Another wonderful review of an amazing figure! I still have the original queen in her box and am considering picking this one up to add to my collection. Some people did not care for the blue color and brass high-lights, but I loved it. In the end, its all about personal taste, and in ny humble opinion, Neca is simply magical when it comes to figures and toys.
I just got this on eBay for a decent price. It looks fantastic, like a giant living insect. I prefer the brown color over the blue original. I don't think the queen was actually blue in Aliens. It was the lighting in the ship reflecting off her. When she fell down the shaft before being ejected she looked dark grey or black. I don't know, this color just looks more natural either way.
Just so you people know, NECA went soft with Quality Control on the queen. Mine came with two different left hands and a half snapped tail, prob due to high temperatures in summer which melted the plastic and broke it. Also, the glossy resin she's covered with gets dry real, fast and starts falling.
Just bought mine recently at Target and had a buddy who hooked me up so I was able to get a rerelease of the original Aliens Queen and so happy to have it!
They should have had this as the top half sitting with the big pregnant belly (custom builders, over to you) But yea, this is just the original Queen release repainted. Deffo not worth a second buy.
AVP is a good movie. And of course, MUCH better than the sequel. It would have been better with the R. BTW, I wish we could see the King Alien in the movies in the future. Like how the aliens of Species had the male alien in the sequel. ...not making the King Alien a recurring character, because the Queen is the definitive foe in the Alien movies but still. To show what the King Alien looks like.

Even the one I purchased that I described in my comment, later that day the seller messaged me saying "sorry I already sold it." And I got refunded. So I still don't have one.
Looks amazing… I wish it was more shiny bluish black, though… instead of this silly brown, then it would be much more realistic like the movie… I will be repainting mine to a shiny black to make it more movie accurate

Recently, I was fortunate enough to find someone selling a case fresh one, for a great price and grabbed it! I still don't really have the space, but I'm glad I finally own her!

I've never liked the idea of having a clear stand. Yes it's "clear" but not clear enough.. i've always thought they take away from the figure, they're too noticeable.. i'd much rather get some fishing line and do something that way..

I really like looking at other figures and trying to find matching molds, for example the Queen uses the same tail mold as the Snake alien which really surprised me when I found that out
I hope you do a review of NECA's new 1/4 Alien Big Chap that is currently shipping out. The big difference appears to be the head dome is clearer and shows more detail inside the head.

I had the blue version from this i really liked it i had it in my studio for afew years hardly played with then i picked it up and the back spikes broke the from tiny arm broke at the joint. i like aliens but what ever neca uses fo plastic is really bad silmaliar thing have happened with other neca figures i got in the past. i never have any issues like that with Hasbro, Todd mcfarlens, tarkara, mmc etc
I had the last release and had to return it. After a few weeks the back legs started to do the splits and wouldn't stand upright, so this is a easy pass.
I usually have good things to say about NECA figurines but this one is just laziness on their part. The only part of the queen we got in Resurrection was at the climax when the ovipositor mutated into the womb, its main arms had been "clipped" and yada yada yada! I'll look forward to NECA releasing an Ultimate version of the resurrection queen in its screen accurate form. Plus... The tendons on each side of its mouth were not present in the film so NECA should consider modifying. 🤔🤨
Where do you recommend purchasing her for the best quality? I've been shafted more than once with the monsterarts line, so I'm hoping Neca doesn't do the same with the queen here.
Its just a repaint of the original Aliens figure. I have the Aliens Queen and though I'm not sure the queens in both movies looked the same, to just repaint an earlier model isn't exactly 'delux' to me. You could do that yourself.
The head used for the Resurrection Queen was the exact same one used for the Aliens Queen, and the molds for the arms, legs and tail were recovered. The lower body should look very different since the Resurrection Queen's lower body was extremely bloated due to her giving live birth instead of laying eggs.

I've still got my Aliens Queen on display. I've been thinking about doing a video on her myself because I made a way to swap out the inner jaws very quickly and easily. I loathe those L shaped pegs, what idiot came up with that bs am I right⸮ Simply cut off the L shaped pegs cleanly. You'll probably need to file it a bit so it's neat and flush. Then superglue a 5mm x 1mm button neodymium magnet to the end of the jaws. Then glue another magnet to the back of the throat (making sure the poles are opposite beforehand of course). Then she's good to go. You might have to frig around with it until it appears to line up to your satisfaction. The magnets make swapping them out easy as piss. I guess I don't need to do a video now, I just explained everything lol. I'm not a fan of the Resurrection Queen. I don't like the brown. She looks like she been wading through raw sewerage. The movie was ok but Aliens was and still is one of my all time favorite sequels. I'll never forget when it first premiered on tv, it was awesome. I recorded it on VHS and watched it again so many times the video heads could no longer read the tape.

The neca aliens queen is too blue, the genocide queen is red, this ressurection queen has the perfect look.

The whole head is supposed to be able to rotate down as well but the swivel hinge is usually so stiff that it might as well be fused.
