was released, it was so obvious that Superman was gonna die. No one can defeat the Bat
I've always felt that the action scenes in DC movies have been more intense and connects to audience in a way. It's different from Marvel's usual stereotype comedy.
+Manoj Varughese That's what I miss about phase one Marvel (excluding Avengers); their high-stakes battle scenes had very little to no comedy.
+zhengyingli Cap 2's action scenes had little to no comedy. You got me on the others though.
+sasook Yes, I forgot about Capt 2. That worked really well. Wish there was more of it post-Avengers.
zhengyingli
Agreed, though I thought comedy-fights actually worked well with Ant-man & Guardians. Thor 2, Iron man 3, & Avengers 2 not so much.
2:13- 2:22 My Lord!!! Zack Snyder you god
I can imagine Foara moving through all the Civil War heroes in that combo
One of, if not the BEST superhero fight scene in all of cinema! Love this movie!
Greatest comic book movie action scene yet. Remember seeing this scene for the first time and being absolutely blown away.
I love how they made this movie as realistic as possible while also making the action super intense and overpowering.
I never been a Superman fan but this is such a great movie. I liked the way they told Superman story, the action was amazing and Zod was one the best Villains in comic book movie ever.
I particularly love the scene where faora takes out the soldiers. reminded me of DBZ
This movie had danger for superman which made it interesting, this just shows that he's capable of being killed.
And BvS confirmed it.
do you bleed?
Ummm... that's not new.
Who else is still watching it in 2017?
I love you Zack, Henry, Faora, and every other crew member for making this epic possible....
Lots of love
I don't get why this film got so much hate, it's probably my favorite superhero movie after the Nolan Batman trilogy...
Even after the pilot shot him, Superman still saved him. THAT'S a hero for you, ladies and super-gentlemen.
I always adored this kind/style of cinematography. The quick zoom ins/outs, the speedy camera panning, and the shaky-like camera recording kind of feel.
Same
Man of Steel > All Marvel Movies
Please don't...
Uh...no. It is a good film but not better than AoU, Avengers, Cap 2, GOTG, Iron Man. Ant Man or even Iron Man 3 and Cap 1
In my opinion, Man of Steel is a fantastic film. I think it's better than every Marvel movie apart from Cap 2.
+Raheel Shahid Age of Ultron was absolutely horrendous.
ainsley toledo Um...no. Perhaps in your opinion which I respect. However even critics and audience disagree with you. A 75% Fresh Certified Tomato score and a 86% Audience score.
This is the action I love from the man of steel. I love this scene so much, I hope man of steel 2 will more scenes like this.
Remember people this is a Zack Snyder action directed movie.
Great director
Why would i remember that who cares who made this movie
2:07 this powerful warlord chick vs wonder women
who's gonna win !!!
Faora already knocked Wonder Woman out in the comics so she wins
+TheKimTeam that's how it should be
Well if you're talking about what I think you're talking about, They had help. Superman embarrassed Apollo(god the sun),So he beamed Zod & Faora down some Solar energy in the middle of a fight with Superman & Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman kicked her ass in the comics!
polyprinz Wasn't exactly a fair fight.
All the people who hated this movie... remember Superman is kinda of a noob with the whole superhero thing, cause it's his first time, ya know
I still don't understand what was bad in the movie? Or maybe there are way too much expectations from from DC & specially for movies Batman & Superman.
Maybe DC movies are expected by audiences to be just as Marvel Studio`s movies. Superman, Batman and most of Dc heroes have been depicted as campy for years, specially on TV (not so in comics).
Rami Escalante Yeah that's exactly why. No one has ever given any solid reasons to why they think something's wrong with this movie.
The fighting. The destruction. The useless military.
Its so beautiful. *a tears rolls down my face*
You know what I noticed? Man of steel got pretty mixed reviews when it first came out. But it's been getting more and more praise as time has gone on. I feel the same will happen with BvS (the ultimate edition at least). Heck, I've already seen that start to happen.
Man of steel: 8.5/10
BvS(ultimate edition): 9.5/10
So stoked for suicide squad, Wonder Woman, and justice league.

we are best best friends now
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "SUPERMAN FINDS THE SCOUTSHIP ON EARTH AND CONVENIENTLY, IT HAS HIS SUIT"
Clearly you missed the part where he used his command key on the ship. which allowed him to create his own clothes with his family crest.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY DID PA KENT SAY IT WAS OKAY TO LET THE CHILDREN ON THE BUS DIE?!?!?"
He never said that. he said "Maybe"
what he was trying to tell Clark was that somtimes, because of his abilities, he would have to make some tough decisions.
he also wanted to make sure the world didn't find out about him Until He Was Ready.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY THE F**K DID CLARK DESTROY THAT GUY'S TRUCK? THAT ISN'T FITTING FOR HIS CHARACTER."
There's a reason this movie was called "Man of Steel" and not "Superman". in this movie, he's Not Superman Yet. this was his origin. him growing up and BECOMING Superman. Clark has made mistakes. he's not perfect. I'm sure we've all done stupid things when we were younger.
imagine ow dumber they would be if you had super powers.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHAT THE F**K IS WITH ALL THE RELIGIOUS UNDERTONES?"
You must have never seen anything with Superman before. Super has ALWAYS had Religious themes. some settle, some not so settle.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "PA KENT'S DEATH WAS F**KING STUPID. SUPERMAN COULD'VE SAVED HIM!"
