- I traveled, last Wednesday on 10-26-2022, to Charlotte North Carolina to visit a Road Stage and then skip across town to see the epic 3 stage on Pineville-Matthews Rd. (sponsored by Showbiz Pizza, wait till end of vid!) This stage has the last Baby Munch/Choo Choo in existence, The Building character and several other customizations done by Alex the local stage tech. I had a great time with Alex and Tyler and you will too!

That three stage set up is SO amazing! Its so nice to see people putting effort into keeping these guys around. I would love to see them in person someday. Our local chuck e cheese got rid of our remaining animatronic before I had a chance to see it.

I was born in Charlotte and I worked at the Showbiz Pizza Place on Highway 51 in the early 90's (89, 90, 91) during the "concept unification" right before I left for college in 1991. Showbiz was the absolute chit. It is hard to believe almost a quarter century later this location still has all the animatronics on all three stages. I remember dressing up as Billy Bob and my friend as Chuck E Cheese and we would chase each other around the 150+ arcade games and pinball machines. I remember doing "lock ins" where kids could spend the night, watch the show and play games all night long! I still take my 9 year old to this very CEC location to this day. They took out the sports room and the beverage bar. Heck the only thing that is really original from what I can tell are the locations of the bathroom, the tech room and the stage itself. Oh and now it is no smoking! LOL! Yeah you could order pitchers of beers, smoke stogies and watch the rear projection TV in the "sports bar" while your kids ran around with no supervision. The only thing constant is change. Thanks for posting this!

@@markhill-x1z Yes. The concept unification was done right before I left for college in 1991. I worked at Showbiz from 1989-1990 in the Pineville Matthews Road CEC location in SE Charlotte. The Showbiz turned CEC is still open in my city and state. I take my 9 year old daughter there. The only things that remained the same are the stage itself, the bathrooms and the tech workshop in the back. The rest has been Chuckied! The show in this location is probably one of the best condition ones in the USA. It is also the only location with the mini munch in the can on the floor. There are YT videos here that will demonstrate just how wonderful the condition of the show still is in 2023. What a blast!
The building and baby munch are super cool to see working again, when I was a kid the one by me was set up like the street stage you described, it really was good.

This vid gave me so much nostalgia. Former RUclipsr Big Cheese visited these two store frequently. Don’t know what happened to him or why he terminated his channel, but it’s good to see these two NC locations again.
My fav stage of all time is the Huntsville AL location but the last one you showed w/ Munch Jr. and the awesome lighting is a close second.
Side note: I couldn’t hear Alex very well when you were talking with him because the show was going on at that very moment. Perhaps you could have waited until they stopped performing before letting Alex show you around the stage?
I heard it’s because he thought he was too old for CEC.

Oh no, I didn't know Albermarle's location was the one that had the cursed Pasqually 😭 But the Pineville Mathews location is FIRE. I went there before the tech upgraded them all, I need to go back there sometime
I came back and re watched this video it still blows me away at how amazing these guys are! I hope they are still in as good condition or better as they were in this video! I hope you can re visit this location again sometime soon!

It's really sad how the Albemarle Rd Road Stage has been neglected. It used to be in perfect shape. With those flow controls cranked, they just tear themselves apart.

I realized that both of them while you were there they both played witches crew
some locations that work great and are getting 2.0... maybe instead of destroying the working ones, they should be put to good use and be transferred to locations like Albemarle (the one with the road stage) who's animatronics aren't working too good.

This stage is so much cooler than the one my store had. I loved my stage but this one is dope
I had no idea there were still locations with animatronics. I really hope they keep the Pineville location because I've heard so much care has been put into that one to keep it alive. I also think one former ShowBiz location that underwent Concept Unification should be kept as a nod to its history.

Well thoughs that have a chance might as well still enjoy that cu three stage retro Rock-afire Explosion/Munch's Make Believe Band wanna be style look show. All those creative engineering animatronics look fabulous. I'd love a pic of retroed Fatz/cu Mr Munch look.
I got interested in chuck e cheese by its history and how I used to go I wish the nearest one still had the animatronics and also made me interested in robotics I able to drive and these two locations are 1 hour drive to get there I plan to vist hopefully they still go this there it so cool to see thing from the past

@@3105ace CEC has a problem with old CEC before 2020 CEC showtapes we’re not allowed the original CEC showtape archive account got banned it had all shows with puppets but was removed sometime in 2019 I remember I couldn’t find the account

VERY IMPORTANT: when you remodel to 2.0, you can add the dance floor if you want but at least please dont remove the animatronics and the stage like they did in one of the 2 stage because this is the 3 stage that works in the most perfect condition. It is the only 3 stage that has the moon and building animatronic and a replica of mumch jr. and please dont remove the RARE art on the wall. Listen to us please. WE WANT THE 3 STAGE ON PINEVILLE NORTH CAROLINA FOR MORE TIME EVEN ON 2.0. MOST OF US WANT THE ANIMATRONICS TO STAY!

That 3 stage must’ve in Pineville. I believe the only left in Charlotte unless that’s the one on the east side on Abermarle Rd. I wish they factored in programming the curtains. That’s the wow factor for me lol. If only I knew how to repair/fabricate parts and sew, I’d make sure they never leave and move ultra fluid like
