@VenatorStellorum @Lancelot2000Lps are they actually considered small? Because game is not very clear on that and just model size can be misleading.
@@Malisman77 The game is clear, you just need to know where to look. There is an icon on every unit card on the top left that designates if the unit is considered "small" or "large".

Not a doomstack but a funstack. When i played changeling the other day i did the same thing. Carried me through lategame campaign. The only time they ever really got damaged was when they accidentally clipped each other, the stalk from changeling helps this stack ALOT.
Had the same experience. They will explode each other if your not careful

These are good units, not doomstack material, but having a couple in a regular stack can provide a lot of utility.
I like having 2 or 4. 2 units can burst most infantry enough to crush leadership.

Flamers should get % ammo instead of %24 weapon str from rank 7 red line skill or from tech tree.
Changebringers were my end game doom stack with the Changeling. Since he can basically be invisible all the time, once you unlock lightning strike you can pretty much always fight a single stack at a time which mostly mitigates the ammo problem. They’re certainly not unbeatable but very fast and fun to use, pretty easy to recruit, and looks awesome seeing waves of blue melt units. Infantry stacks are a walk in the park and if you focus fire any ranged units first you don’t take that much damage either.

Blazing Squealers regiment of renown is pretty fun with Changebringers because you can use it to refill their ammo.
Was hoping you'd do a video on these... just did my first warriors of chaos playthrough and got some of these for the hell of it. They absolutely shred everything. I, like you, thought these would be underwhelming same-y units to the ones already in the game. Good to see I was very wrong
Hey Legend, changebringers are an absolute amazing unit, against everything, just sometimes it's not worth it to shoot at something, because it's really low value. They delete foot characters - you could delete their lord with 2 units in one volley only if you got them directly above the character, the damage wouldn't be this spreaded from closer distance
A point about the changebringers targetting issues. This can be solved by landing them, They then get a horizontal line of fire that can penetrate through multiple units. It's risky but they have great speed and can just fly if they get chased. They basically become super fast flamers. Honestly love this stack as it's a high skill micro intensive one. Kind of like horse archer stacks in previous games.
ive found around 3-5 screamers to ensure no enemy flying units can get to the changers works quite well, saves needing to use many heroes in the army
As a dedicated lizardmen simp, i have this annoying tendency to vomit in my mouth a little every time i see the kind of armies the AI builds with them. Please help.

@@perrymeril I'll take that over the abominations the AI conjures up. I shudder every time i see some hodgepodge stack of 6 skink cohorts, three cold one riders, a single terradon rider and one stray carnosaur just to show they could have recruited them when it's turn 90...

@@perrymeril With a unit roster as large as the lizardmen's it's harder to make a bad stack then a good one. And that's my whole point. The AI somehow finds a way. Every. Single. Time.
I love them, changeling is my new favorite lord I bought the dlc yesterday and I was amazed how fast one unit of them could melt an enemy lord
Small note on ammo: tzeentch corruption in the region increases ammo capacity for your armies, that's the only way to get more

Do you know if they can beat harpies or carrion in melee? I Don't think I have the DLC (or PC atm) to test
@@JohnSmith-NZ I'm not sure, they do have physical resistance and barrier which would help, I imagine it would probably be a close fight though if the change bringers got in even one shot before they entered melee I think they would win
Man, been playing Fallout 4 recently and these boys are straight up Nuka Quantum themed
I think Changebringer doomstacks might perform better on sieges because they can fly and the tight corridors make it easier to blob enemy units (you'd just have to clear out towers beforehand which should be pretty easy with a mostly flying army). It'd also prevent your land unit from getting attacked.
I feel like there needs to be a doomstack tier list just to keep track of all these

in the staring battle for the oracles, you can beat the entire town with just the 1 unit of changebringers, just kite around the crossbowmen and the rest of the army just melts
I remember seeing videos of the change bringers melting single entity units, did they patch it? I didn’t see anything in the patch notes for 4.2.1.
I tend to find the longer range you fire at, the more they spread out their shots. I think it's actually beneficial for their accuracy to be at their lowest at the longest range to spread out the shots. At least against infantry, anyway.
The Changeling can boost these units a bit more.
IIRC, his tech tree has buffs to their ranged damage and ammo.
this is a support unit like rattling guns, need to mix the with doom knights to deal with the single entity and fly threats

I feel like the Tzeentch melee hero was a good add. It felt like there was a gap with Tzeentch's roster without his addition. Recently, I've been really enjoying my recent Tzeentch campaign - it would be cool to see you try Kairos again.
tzeentch Air force sounds fun even if not that powerfull. I think I try it when dlc price drops.

They can actually get extra ammo (i think). They just need to stand in a region with high tzeentch corruption for i think 45% extra ammo, so that would be like 15 or 14 shots instead of 10
When you want to bring change, bring the Changebringers.
Not doomstack material with how much they need support from other units and heroes, but definitely a great flamer unit to have in Tzeentch armies.

