Brian McLaren is an enlightened soul; surely one of God's present day prophets. After decades of searching, frustration, doubt, depression, etc. I have finally found answers to my questions.
Jesus Christ would certainly call out the vast majority of so called 'christian' leaders of today, just as he did 2k years ago. Jesus' commandments of love are being broken everywhere around us. There is vastly too much emphasis on hate, division, and violence; far less emphasis on love, unity, and forgiveness. May God continue to enlighten His Children; "[His] kingdom come and will be done on earth... as it is in heaven." My prayer for the modern-day Pharisee, literalist, radical right, close-minded, science rejecting, evangelical is that their eyes and ears would be opened (hardened hearts keep eyes closed and ears covered). Truth has a way of closing the mind and heart. May we all continue to learn; especially how to obey Jesus Christ's commands to love. May we reach across the aisles to embrace those who disagree with our point of view. May we always be humble: always considering our limited understanding of Scriptural truths; truths yet undiscovered; and our still immature, infant stature as 'children' of The Almighty.