Superman Possibly, but CLARK, NO. Pa Kent knew he was gonna die, and he died doing what he thought was right.
He was protecting his son. in that scene, Pa Kent locked eyes with his son and told him NOT to save him. h
he knew that in that moment if he looked away, Clark would've flew over there and Change his life forever.
Clark did Nothing, obeying his father's wish and it haunted him for the rest of his life.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY THE F**K DIDN'T SUPERMAN USE HIS BREATH, SUPER SPEED,HEAT VISINO, ECT DURING VARIOUS PARTS OF THE FILM?!"
this is a problem with the character that has this much history. the audience knows what he can do, but the character in the movie doesn't.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "THE FIGHT IS TOO F**KING GRATUITOUS"
so two Titans get into a fight in the middle of a city and destroy most of it's surroundings with no regard for what's around them.
Oh wait I'm sorry. I was just describing "Pacific Rim". I don't think that dragging a boat down the middle of a street and smashing monsters into buildings is showing mush concern for the people around them.
(I'm not saying Pacific Rim is bad, I'm just pointing out the double standards)
You can't say the destruction in "Pacific rim" is Awesome, but it was Gratuitous in "Man of Steel"
it's one thing if you just don't like the movie, IT'S ANOTHER IF YOU'RE BEING A HYPOCRITE.
in "Justice League Unlimited", Superman launches darkside through buildings and destroys parts of the city.
and No One complained about that.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY THE F**K DIDN'T SUPERMAN SAVE ANYONE?!"
Actually He DID. (When He Could) however most of the time he was also trying Not to get himself Killed! again he's New to these powers.
for 30 Years he's been the strongest being on the planet, but now along comes three people who match his strength, and one of them is a battle hard military commander.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "SUPERMAN COULD'VE JUST BROUGHT THE BATTLE SOMEWHERE ELSE"
Zod made it clear that was never gonna happen!
Faora even says that their intention is to Kill ever human on earth!
in "the Avengers", New York was being Destroyed, why couldn't they take the fight elsewhere?
BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T! same thing here.
and the big one, Superman Killing Zod.
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "SUPERMAN NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, NEVER EVER KILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Except when he DOES. in Superman #1, he throws a guy off a cliff. in Superman #2, he destroys a facility and Kills everyone inside!
in the same issue, Superman lets a terrorist choke to death on poison gas. HE EVEN TAUNTS THE GUY AS HE'S DYING!
but that was the OLD superman, let's move ahead a bit:
in Action Comics 5 83, he MURDERS MR. mxyzptlk
in Superman 75, He KILLS Doomsday.
in Superman 82, he kills Hank Henshaw
in Justice League 22, he KILLS DR Light by Melting his head!
he even killed the Joker.
he's even killed in various versions of the Superman TV Shows.
for example in the last episode of Season 7 of "Smallville"he Kills Brainiac.
ZOD. WOULD NOT. STOP.
when Superman was holding him and Zod was using his heat rays,
Christopher Reeve Fanboys: "WHY DIDN'T HE JUST COVER THEM UP WITH HIS HANDS?!"
because Zod was as strong as him and that only serve to burn his hand and loosen his grip.
I like turtles 😃 😃
Good points.
Thank You.
Absolutely rekt the haters. Well done!
the gas station itself didn't blow up. the front of it's gas area did. thus the explosion was In Front of the building
I love that save at 1:42, along with the fantastic music. It is the most (classic) superman like moment in the film for me
The more I watch this sequence the more I get convinced that Zack Synder is a genius when it comes to filming action scenes.
BEST MUSIC
best fight
best actors
thanks zack
looks like the Lions club and the Kiwanas are going to have to organize one hell of a fund raiser this year to fix main street.
+Heretic lololol
My favorite movie of all time. Still no other like it.
Most fucking badass superhero battle ever!!!!
Correct.
Probably the best super hero fight scene ever, together with the Batman warehouse fight in BvS. Holy Snyder.
That fight was epic!!! The True potential & capacity of a stunt between kryptonians finally shown in all it's glory.... And in between superman tries to save people... People just hating for no reason at all... The best comic book movie ever... Waiting to see BvS.... Excited!!!!!
After seeing Man of Steel I was certain a good Dragon Ball movie could be possible.
If only the movie rights went to Disney or WB somehow.
not Disney they will make dragon ball movie look like a joke.... zack Snyder and warner bros are perfect
zayan syed I don't think a Zack Snyder would get the humour of DB.
+Kaiser joss whedon lol
after not seeing this film in ages you realise how good it really is
I feel like this is the most faithful live-action adaption of DBZ that we're ever going to get.
2:17 for some reason I can watch this scene again and again and it still looks awesome
This movie was excellent I honestly don't see what the hate is for it it did a good job with his origins had good fight scenes and had great villains
Devin Corbett superman just isn't a good character his character pretty much has plot armor I mean zod is a warrior but he gets beat by a boy raised in a farm in addition superman always had powers that made no fucking sense like his flight.
robert rainford good answer
robert rainford Superman has been more exposed to a yellow sin than Zod was Clark entire life was under a yellow sun.
robert rainford superman has been exposed to the yellow sun longer so it was a battle of raw power vs skill. raw power being superman and skill being zodd.
Critics just love to hate good movies
Now that's a fight!
that girl bad tho
I havent seen nothing like thiss yet
