GTA Online Minor Map Changes Comparison

- When GTA Online launched back in 2013, It used the exact same map as Story Mode minus a few props here and there. Over the years however, Online has received some minor changes to the map with each new update.
This was recorded on the Xbox One version of the game so there are no mods changing or enhancing the map. It's all base game.

I want to thank everyone for the support on the video, I really appreciate it so thank you once again. I also and want to answer some of the most asked questions I've been seeing in the comments.
First thing, the final clip in the video is actually a Missile Silo near the top of MT Chilliad that was added with the Doomsday Heist update, It plays a part in the Finale of Act 3.
As for the Casino not really being a "minor" change, this was something I originally wasn't going to include but decided last min that I would and I know there are some stuff I probably missed like the bunkers and some of the sign changes. This was something I honestly completely forgot about and I'll probably add them in a part 2 of a video like this very soon.

IndigoSoul you’re not really gonna remember that area tho as no one went there or bothered going to it, it was a stale location, I forgot what it was like going past that way without seeing the diamond casino too
I went there all the time for car shows,bike meets and demolition derbies. I guess I forgot what it really looks like.
I really dont like how they never ended up finishing that construction tower both for campaign and multiplayer. Would of bin cool as a property!

~JG~ Rockstar should never of made the Doomsday Heists, we’ve got flying vehicles and orbital cannons at our expense. At least when you were selling cargo in the past, it would take a griefer a lot longer to try and catch up to you..

~JG~ I actually think RDRO is where the griefing’s at. A lot of people have been passive in GTA when i’ve been playing recently, maybe because the game’s slowly dying out. The griefing rises with every new update when the old players return..

I've almost forgotten what the old casino even looked like, even though I've been staring at it for 6 years
It's because no one really went to it. I don't remember that old casino being there because that small section of the map was never needed for Anthony and didn't attract players towards it. The only thing I went over there for was to get a blimp or drive in that horse racing track.

I was doing the Casino heist the other day and stumbled on a room where the old Casino sign was stored, along with a load of old pictures of how the Casino used to look

does the multiplayer not play before the single player story?
DaBrox used to, that was the cannon pre-gunrunning. Somewhere in that (during a setup for the bunker I believe, it’s been a while) agent 14 mentions that it’s 2017, setting it matched with our time (at the time of gunrunning’s launch) and I believe several other references since then have kept the timeline on track with ours.
@@Casket I would say import export made it set after the story since the ramp buggy mission has the players assist a hiest crew escape from the Union Depository even tho in the story it has never been hit before.

FireStrike [Games and more] what the arcades? Not really. They’re a cool side property to the main event of the update. Frankly was surprised how much they put into the arcade quite honestly.
You buy arcades as a front business to what's really going on in the back in the back is the planning board to steal money from the casino

@@FSXflyermaster I know, though considering how much they made with the single-player you'd think they would learn that people want content for both and are willing to buy reasonably priced DLC for single player. Clearly, they only care about making as much money as possible, so they make the single-player amazing to draw people in but only consistently update Online to get players to stay in that mode which has the microtransactions.

Theres this house near valentine and near the start of the game the only have foundation down and they try put up a wall but it fall and the kore missions the more its built and when you become John the house is finished one of the brothers in married and lives there the other moved away it's really cool

Rockstar just abandoned Single Player pretty much as soon a Online came out same with RDR2.
In gta 5 u barely got anywhere to go other than the strip club and ur safe house for some reason u cant go into the tequila alltough the interior is made and u go there in some mission just look how many interiors rdr2 has
The bunker in the Land Act Reservoir is probably the most objectionable one. Used to be fun to test 4x4s up there.

When Gta came out. online take place Before story mode. But now and days it take Place after Story Mode. Just pay attention to the cutscenes or when the characters are talkin from story mode.

I have hoped all along they would develop the construction areas evolving the map, and even making new ones but they did not.
Bet you the one Sky Scraper being built in LS is gonna be part of a DLC in the future.

J. C. Almost all the kids who play GTA are retarded emos with no friends who have retarded quotes in there bios and have unoriginal names that always include *II* in there names for some apparent reason and they like the color black A LOT
they also opened 3 shops in chumash, the place where you deliver the chinese after the shootout in the uncle duggan’s house (or where you kill Wei Cheng..) They added a tattoo parlor, ammunation, and suburban. Looks very nice - it was there since the casino update (or the snow)

NailStrafer they were there before but it wasn’t a arcade it was just a shop I’m pretty sure so rockstar just got random buildings and made it useful for the update

There needs to be more cells and buildings we can enter. The world feels so lifeless. The NPC’s seem so basic compared to the story mode. Full overhaul!

Yes, they did a lot of changes to match GTAOL function, but the construction site is still building something after 6 years

I still miss the old original Casino when it comes to GTA Online nowadays, given I feel like it deserved more and could've had so much potential too, like even if they had opened the Casino in Singleplayer in it's original state, and given us the fancy new one in GTA Online, but then again they would've had to practically design a different interior for the original Casino, that would still be fancy in it's own right, but now as fancy pants as the Diamond Casino & Resort one anyway! :P

I'm curious to know what impact these changes have on user made missions. Say if you had a race track that ran around the casino but now clips the new casino model, would the track be unplayable?

Well.. Officialy, the Story in Online mode (right now with the casino heist update) playes years AFTER the Original Story . So ofc the online map looks different..

TDLR: old casino is knocked down, diamond is built, the diamond is knocked down old casino is rebuilt identically to before
Just an observation: since gta 5 story takes part a few weeks before gta online (since characters who die during the story appear during online) the old casino was knocked down in gta online and replaced by the diamond with some old parts of the building stored in the diamond. Then the diamond is knocked down and the old casino is rebuild just in time for gta5 story to begin
