Man, what a improvement on the wheels, not that they looked bad before, but the lug covers and center caps with the blue slash marks really cleaned the wheels up. I think it looks awesome. My scat came with hellcat wheels and had the flat black hash mark center caps. When I got wider Factory Repro wheels for the rear they came with plain flat black center caps and I really like that look. I looked to see if I could order them, but can't find a source besides Factory Reproductions and they want like 15 bucks each. There is an outfit that sells the vinyl caps for the lugnuts and a little tong type tool to remove them and I got a set, love them. They look really good and were pretty cheap. I'm going to get a bag from McMaster Carr just cuz they are cheap, thanks!

I'm with you, the chrome didn't look good on my car. The caps and tool I got were from colorlugs.com. They blend in perfect with my low gloss OEM hellcat wheels, and the factory repro hellcat wheels.

Those center caps literally just push out done it many times. Didnt hurt my caps at all. Those caps look much better! I would have gotten black lugs myself but its what you like. If powder coat is done right they dont chip. Caps tend to fall off over time which is why I don't like them. The look itself tho much better!
K 1500 The chrome ones won’t just push out you have to take that snap ring out but the black ones will just push out. Power coating will chip over time and especially if someone uses an impact on them every time. I have a bumper on my pickup that was professionally powered coated and it has chips in it like crazy! Lol I have 100 of them not worried about loosing even 75 of them. Thanks it did help the look of them out a lot!
@@MeanBee392 weird idk I've had ones with snap rings come right out. Maybe the snap ring wasnt very good on them haha. As for powder coat chipping that's crazy on the bumper. I can understand on the lugs with a impact hitting them but the bumper?? My wheels were powdered and I even rubber them on some stuff and it didnt even scratch. My friend had a set of winter wheels only, for years powder coated and they never chipped at all. They still to this day haven't chipped. But I do know our powder guy lays the stuff pretty thick. That's why I went with powder on my wheels cuz his stuff held up so well. I guess if you got plenty of them then who cares ha!
Thanks for the video. You had half of what I needed. I’m still stuck without center caps for the steel 15 inch wheels on my 2017 Honda Fit. I hate the plastic hub caps so I plan on painting the wheels some sort of metallic and getting lug nut caps and some sort of center caps.

MeanBee392 I ordered the vinyl caps to fit my lug nuts and thought they might also have a vinyl cap large enough and heat resistant enough to fit 2 25/64 inch OD for a center cap. They don’t have one listed that size. Maybe they manufacture any size but only list what they have in stock.

Ha ha - yeah I'd want the red! I found another company that sells something like these, but they market them as a way to protect from theft - they sell a special tool that you have to use to take them off, and of course they charge way to much. I already have wheel locks, so I'm fine with plastic covers. Another question though - will they fit over a wheel lock? My wheel lock is slightly wider than my regular lugs. Hmmmm....
CTCharger Hahaha I knew it! Yeah wheel locks are expensive and like you said you wouldn’t need another set. But some red caps would look good on your car! With the caps they come in all different sizes so if the size I have is to small you can always get a bigger size to fit the wheel locks.

did you replace the oem center caps? my stock cap rhombus' are slightly raised and the decals still show some chrome on the sides of the raised portion of the rhombus.
No I have to OEM center caps and mine do show some chrome on the sides also but not real bad. I think they are like this because if they wrapped the whole thing it would be hard to keep creases from happening and they might start pealing off because of not having a large enough surface to stick to. I did the same thing with my hyper black challenger rims. I painted the slashes blue on 2 of them and vinyl wrapped the other two to see which process i liked better. You can see how the results on my instagram at #rt_rob_2018

In person they are a more brilliant color and not metallic like the vinyl. It was interesting doing it each way. They both seemed to stand up pretty good to the elements. I absolutely love the look of you challenger. I probably would've got a blue challenger if they had one! To me its 1A and 1B for color choice. Keep up the good work on the videos. Hopefully i will have some more mods to share soon as well!
