I’ve listened to this song literally a thousand times over the years since 1975, and it STILL brings the goosebumps, the utter elation, the tears, and the absolute pride that I have having loved this man ever since I first heard him. This totally sums up a Springsteen gig. I’m emotionally fucking drained!! I love you Bruce
What a night. Actually emotional watching this back after all these years :') Went to the set thinking "I'm not sure I like Springsteen". How very wrong I was.... I came away LOVING the boss.
+MalaTemporaCurrunt His reasoning is stupid, but Clerance was clearly not feeling well. Nearly the entire tour he always had a chair next to him, so that he could rest while not playing his solos, and sometimes even while he played those.
+MalaTemporaCurrunt @Mala. no offense to you at all, but Clarence started a downward trend in every Bruce concert from 2003 on. i had the pleasure of seeing him several times in the early 70's at the Boston Music Hall. he was shear power. absolutely no comparison to what you see in his later performances. Steve is right. Clarence was a shell of what he used to be. let me give you an example. go to Bruce live in east berlin 1988. Paradise by the C. Clarence at his best. cousin Jake is fantastic, but can't approach the power of his uncle in his prime
This is rock music by the absolute master. Bruce and the E Street have everything, power, precision music and sheer genius. Though it's hard watching these seeing the Big Man, and knowing he's no longer around.
FUCKING A, MY FRIEND, GOT MY GROWN-UP SON,S AND 7 GRANDSON AND 3 GRANDDAUGHTER,S ALL INTO BRUCE AND THE EAST STREET BAND COULD,NT ASK FOR ANYMORE. , PEACE TO YOU ALL MY FRIEND'S. 🙏✌️😎🏴
In 2008, a friend of mine lost his father when my friend was 14, his escape after his loss was Bruce's music. I watched this on TV, i got why he loved Bruce so much. There was a squad of us at school who were huge into him as a result. Myself and my partner went to see Bruce in Cardiff this year, my 3rd Bruce show, her first. After the show, my other half said to me 'I get it now, i get why you and your mates are so into Bruce' Still the best thing i've ever seen on TV
saw the boss all over the world then he played down the road from me at glasto and it was the best ever !! the man is truly ! THE BOSS ! thank god i was there to see the big man one last time !! clarence if i get to heaven be there playing your sax for me !!!! rip BIG MAN !! gone but not forgotten !!
Bruce and SVZ returned to london (Claridges) arounf 2 30am. Music booming out of their cars, Stevie was hanging out the window. They were delighted with their headline set. Rock and roll .
This song will last forever,it reasonates with so many generations,Bruce and the e-steet boys are the only band that can DELIVER it in the way it is here,,im 50..been a boss fan since 1980 and I just love this song,,so thankyou for posting, keep on enjoying, keep on running and may Springsteen and the e-street band keep on rocking..slainte..
Nothing like it. Just nothing like it. Bruce with the HEART STOPPIN' PANTS DROPPIN' EARTH QUAKIN' HISTORY MAKIN' VIAGRA TAKIN' AIR CONDITIONER SHAKIN' LEGENDARY E STREET BAND!!!! YA GOTTA SAVE US, SOMEBODY!!!!!
Every time I think of this gig, I think of that girl at 1.50 I still vividly remember seeing her on the screen and thinking "fuck, she's having almost as much fun as me" :D
Seger's good too with Hollywood Hills but Springsteen the boss really does. Mulholland drive, vomit by the side of the road nearly every day. Highway's jammed with broken heroes and tramps were born to run. Bruce Springsteen really does represent Los Angeles City California and the polluted beaches on our coast.
My daughter died at 18 days old about 3 weeks before this....watching this on TV was the first time I smiled afterwards!!
So sorry for your loss..

same here, i was there and was 50/50 about seeing him but im so glad i did see him. 1 of the best headliners glastonbury ever had.
Clarence, even as sick as He was, still played that solo with all the guts and fire.God Bless the Big Man.
+MalaTemporaCurrunt He died a couple years later.
+MalaTemporaCurrunt.
...and that's why he was sick during this performance...
+MalaTemporaCurrunt His reasoning is stupid, but Clerance was clearly not feeling well. Nearly the entire tour he always had a chair next to him, so that he could rest while not playing his solos, and sometimes even while he played those.

God with a capital G in my book.
Glad that Clarence was able to experience this marvellous event before the end. RIP Big Man

Joe Strummer once said that if you don't like Bruce Springsteen, you don't like rock n' roll.
Strummer so clever and wise
Absolutely second that friend....Introduced my son early...Total convert
Fucking A Bubba!✌️💛🤘

each live Born To Run is like a new beginning and the ending in just one clip, a show stopper as well as an intro.
I saw this live on TV. It changed my life.
The greatest show I ever witnessed.
This is a fabulous video of my fave Springsteen song. Tramps like us were born to run.
That sax solo gives me shivers every time.
