Intro is 1/4 of the video
Yup just gotta tea bag your car over and over lol
I just pour Luke warm water on my windows have done for 20years an never cracked a window
Adam Davis me too.
Decades also.
Hot tap water,I always pour it onto the roof first till it’s initially melted.
Saves so much time.
Mini Metro.
Ford Fiesta
Renault Clio
Vauxhall
Honda Civic V-tec
Ford Focus (Although this has a heated windshield)
To name a few.
Never had a crack not even hairline.👍🏻
When I got my first car my dad would never let me buy a de icer- or scrape it off though all my mates were. He would make me pour like warm water and I’d moan about it lol. Years later, when I see my neighbours scraping it off and me with my Luke warm water (it don’t take long) and the first one whose in the car ready to leave lol
For 30 years i have had cars and my father has had cars for over 60 years and in that time we have used hot water on our cars windscreens and never had a car window crack cars from lada riva's to brand new fords i even put hot water on a vw polo front windscreen that had a v shaped piece of glass that you could press it in and still did not crack.
Said no man ever ...
What is luke warm?
Make sure that the water is NOT boiling hot.
Cold water from the tap is warmer than ice.
Just pour it over and it will melt without stressing the glass.
I do this, bottle of cold water, pour all over car windows, job done :)
@@fluvirus people can be so dumb!
Fcking winds me up these vids ! Luke warm water poured all over the glass ! Boosh .. Done it for 20+hrs never cracked a window
Or just take a piss on the windows, makes the scraping a breeze.
@@Moddafukcer haha
I love in the country side no one near
So I have my morning piss nice and warm job sorted two birds one stone
😂
Look i have had cars for 30 years and my father has had cars for over 60 years and in that time we have used hot water on our cars windscreens and never had a car window crack cars from lada riva's to brand new fords i even put hot water on a vw polo front windscreen that had a v shaped piece of glass that you could press it in and still did not crack.
That's not ice, that's frost...
Use a freezer bag, the one with a zip is best. Does not need to be boiling, as long as it can be held without sc alding your hand.
That intro is textbook overkill
I’ve poured hot TAP water onto my roof first and down the windows for YEARS.
Never cracked the glass.
Luckily my Focus has a heated windshield so it slides off without treatment.
Focus .....HA HA
Ha. I've used an old fashion hot water bottle for years. If it's really cold I can put it in my lap for the drive.
There's loads of videos proving boiling water won't crack a frozen screen. But people still say it.
You could break your windshield doing that. Buy a cover for your windshield. PLEASE DON"T do this.
The engine and oil is still cold so go out early and warm it up proper....your car will thank you in the long run! Plus the heat will be hot out of the vents by the time you get in...just saying lol
Why go through the complication?
Provided it's no colder than say -2C, just fill a kettle with warm water, pour it in the windscreen, check your wipers are free, then put them on immediately to remove the water and prevent re-freezing.
Done.
It doesn't really work at colder temperature as it re-freezes too quickly and you have to do it several times, at which point it's easier to just scrape.
The bag method surely wont work, as what you've melted will just re-freeze. You can't do it quick enough to remove the water with the wipers.
Oh and thermal cracking is only a concern if you have an already damaged windscreen.
Ive been doing this for years and it works every time ,
I think the glass cracking from hot water mostly does damage, if you windscreen has a slight crack already whereupon the water enters the crack and freeze, causing expansion.
I just get onto the bonnet and start pi55ing into the windscreen.
Yes it works with a very thin "ice" but if it's 2-3 mm thick then the water bag is not enough. It loses it's energy faster then you unfreeze even 1 window.
Hello do you mind if I use parts from this video?
What ever you do, don't ever try and tea bag your windshield if you don't have a hot bag of water.
1:25 Hot Water 💧 #LessWork
45 seconds of intro? Might want to condense that a bit.
Every winter in Boston I fill up old spray bottles with water and Rubbing Alcohol , takes ice right off and never have to worry about crack or shatter on glass - 2 parts alcohol 1 parts water .
Alcohol is not good for rubber or plastic parts on car.
Running alchol is not sold in Ireland ☹️
@@margaretf667 It's also known as isopropyl alcohol, you can buy it online easily.
Sounds costly
But how it works when cold is out!?
Top tip: cover bag with towal.
Was gonna ask why trade price cars has a RUclips channel then I search ice melting bag challenge so mabey im the weird one
What's with the music 🤦♂️
The intro was half the video
Turn car on .. sprinkling of de icer and luke warm water over windows..no probs
Like in a spray bottle? What ratio?
@@kimalonzo3363 nah..car on..de icer and luke warm kettle..had no problems in 20 years.
@@welshie1979 gotcha! I live in Ohio and I have to park outside on the street. Do you live in a very cold climate?
Not really..uk..so prob not ur level. As long as its not too cold. Around freezing etc fine.
Anyone ever used a hot water bottle for clearing a frozen screen 🤷♂️
This is what I was thinking. I got some gnarly ice rn
Always wake up ten minutes earlier in winter so you have ten extra minutes to scrape ice off your car. Want to keep your glass? Do it the old fashion way. SCRAPE IT want to pay $200 or more? Pour boiling hot water on it.
Maybe something to do with hot and cold people. No conspiracy after all. Novel idea.
U should put hot water on the car so that it can melt my father use to do the. Same
I am sorry that your father melted. God bless you and your family.
Can confirm badass music started playing out of nowhere wen i approached my car with a warm bag of water .
Decent little trick for thin ice,
best to just get an auto-starter that you can turn on a few minutes before going to the car.
...But, only if the car is programable to turn on the defroster automatically, unfortunately mine does not.
Just leave the defroster on when you get out.
This is honestly the best method if your car still uses a physical key to open the lock and the lock has somehow frozen shut.
Take warm bag, put it against the lock and let it defrost.
Well it's not cracked this one... Then some genuine laughter. Hahaha. Good job!!
The action starts at 01:10, just pissing about like a twat before that.
I even use cold water,it’s warmer than ice so it melts the ice
That window barely has ice on it
Saw this on tiktok, works like a charm!!
Just turn your dfrost on for a few minutes before. Back window defrost fast no need for the bag in the back but it will work great for the front window.
And what about the car doors?
Does it work if the ice is thicker?
Awesome 💐😀👍
Silly man 🤭🤭
can it not crack the window??
Maybe a bit of effort with the scraper would have helped......
🤦🏻
By the time I got the bag full of hot water my windows were defrosted 😩
Using this method you are risking to crack the windscreen, but you could use see water or salted water.
It will crack the window.......where I live it gets down to minus 30!
Cars run in minus 30?
Great way to crack your windshield
Always used half boiled water direct from the Kettle. Never cracked a windscreen yet for over 20 years. Has anybody ever cracked a windscreen with boiling water?
I use hot water from the tap never had any problems.
Run 68 same i just poured hot tap water and it was easier to take off
Just keep your car in the garage!
there are millions of car owners that don't have a garage.
Yah tell that to about the 80% of people who don't have a garage lol
If you have a car, its probably your 1st or 2nd most valuable asset. You should really protect it from the elements.
@@anthony19721 Yeah I'll just attach a brand new garage to my apartment... which I rent... 😂 Also 95% of the time a car isn't an asset, it's a liability.
@@anthony19721 people go to work and leave there cars in parking lots too you troll
I did hot water abs it works