I like the changebringers alot but I mixed them with doomknights. Still is susceptible to gun lines. Agree that they need extra ammo. Friendly fire is a real concern with them. There is an item that you can get to reduce fire resistance to the enemy army as the decievers. You need to win 15 land battles in Cathay to get this, which is sort of a pain as the decievers.
Since the latest hotfix, at least in my game, is that you no longer get credit for defeating LL lords in combat for the scheme quests. I checked on reddit and someone mentioned they're not getting these items via Millitary alliances either. Not sure if you've seen this bug. It is rather frustrating because it's tedious getting 15 land battle wins or sacking 7 settlements all over Cathay (as examples) to progress the scheme.
I do think these units plus the update to horror heros giving replinishment in the hotfix have been a pretty big help to tzeentch.
Tzeentch units are just a pain in the ass to use in general. Except the Mutalith Vortex Beast. Everything else just takes SO much time and attention.
Can Hellstorm Rocket Batteries target flying? If not, this would hard counter the College of pyrotechnics rouge army.
You actually CAN increase their ammo and missile strength more! Ironically fighting at sea ruined it. Tzeentch corruption adds these ststs to armies that benefit from said corruption (tzeentch, WoC, beastmen, demon prince)
The guy semmed to actually notice that when he scrolled over the lord skills i noticed he mass dumped into spread tzeentch corruption.
Somehow the changebringers keep returning to Legend’s channel

What are the 10/10 doomstacks now a days?
Off the top of my head.. Hero stacks are always nutty, mutalisks, Festus with chaos giants, stegos' are still up there, beastmen single entity monsters, phoenixes, Imrik and his dragons probably, treemen are still completely insane. Not sure if greenskin troll stack or Noctilus' planks still wrecks.
And Villich, no army just a Villich, he's genuinely busted. 😁
For me it's maybe 6.5 or 7. Yeah it erased that solar engine fast but the cost is high, very limited ammo, the amount of friendly fire in very high, you must have a ground unit (ca's rule sure but it limits your options with this stack).
There a lot of problems that need a lot of micro to manage. For me the number drops as micro amount and complexity increase.
14:38 on the other hand, they ARE Saurus-nothing thrown at those (that actually does decent dmg) is wasted against those

I started the army with 5 of them, but i came to realize that Changebringers are even better at killing single entities.

I tried it first with 5 Chariots, but they still run out ammo way to fast. One missed shot can be very bad and Changebringer are just as good if not better at killing single entities.
I am not sure you used this as effectively as you could have. When I use it, I send like one unit after a target at a time (assigning several units to several targets so it doesn't take forever). Really helps to conserve ammo. Although you are a better player than me, so maybe I am wrong
Seems like a stack that would well enough if you just drag their line over the enemies and then with fire at will (and guard mode) they would target well enough without too much friendly fire
Then some micro for dangerous targets ofc, but they probably wouldnt even be focused on too much since other units are closer to enemy missiles.
Also, might the redline doomfire skills give them some ammo? Or is that only for artillery? Just saw it in the lord skills in this video, so no actual clue as I have never really played tzeentch

You have to micro 3 different groups (your melee squad, your ranged squad, and your keep away squad) and that's IF you don't care about friendly fire.
Also, they were kind enough to let you catch their fliers with your melee squad. And then send in a couple at a time. Terradons usually try to run away but they were just charging into you . . . ?
Legend can you do the next n9 defeat campaing with maybe cathay or lizardmen
Not saying it's a 10/10 army by the AI, but I've run into a KatarinAI that had a genuine 19-bear Elemental Bear doomstack. Had no idea what to do against that, I only had marauders in the area.
In those situations you just flee and plan to retake.
Legends micro is always impressive
He wasn't particularly effiecient with positioning the changebringers and wasted ammo overkilling units with like 5 changebringers shooting 1 target.
The exalted version post changes should do better than them as a doomstack

Definitely doesn't seem to be a doomstack, it's very powerful, but without those heroes this army would fallen flat on its face within the first 5 minutes of battle
You should really use groups in a situation like this
I feel like they saw the ammo stacking insanity from wh2, and actively removed ammo bonus from the wh3 factions, red line? attack speed. lord traits? nah, only place to get ammo buffs is on very specific units in research, mostly ones that wont run out anyway since they cant engage without getting into melee soon after shooting, and actively anti-synergy with pike and shot style tactics.
army you get only in late late game for flavor, no practicality here

Feels like Teradon Doomstack - impractical af, hard to use, lots of casualties during sieges, stimulate your brain so much that every other Lizardmen army feels easy to use

I stopped following patchnotes months ago. Now reading them made me see that it is dlc only. Well...
I guess that the only way to increase their ammo is to fight in a territory with Tzeentch corruption, but it rarely happens when you are on the offensive
So you have to deal with 10 most of the time which is kinda sad
