The SCX6 is also great for indoors, instead of having to get up and go grab something from the fridge you can just push/pull the entire fridge to you using the car.
My cousin graduated med school recently. We sent him off to his residency with a Losi Mini T brushless RC. I figured he would have plenty of places to run it 3am when nothing is going on!
Got both the losi mini b and mini t, love them they're so reliable and fun to play with anywhere. Would recommend getting step pin tires (for the rear) if you have traction issues.
Mini z’s should come with an addiction warning ⚠️ I’ve bought 3 rtr sets in less than a month and a bunch of add ons and I still can’t get enough of them definitely wanna get into micro crawlers maybe the scx24 cause I was thinking the mini z 4x4 but I hear the scx24 is better and about 70$ cheaper
i mean if you are worried about the price just get some WL Toys K989/K969 or the new pickup truck they have. Great products at an insane price. Definately higher quality than at least half of the models shown here.
Omg... That 200 dollar one is perfect... Probably the best for what I could do to start in the pro rc world.. I loved it.. Thanks for mentioning it even though it wasn't on the list
Does anyone remember the micro rc cars from radio shack? They weren't great except for the monster truck version. THEY WERE AWESOME. If any of these manufacturers would reproduce them they'd be super hot items. They were called zip zaps. The se version had digital proportional control. Totally cool.
No, but they sound awesome. Radio Shack had some cool cars and they probably contributed to r/c more than hobbyists like to admit. I miss the TV ads: ruclips.net/video/edp7tCowre8/видео.html -Brett
I also recommend the turbo racing cars, especially the newer ones like the c75. They are 1:76 scale and pretty fast for their size. Very fun to drive around with
The SCX24 is a great platform. We have two, dead bolt and jeep. Good fun and the cats like to stalk them. Bret great video keep it up. The info you guys put out helps this novice. Thanks!!!
Best thing about my brushed Losi Mini T is, it's the closest to my 1/8 buggy in term of speed (for its size), handling and precision while being and slow enough to be handled by my 2yo daughter after reducing the TH D/R
I bought a mini t on pre black Friday sale, and then a brushless mini t and a mini b lol -- currently have a little track in the next room with two sweet jumps! Much better than 10th scale inside haha
After destroying the inside of my house with a 1/10 Buggy on a 10.5T motor, and being threatened by my family-- I budged and got the Losi mini b. It is a blast to race it inside, the dynamics are nearly the same as a 1/10 and the brushed version is fast enough for the inside of a house without breaking anything in the house or in the car!
I got my Losi Mini T 2.0 for $100 from HH during their pre-Black Friday sale a couple weeks ago, best $100 I ever spent. Put Teton tires on it and now it handles off road like a little beast.
yeah i was very confused to not see one of the clearly most popular small scale cars on here... aside from the scx24 and the mini-z. Its so well made, affordable, insanely popular with a huge parts market... @amain hobbies, care to elaborate your decision to leave out WL Toys? Is it because you don't sell those at your shop?
@@horst6855 Bingo. A-Main's not going to list anything they don't sell. It's also why you don't see anything from HPI on here (and not because HPI went under. They're still around, but they're struggling because a lot of stores don't realize they're still around).
Latrax sst or prerunner indoors is my fav. We put tape on the tires and have drift/jump races. Too fun with Lipo packs, they go forever. Mini t was my first rc, still awesome.
Not sold through A-Main. Also, a bit hit-or-miss. Their cars are cheap clones of LC-Racing kits. You get a LOT of car for your buck but the build quality is inconsistent.
14b will burn a hole in your pocket as it chews up spur gears every 20 minutes. A friend and I bought them and we’ve both experienced this issue constantly. You’ll work on it more than you drive it. You’ve been warned!
First I've heard of this issue. Check your gear mesh and slipper clutch setting, if either are too tight then loosen them. Also make sure to keep the spur gear clear of debris.
Yes we do! Some product cannot be shipped because of various restrictions, same with "hazardous" items, but a majority of the items are eligible. -Brett
I personally love the fms 1/18scale crawlers I got the k10, you can’t beat them hardly for the true to scale detailing and they’re ability. The eazy rc is just a lil cheaper brand of them but still good, they just have plastic frames compared to the metal frames on the fms’s. Great video though there’s a lot of cool options out there.
Not one has a built in camera to use on a smart phone? I used to love RC cars as a kid. I had a pretty sweet hovercraft back in the day that was actually great in the water and on land! Anyway with all the tech advances I figured cameras would be more common on them now but maybe it’s easily done with a 3rd party accessory place.
Should of had the mini b with the mini t. But all nice little cars for Indoors. I just strapped a fpv system and full gopro 8 on my mini-b lmao 😂 and ripped around the hobby shop.
Not sure about runtime but the top speed is, well... not really anything to speak of. Not that it's really reasonable to expect too much speed from such a small car anyway, even the brushless mini-Zs are on the slow side.
ive seen and driven alot smaller then nr 10 tbh ive even driven a rc car that was like 2cm 😂 it was a awfull car but it was pretty fun bc i could drive it on a fingerboard park😂
Tall carpet is long and shaggy, can fall over on itself. It's usually a little softer and has more cushion to walk on because of the extra material. Short carpet is often found in business settings but it's harder to walk on, doesn't fall over on itself, not shaggy at all. You can usually sweep short carpet with a broom for easy cleanup; can't do that with tall carpet. Hope that helps. -Brett

True that!
