Liberty City looked really good on the GTA V engine. GTA IV had a reputation of making LC look drab, something Rockstar clearly addressed for Los Santos in GTA V.
It was the whole point of gta 4 to be dark and grey. 1) it's based on nyc so yeah and
2) it's a dark game
It is dirty and drab so It's just realistic.
I think it's a response to the hot coffee scandal, where parents think kids are playing GTA and discovered a certain adult feature. But in 2004 those parents didn't know the ESRB rating system, that GTA series is rated for 'mature only', and that was why Rockstar have been working to make the GTA brand seems more "mature", they started by making GTA IV look drab with a more serious tone and a darker story campaign

Sounds about right... modders don't get paid by devs so it's free product testing for them to watch and when a mod trends they can steal ideas from it in future games yet claim it's all their work

Would require much more than what that mod does. It would require refreshed models, textures and lots of other stuff such as points of interests and more. But it‘s still a cool mod though lol
Except they didnt. Video has multiple cuts and glitches, most things don't even work like they're supposed to. Its like a pretty house that is empty on the inside, and I use the term "pretty" loosely
This is the one nice thing about modders on PC! So glad that this kind of stuff exists, and not only small children who go around griefing entire lobbies

I remember grinding for the estate back in the day. Vice City was my intro to the series and then I left it until five. Back then, it's hard to explain to the young set, but we didn't really know if you could actually "own" the properties and what not back then. Didn't have RUclips and all of that, so, if your friends didn't really play and stuff you just kind of had to imagine and work based on a hunch. So, back then, once you got this mansion...it was like....getting onto the grid like in Tron but in real life. It was amazing.

Fun fact: Many people forget this but the old expansions for gta 1 were set in london 1969 and 61 meaning these 2 were the only games to not pe placed in a parody of a real city.
And not in The US...
I feel like having all the maps in one game and having to maintain businesses in all those cites is the next logical step.

The thumbnail is exactly how I always wished gta 6 would end up being. Absolutely huge maps with all the same businesses and shit we have in gta online but In the new game. Basically get to choose what city you reside in and do your work or can have all your illicit businesses literally in a different city then you live

@@simonhuckle5446 A sized down map consisting of Miami or more of the Florida state is good enough, there’s no need for any more states. GTA games have always been about this since GTA 3
After GTA went to Miami in the '80s and LA, San Fran and Vegas in the '90s, I kind of wish Rockstar had made a GTA game exploring Chicago and Detroit in the '70s. They may be Midwestern cities located nowhere near an ocean, but their proximity to the Great Lakes could have worked with Rockstar's island maps.

I loved the San Andreas map; so much distinct characteristics in different places.
Plus it was a massive map for its time, and a big jump from Vice City.
Best GTA Map every
San Andreas map still feels bigger then GTA Vs map TBH. I know it is technically smaller, but the amount of verity made it feel a lot bigger. You had 3 major destinations to go to, as well as a ton of smaller ones you could discover on the way. In V you fly out from the airport/drive out on the highway, then usually just end up back in Los Santos.
GTA IVs map also felt quite large, but it was because they physics made driving at any significant rate of speed always felt like you were one tiny slip up away from disaster.

Exactly. I still get lost there sometimes while driving (GTA SA map) after a decade and a half of playing in it; with nice surprises here and there still to this day. GTA V map is so easy to figure out; so predictable.
Except in San Andreas there was nothing to do in the countryside and all you could do In LV was go to the casinos and in SF do the import/export vehicles, gta v did quality over quantity while SA did the opposite I’m not saying SA is bad cuz it’s definitely one of my favourite gta’s but it doesn’t feel big at all once you’ve figured out how to get around, doesn’t help that every vehicle goes about 90mph either, also the getting lost argument makes no sense the game has a map lol

