Any "Born to Run" that comes in at less than 5 minutes is a superior "Born to Run". It is a punk song at its heart. You don't drive a 57 Chevy at 30 miles per hour on the open road.

No, absolutely not, in my opinion. There is romance in it, positive materialism (the car for express yourself and freedom to drive where you want) and something positive how to bear the difficulties in life. Yes, you don't go slow with a powerdome but you take your time at the traffic light to push up the tension, and, yes when your fans grow older and and to soak in that good old feeling of your youth you want this good time to last longer. There are only some artists zhat don't give the audience what the audience want. You either go with it as a fan, or you stick to the old recordings.
