Yea i use to play this game like four years ago and i tried finding it i cant but it came in my recomendeds and i was like this must be the game that i use to play
I remember when the codes were shown on tv every day, and me and my cousin were playing this and started guessing random generic words and actually got some of them, like courage, valor, and justice.
Same for me. I had to endure many hits. But once I reached Aku, it was mostly smooth sailing. His attacks you just need to jump at the right moment to evade.
I actually never knew the secret codes since I never watched Samurai Jack as a kid, but I actually did manage to make it to the Aku boss fight without them. The only thing I remember is how hard it was getting past the Ultra Assassins, but one thing's for sure, I don't remember the graphics being so smooth
Well, perhaps because the connection was originally slower. I played it when we had dial up modems. And I managed to beat it all without the codes. I missed the week those codes were announced. Once you reach Aku, the clash is simple. Just stand on the higher ledge and jump at the right moment to evade his attacks.
@@castrofi7062 Yup, I was like "sword game, samurai game" no results. A JoJo game had some voice shouting "Samurai Jack" while in Samurai pose. I decided to see what that song is... Then bam, all these memories flood back.
I only knew about the “courage power up” the others years later I looked up online. Can’t say I’m too impressed with the other ones honestly. The shuriken are mostly enough
This is an example of the codes helping. Take the first boss you can’t outreach with the sword alone and dude does way more damage. Then the charge is guaranteed to hit you cause you can’t avoid it so the sheid is key and for aku as well.
If you watch the beginning, there are 6 optional codes to input. Entering each code gives you an additional weapon which can be activated by using number keys 1-6. The one Jack used to summon a bright light is no. 2 while the shurikens is no.4
In a very small way, yes: when you lose the game, it will say "remember your courage", which is one of the codes. I guess they expect you to try words that are typically associated with samurai, or at least the qualities Samurai Jack displays in the show.
Np, I previously didn't know what they were until the game dropped some hints when I lost. Then, I got all except "compassion" cos I thought it had to be a rather short word since the other 5 codes were like that.
I was like six when i played this!!i didn't knew any codes cus i was a stupid child it was frustrating to play i remembered i smashed my keyboard one time playing......the enter button broke
memories man, good memories

"No son, you have Sekiro at home."
*Sekiro at home*
To be fair a version of Sekiro with a samurai Jack theme would be cool
The comment I didn't know I needed.
@@ingamingpc1634theres a aamurai jack game for ps4.
This is more like a Samurai Jack version of 1985 Super Mario Bros. A lot of games from the 90's & Early - Mid 00's were based off of that.
I remember when the codes were shown on tv every day, and me and my cousin were playing this and started guessing random generic words and actually got some of them, like courage, valor, and justice.
Lol man what. I didn't even know they was on TV. I used be in the computer lab at school just guessing them shits
Should have used the bushido code instead of random words for good
I did the same as a kid lol
I'm amazed my kid self was able to beat this game without any of the codes.
Same for me. I had to endure many hits. But once I reached Aku, it was mostly smooth sailing. His attacks you just need to jump at the right moment to evade.
This brings back memories I thought I’d never remember. Damn.

Jesus time flies! Use to play this game in elementary or early middle school. Now 10 years since I graduated high school and the year 2022.
So it was Compassion and Valor that I missed all those years ago.
Nice to see it now.
My cousins in Canada only ever used courage and valor, as those were the words on the losing and winning screens.

To be perfectly honest the only code I regularly used was the shield. All the others were cool but not really essential.
Shurikens were helpful.
Shield, Shurikens, and Screen nukes *definitely* got me through the game a lot quicker, and funner...
Lol

Man sad to see what happened to cartoon network. This and the code name kids next door games where my shit

i mis cartoon network games and webs where i found other games as well and i passed this without knowing codes
I think they could make first bosses attack pattern better. I mean level 2 enemies are harder than the first boss
Wait this game had CODES!?! I beat the whole game without ever realizing this…
These comments are all fairly new. Did we all collectively remember this game or something?
I'm a bit disappointed by the fact there are only two boss fights in this game.

your telling me i wasted so much time playing that game jack never actually beat aku he just cut his beard?
For some reason as a kid i guessed courage and honor from just mashing random words all day
Did they actually give hints for the codes?