This is what everyone wants in GTA, whether it be VI or some other game, GTA World or something. We'd like to be able to build our empires across several cities.
8:00 if I remember correctly, in GTA IV the heart was even beating and maybe glowing a little (since it was much darker in there than in this mod)
...and I really miss Las Venturas and especially San Fierro from the HD San Andreas state.
I didn't know there were mods out there to do this. But I'm hoping when GTA VI comes out, that GTA Online gets updated by adding the GTA VI map to the existing GTA V map in a similar fashion to this.
Then from there, just keep adding through GTA 7, 8, 9 and so on. By the time GTA 10 comes out, our children/grandchildren will be playing in the GTAO Archipelago

Why does everyone think gta online is gonna be updated to the latest engine with the new map. Its not stop bc reaming gtavi will have its own online mode. Gta online will not be having anything gtavi has including maps and gameplay and EVERYTHING else.

@@missjayspeechley9213 It's the way things go. They aren't going to put the map of their new game into their old game. There are also technical limitations to consider. Even if GTA VI is in the same engine, it's going to have features not available in GTA V.
GTA VI is a completely new experience. I suspect that there will be some kind of incentive for people who make the switch, like a starting bonus for GTA VI Online if you played GTA V Online but they will be completely separate games.

Having all of the cities from the previous games be in one map for the next GTA game would be the ultimate experience (all updated in graphics). But let's be real here, with the current state of the entertainment industry, we'll all be flocking back to GTA5.

GTA 5 mods can only do so much of what others imagine GTA 6 to look like.

Even if we only got LS,LC, and VC and their rural areas I'd be happy with that. If it can't be just one whole map you can seamlessly go to all cities at least it can be instanced.
Yeah, though they could go down the route of a base map and then add the areas as they're ready with paid dlc to ease people into GTA 6's full potential.
I'd say the above only rings true if they're going to rush it out though.

One thing that would be cool is if they got Ray Liotta before he passed, they could put an older Tommy Vercetti as either a main character or maybe side character for stranger missions into GTA VI. Would be a great nostalgia trip to a lot of people, and also a good way to honor his character and memory, if they did it right.
Unfortunately I think ray had beef with rockstar after doing vice city. Not sure if they ever squashed it before he passed, but that would be dope

My computer blows up at the thought if this, but imagine the old cars were made to spawn in the correct locations. Having each car assigned to a different spawn is possible, for example you don’t see sports cars spawning in the desert naturally.
This looks like it would be so much fun to explore.
As the CEO, they should allow you to advertise the sourcing jobs to the NPCs, pay is according to how fast they can source merchandise, but the cheaper you hire them, you run the risk of them taking the money and not completing the job.
Yeah, like how you could pick people for the heists, they could let you staff up but you have to choose wisely or your staff could rip off with your stuff or sell to a rival so you lose product AND money
Frankly at this point I'd give a lot for a MASSIVE map full of fun details yet still quite realistic (think GTA III era type realism, so nothing wacky but room for fantasy) while probably stepping down a bit graphics-wise. Bring the excitement back to GTA!
You mean keep the graphics the same? GTA 5 is a 10 year old game. They don't need to step the graphics down from that.

at least in my opinion especially considering the topic of bringing those maps optimized of course for and into GTA Online with extra properties and vehicles and characters and stories and jobs heists missions and everything else in between it's a topic I'm adamant about...

That's why I keep ranting about this and to R* themselves and to my friends and crewmates...we don't really need a GTA 6 or 7...we just need a better GTAO with the classic maps expansions integrated smoothly, and why not new maps as they make it... I'd pay real money for a DLC with maps expansions and integration with what we have now than for a GTA 6 or 7 that would be outrageously expensive also...

