It is clear to me that too many people that follow Brian's teachings read more of what he says and less of what the Bible says. You cannot remove God from Jesus (John 10:30 - I and my Father are one) and what is commanded by GOD is the same as what Jesus said or if Jesus was the one speaking (John 5:19 - 19 - So Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, unless He sees the Father doing it. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does.) God warns humanity against the sexual sins ( Leviticus 18:1-30) and doctrines based on emotional conclusions, not fact (1 Timothy 4:1 King James Version (KJV) 4 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;)
I worry that his loves are disordered as Augustine wrote about. Everything must flow from God's love or we are in danger of making social issues into idols that will destroy us. Yet, I appreciate Brian's observation that an outward appearance or correct doctrine is not what Jesus bought for us. You can't hate your brother and love God.
ANYTIME I hear. or read, the word "LEADER" in a Christian context, I wonder if the speaker or writer or, God forbid, LEADER in a Christian context, I wonder if he or she is am reading the same Gospel that I am...
It's all about Jesus. We build a relationship with Jesus and everything else will fall into place. We have the victory. If we are not taught that it looks like this.
Jesus was also accused of being a heretic. Try to be open to a new way of thinking. That's what Jesus encouraged. Any support of all people as valued is a lesson of Jesus. Can we remember that? And live it?
@@greglogan7706 that depends on if you proclaim to be God to yourself or if you use the bible to criticize the bible. If the later, then you proclaim a value to which sets a standard and also claim the validity of the bible. Unfortunately studying the bible is more difficult now and people have become lazy. Its your responsibility to seek the truth through hermeneutic consistency. If you don't, then you have yourself to blame on judgment day for being your own God.
Brian does have some good things to say but I am afraid that his own bad experience as a fundamentalist when he was young his colored his judgment. Why not proclaim a whole-hearted 'yes' to Christian living (love) and to sound biblical doctrine (belief)? Why does he have to pit them against each other. The primal sin of Christian liberalism is to elevate love above truth and then to divide the world between oppressors and the oppressed. Brian helps people see themselves as victims rather than seeing the victory they have in Christ. And then he uses that to justify bashing Christians who actually care about what the Bible says on all sorts of important topics. He needs prayer but he is a brother.

To "FtFirst" It's disturbing how judgmental you can be when accusing someone else of being judgmental.

I hear and see Jesus in this man.
Steve w this man wouldn't know Jesus if He hit him with a switch! Im shocked that people follow him and his cronies.
It would be better for you to put away your emotional FEELINGS and test what he says by the Holy Bible, as Christians have been commanded.
@@talbotriverband Jesus would have exposed and condemned the American evangelo- fascists that currently are ruining the lives of the American people.
@@littlemirage A bit hard to do when everybody comes up with what they made by The Bible and it is all different

So good!
This man is the reason God said not to add to or take away from the Bible.
I don’t care to see so many apostates!
