- Volvo with some engines had different location of the power steering fluid reservoir. Find out where is the cap in your C30, S40, V50 or C70 on a example of Volvo C30 with 2.0D PSA engine.

Holy smokes. You need to get this video promoted more. I’ve spent DAYS trying to work out where my ‘06 S40 power steering reservoir was, and all I got was “right next to the coolant expansion tank” from every source. This was the first place that finally showed where it really is.

I tried to flush the oil with a siphon pump but was almost impossible

Are there two power steering caps? I see one when I pop the hood without taking the headlight out. I tried turning it but it won't open? Like someone glued it shut.
No. Just one. Some early models (2004-2006) can have this cap higher, reachable without removing the headlight.

Curious do you have to USE VOLVO STEERING FLUID..WOULD THAT BE DOT #4 *(?) LET ME KNOW
Each manufacturer recommends its own fluid but I believe you can use different ones as long as the tech specs requirements are met.
Dot #4 is brake fluid I think dude.
Can you tell me where the min/Max level is?

+Mike b In my C30 2.0D you need to remove plastic cover from under the car to reach the gearbox dipstick.

That's in petrol. I had diesel with filter under the hood.
BTW. Isn't there a revision under rear seats to access fuel pump?