Another couple of fun facts about the Statue of Happiness is that her face is modeled after Hillary Clinton. And she's holding a cup of coffee in reference to the scandal around the "Hot Coffee" mod for GTA San Andreas that let you play out a scrapped sex minigame that Rockstar left in the game files. Back in 2005, Senator Clinton called on the Federal Trade Commission to launch an inquiry into the "Hot Coffee" mod to determine who was responsible for it, since the game was rated M, and was able to be sold to minors despite containing code with a pornographic minigame that could easily be accessed by following some online instructions.
Yes, in gta 6 there should be multiple cities and you should be able to teleport using the airport if there are multiple islands without any bridges. It would be fun to see the old maps with new graphics!
TGG you do realize that Los santos alone along with Blaine county is an island. It’s not part of the mainland and it was referenced multiple times in the story as an “island”. The map of gta 5 is also completely surrounded by water and doesn’t connect to any other land as well

Well yes every gta game was like that as far as I can remember each games map is completely surrounded by water and is basically just a big island, or in cases like GTA VC or SA multiple island that have connections to each other.
IV map definitely has more detail and effort put into it, it's just more dense. It is a lot more cinematic than V is and I think that's what we miss. Has that movie feel. James Bond driving and camera angles as well. That era was something special. Los Santos in V feels dead compared to Liberty City in IV.

GTA6 online should have Ocean Plaza four apartments in online
They should’ve made them further apart. Some over seas, and some across land. Different transportation being trains/subways, airplanes, roads (buses, taxis, whatever), cruises, etc…
Imagine having to go from Liberty City to Los Santos for a heist setup and then getting a time limit of 4 minutes and it ends right when you get there

Lol it's taking them more than a decade to do just vice city. Doing all the cities into 1 map would be another 20 years maybe more
People are pushing GTA V to it's limits, I love it.
This is what I hope the future of GTA Online is... expanding the map to incorporate the other cities. So when GTA 6 comes out, Vice City becomes an unlockable portion of the map and you can travel between Los Santos (or future expanded San Andreas) as opposed to having to fire up GTA 5 or GTA 6 to play in those isolated cities.
This should be gta6 map with cayo and other islands and additional maps updates etc
They should do this in GTA 6 it would be the best I would non stop playing tbh it would add more character and more story line and more open world exploration with more options to do than just one boring city

GTA 4’s map is probably the most immersive, something about it is nostalgic
I REALLY hope this is what gta 6 is like, with multiple cities to go between and a big open country
For a possible massive Rockstar crossover, include:
-Saint Denis (a modern version)
-Bullworth
-Carcer City
-Cottonmouth
-A new gang from Firefly Island in Liberty City called "The Firefly Fighters" (an homage to the Coney Island Warriors)

I would love this! It would be amazing to have a giant map with many cities and environments and terrains, especially if they have better npc interactions. I would love to see more realistic crash physics like wreckfest or beamng and they could add prodecurely generated random events like car crashes where you have to be a paramedic for a reward or we could actually be police somehow and pull npcs over and arrest or chase.
That’s how San Andreas was I freaking miss it!!

I'm not sure I like the new style of content, its quite similar to the people who have been clickbaiting singleplayer mods since 2013. Your old style seemed alot more creative and interesting.
He was really limited by his old content and at least he is spreading out a lot more and still making entertaining videos

The truth is, having played in all the cities in the series, it is impossible for me to choose one. I love them all Liberty City from III and IV Los Santos in V and SA with Las Venturas and San Fierro that are incredible and Vice City with that vibe of the 80s that I already want to see again in the VI in modern life...
Roughly 6:10 There is Mirror Pond/Park on the East Side of Los Santos. Ain't nothing over there, but some culdesacs. Decently sized park with a body of water.

Gonna be a long shot and a very very far time away but I really hope GTA 7 will be las Ventura's the Vegas alt of GTA universe. It would be amazing to experience a super sized updated version of Vegas and surrounding desert and such.

For the people saying its disappointing how rockstar didnt do this, remember that these are islands based off real cities and each are given to their respective games, it wouldnt make any sense that the islands suddenly came together. Plus we wouldnt have GTA IV, V and VI respectively as a HD throwback to all 3 trilogy games including Vice and Liberty City Stories.
The empire state building strat used to be exactly what you just did. Position the helicopter just right and pray to God that you don't fall off the building lol
