This song ❤️ I was at this concert! Its the best concert I have ever been to and I travelled from Norway with my only sister, who was my best friend (she is no longer here and I miss her so much😢). We sang our hearts out and had the best time ever. It brings so much memories and emotions to watch this. I remember we bought a ticket to see him one week after this too (in Norway), cause we couldnt get enough of him. I do remember Springsteen wouldnt finish (he continued for 4 or 5 hours, that was normal for him….young artists: watch and learn!), so the police had to stop it in the end, cause there were complaints from the people living around Hyde Park. They should be lucky getting a free concert to the one and only , The boss.
He is awesome! From New Jersey, where I lived. Near Central New Jersey. The Stone Pony he played in , Asbury Park, NJ Heard he was up 5 miles north Bay Head , NJ Bruce sighting this past Spring . 😊
First saw Bruce on August 8, 1975 at the Akron Civic Theatre...I was transfixed on this maniac jumping all over the stage, jumping onto the speakers, onto the piano, pouring every ounce of energy into every note of every song! I was 19 and I was hooked... since that August night, I have seen The Boss in concert over 100 times, in venues from coast to coast. There is no one that expends more energy in a 3-4 hr concert than The Boss! Each concert is truly an uplifting experience, that has the pulse of the crowd! And, "Born to Run" is truly the anthem of my generation!!!
No matter of my mood, but whenever this is on the radio when I'm driving, the volume goes way up and I'm singing out loud. I'm in my 50's and never grew tired of this song since I first heard it back in 75.
Bought the 8 track of this album as well back in 75.. 59 now and and still Have the volume cranked up while driving down the interstate.. And in my mind I still look 😎....
Bruce is a God...no matter how many times I listen to this song I never tire of it and it gets better each time...thanks for all the great memories Bruce..
@@anelladambrosio2513 Hello, it's always so nice to see other fans reply to messages from anyone. It shows what a strong community we have. And what we truly think of Bruce and the boys.
Seen Bruce three times. Ist time - he did this as a ballad. 2nd Tom Joad Tour - didn't do it at all, I was beginning to think I was gonna die having never seen him do this live. THEN, THANKS TO THE BEST BROTHER IN THE WORLD! I WAS HERE! I was watching with tears flooding down my face! Singing at the top of my voice! It was like being plugged in to the National Grid! This will be the last memory of my life and I will die with the BIGGEST smile. Bruce you were amazing
Definitely the GREATEST LIVE song EVER. OMG I get chills, Goosebumps, high EVERY time I listen to this song live. Bruce created Heaven on Earth when he wrote this tune 😉

I just finished reading "Born to Run". It might have been the best book I have EVER read!! He is the Boss, but as human as anybody else........Bruce is the BEST!!!!
That's why they call Him the BOSS. Bruce has always put on a great show, so I've been told. I never got the chance to see him. I sure wouldn't liked it though. ✌️

Wow. What a song. What a Boss. What a Band. What a crowd! Gives me chills everytime. Love the Boss and The E Street Band. So great to see the Big Man there. And Mighty Max was all over those drums!
Springsteen wrote the lyrics in his Long Branch, New Jersey, home in early 1974. "One day I was playing my guitar on the edge of the bed, working on some song ideas, and the words 'born to run' came to me," he recalled. "At first I thought it was the name of a movie or something I'd seen on a car spinning around the circuit. I liked the phrase because it suggested a cinematic drama that I thought would work with the music that I'd been hearing in my head."
I am 59 and makes me so sad with the so called music today, Springsteen saved rock and roll then with the born to run album in 1974 with the pop music and then disco and now rap is crap........
You literally have no idea what you are talking about. There is plenty of outstanding music being released to this day. If anything, what's changed is that mediocrity is being comercially streamlined and marketed, and the disparity between quality and success is considerably greater than it once was. Accordingly, a lot of people are left unaware of quality releases. Bruce is great, indeed.
I'm 77 next month and this song STILL gets me emotional!
I turned 60 Saturday...greatest song ever written!
I'm just 23 and this song gets to me. Reminds me of growing up on the Jersey shore
One of the best songs ever 😊

Never heard of a 5 hour concert. Over 4 hours is the best and that in itself is phenomenal. Long live the one and only BOSS!!!!
Yup. Saw him in Ottawa a few years ago, and he performed for three and a half hours, non stop.
