What Chssis and why do you prefer? The GL Racing GLD or the DRZ 3 MP? And what bodies are people using? 1/27 MiniZ style, or custom build 1/24 scale bodies?
For a beginner and ease of mini z bodies fitting especially the narrow awd ones the gld will fit those wheels 🛞 and bodies without need for magnets as laid out on standard set up . The drzv3 is a newer design but a much wider set up so it’s harder for a begginer to work out body and wheels and magnetic mounts even for miniz body , probably better off using a 1/24 scale body for that reason . The Drz v3 is better performance out of box buf requires a more experienced builder to install body .
@@GarageMiniRCUK Thx for the detailed answer. I'm looking for performance, but want to fit a 1:28 body in the first instance. Building the Body shouldnt be the problem. I could print some widebody fenders for the narrow miniZ bodies ;) A friend of mine is building a GLD, so it would make sense to drive similar scaled bodies!
I have the skyline Z body which is a narrow and had to tighten the turnbuckles all the way and remove the shims on the upper arms to make it fit but it is doable. Probably not ideal as you lose a lot of adjustability.
I got a question, which 94mm chassis you think is the best one so far? I’m planning to get a better one than Mini Z, but quite confused by a whole bunch of options out there😂
Most of them are really for 98mm and above. Only a few really are catered for the 94 and esp narrow 94mm set up. The gld works well at thi s size i am bout to build and review GUD racing. The drz 2 works at this size the xrx dpa 1 is a struggle as its wide i can make it work with a 94mm supra but its tight . . The ma racing 1/28scale i have yet to obtain.
Great Chassis ! Unfortunately I just ordered the ("old") XRX Dpa chassis (Blue Metall plate, not carbon) without any electronics. Now I have a few questions: What would you prefer, when you must make the choice ? The new Atomic DRZ3 or the XRX (Techstormracing) DPA ? Why your Choice ? And one question especially for my incoming Techstorm/XRX: Does the Mini-Z AMG GT3 Body fit without any problems ? Thanks a lot :) Florian
Here the thing . I prefer dpa 1 to the new one . It’s basic set up that works on 1/10 scale . The only thing I have changed on mine is I printed a direct steering mod . I have 5 of them . The dz3 is a newer cool design but you have to magnetic mount the body . But ,and it’s not a big but ,I prefer simple designs . I have a video of my dpa 1 with merc gt3 body and it fits fine. I wish the team at techstrom had taken my advice and made an official dpa 1 direct steering mod . I paid for a few dpa 2 chassis and have not done a video yet as I’ve not had time . I like the dz3 . I have No doubt it’s a great car . But it doesn’t leave much room for me to mod . Like all chassis it’s a personal driving and mod experience that counts .
I softened front set up as much as possible ..I’ll check the tyres I’ve got on . Front end lower than rear . Check my battery position in video . It was minor tweaks and the car moved nicely .I have got a lot of camber on front .
I got this recently and built it as my first kit. I really enjoyed the build, but man like you said its really tight width for Mini-Z bodies. Are you getting the Drift Art DA3S also?
I just found out that these use smaller receivers. I have a Sanwa MT5 transmitter for my 1/10 RWD cars that only uses the FH5 protocol. Does a Sanwa FH5 protocol compatible micro receivers exist as of today? I would like to use my same transmitter for 1/28 scale drifting if i buy one.
If you think this car is good wait until you get that MA racing chassis put together whole other level. I would also try to get your hands on LS studios should be released this month. both cars make Drift Art look like WL toys Well not quite that bad but you know what I’m saying😂
@@GarageMiniRCUK if you like the zero you are going to love how the MA performs closest thing to a 10 scale drifter I’ve tried yet. I would have to say hands-down this is probably the best min chassis I’ve tested yet. The zero is great Chassis one I have enjoyed quite a bit. but the MA this thing is ridiculous.
My only worry with so many chassis coming out is the parts supply . I’ve struggled to get parts for some of the chassis . I can still get gld /Drz parts no issue . But try getting parts for some of the others and you see what I mean .
I really appreciate the electronics breakdown in the setup section. Thank you!
Thanks for watching

Nice review! what size gear would I need on the motor for this frame with a 3500kv motor

Depends what you want it for , awd or rwd ,drift or race ? Or both ?
@@GarageMiniRCUKOops, sorry for not asking accurate, I wanna get a 94mm rwd drift chassis, but not sure which one to go

Hi garage rc I just want to ask if my kyosho mini z trueno ae86 will fit this chassis? Thank you and more power to your channel
Possibly but dz3 it’s quite a wide set up at front . You might find the wheels that come with it don’t allow clearance at front .

How did you get that sharp of steering? I have this same car I can’t get that sharp

I’m so busy at moment have to build the ma racing , trc meta …. It’s on the list … I wanted to do a da /rear gld gearbox hybrid build first 😂

@@GarageMiniRCUK website shows 2. Is it the rxc42-A3? Your content kicks ass
Just sold last 2 I’ll have another batch in soon . Let me check my reserves .
Thank you for this
Thinking about buying one over the amr 2wd for drifting.
The amr cannot be modded without a 3d printed parts . I tried . The width etc would require lots of mods.
Thx for the Tip
Went all in with the Drz Mp.
Just need to wait for delivery 🎉🎉
Is it harder to play the rwd than those mini z kyosho? Like in tight corners?
Different style of driving
yoo i was wondering if you could help me when i start spining my xrx tail cuts out right ? it seems its something in the rear
Cuts out how ?
@@GarageMiniRCUK not cut out i mean drifts out to the right like maybe the right rear wheel is getting more traction?
Check the wheels nuts not too toght and springs
elegant chassis. 👍
Thanks! 👍
Hi,
Is it possible to use front mount for Mini-z ?
And I even don‘t see side-mounts for Mini-Z Bodys ?
I tried but it doesn’t really line up
@@GarageMiniRCUK I guess you mean the side mounts. But what about the Front ?
Front aswell
Hi, what servo did you use for this please?
A06 cls
Hi, for how much do you sell a rtr XRX DPA?
Where did you buy it from and how long did it take to deliver ?
Miracle mart 2 weeks
If you had to pick only one would you go with the drz3 or the drz2 limited edition?
Drz 3
Hi, is it compatible with agfrc a11cls servo?
Good question , I haven’t tried . I’ll have a look at mine later .

I meant better than v2
That said the zero at 1/24 is a track battle drift dream

why is my servo making noise and not mooving
Un install from chassis . Plug directly into rx bypass gyro and test again . If same problem it’s possibly faulty server .
2WD mini z drift ? or Atomic Drz?
Mini z 2wd cannot drift .
yoo what happen to you!! you quit the hobby?
I’ll be back , been busy with family . Have a stack of cars to build 💪
