48 was such a great year for Cadillac. The new body styling with the last of the old traditional engine. I love those.
you can crank it with twelve volts,,,did that many many times,,,,use jumper cables and dont leave hooked up except to crank or any longer than needed

Cold War Motors did a full rebuild of a '53 Olsmobile hydraulic windows system. I guess a '53 Cadillac is very similar.
