Learn to play the fingerpicking patterns and chords for this essential classic! - Видеоклипы
You sir are the best guitar teacher I have ever run across on youtube
Thank you Paul! Shane
I learned this song in less than two hours. The picking pattern took some time to get the hang of but the song is a loop! This guy explains well!
Thank you for going so slowly and for showing everything so clearly. Some teachers go so quickly that I can't see what they are doing at all. You are a great teacher. Thanks again.
Shane, you .... the man!! the energy, the accuracy, the preciseness!!! and all is FREE! Unbelievable.
Thank you! Glad to have you here with us, Shane
Shane, you are one of my absolute favorite guitar teachers! Your delivery, your style, your ability to communicate make all the difference in the world!! And you kinda sound like David Letterman lol 😊
Thanks Candie - much appreciated - happy to have you with us!
Shane
Hey man I’m just starting guitar and learning through RUclips and this tutorial and the horse with no name one have been the best ones I’ve seen so far
Shane your teaching style is superior to most...at least to me it is. The way to transition the ideas together just, to my ear, is flawless. Thank you so much for these free lessons.

Thank you Gary - glad you enjoyed. My best to you, Shane
Thank you so much for these lessons and the music sheets. I have learned a great deal from you.
Thanks Shane, well explained easy to follow 😎👍
You’re a great teacher! I’m an experienced guitarist and trying to work on my fingerpicking skills. Have you done Classical Gas yet by Mason Williams? I know part of it, but I struggle with learning the whole song.
Thank you so much. Wonderful teacher!
You are a great teacher. I suspect a week of practice and I will sound alright! Thanks
Glad to hear it Bob - a big thank you for that and enjoy it!
Shane
Amazing teacher! Thank you 🙏
Shane, learning guitar from your videos is like having blindfolds, gloves and earmuffs removed, well done!

Thank you Marlena - glad you enjoyed the lesson and the voice!
Shane
Going over this section again this morning, it's starting to come together 😁

Shane
Thanks Shane, you make it easier to get it !
Thank you Benoit - really great to hear that. Hope you have fun with it and happy to have you with us!
Shane
Awesome!
Great lesson. Link to the TAB? Thanks for posting. Mark
Not sure if I'm wrong but I thought the intro 3 chords was picked at 7 notes each not 8 . Most of tab I see is 7 notes in each chord Travis picked.
Love this guy! 🙏
would you consider doing buckingham and nicks frozen love as a tutorial?
Which type of nails do you suggest for...
REALLY fat picking thumb🤣👍...?
Self adhesive or...?
Thanks for a very informative lesson 😎👍
😎👍❤🖖
Brah, just noticed yo have monster hands like James Taylor, congrats.. :)
Thank You Buddy For Replying Most People Don’t , Mississauga Ontario. Thank You
Thanks Trevor - always good to hear from you.
Shane
Hi mate, I’m not seeing a picture of the chord shapes and can’t seem to locate a sheet with them on, can you point me in the right direction?
Hi Simon - sure thing. Song sheets from older videos are freely downloadable at guitaratwork.ca
Just look for the 'Download Songsheets' button at the top of the main page....it will take you to a series of folders full of songs. Sheets for newer videos can be found at patreon.com/guitaratwork
Cheers! Shane
Why the sleeve on the right arm only? Just curious. BTW, love your style!
Thank you Bud - people ask about the sleeve for sure. I cannot play in a short sleeve shirt. I don't like my right arm sticking to the guitar when I strum. I need to be able to move it around. Cheers, Shane
@@GuitarAtWork right! makes sense. Thanks Shane.
wow that was amazing! love the video shane
Thank you!!! Really appreciate that!
Shane
Just a correction.... Landslide written BY Stevie Nicks... performed by Fleetwood Mac.
Great lesson on a classic..would you consider doing a video on an integrated solo part?
Thank you Erik - great suggestion!
Shane
Awesome instructions! Is there a chance at playing Trouble by Lindsey Buckingham?
Are we allowed to sob while learning this?
Absolutely Doc - ha! Best to you.
Shane
Hey Shane, gradually getting there with this one - looking forward to our next Skype lesson to get your feedback !
Thank you Nick - always good to hear from you and I hope things are well across the pond - talk soon!
Shane
Any chance you could do sip of fools by robert plant? Is it in your wheelhouse???
Love, love, love it! Thanks!
Thanks Glenfin - glad to have you with us!
Shane
So after a few weeks I finally have this down. I know its a lot to bite off, but any chance of you doing a video for the solo part of this song? Might need to post it in parts. Really enjoying your lessons. Top notch! Thanks so much.
Thanks Lisa - great suggestion indeed! I will add it to the list and hope to post it soon. Best to you,
Shane
Hi ty for your videos, just discovered them tonight. Can't find all song sheets in your drop box, eg this song...pls help! And HNY!
Thanks Sunset - hope you are having fun with it and glad to have you here with us. I just checked and the song sheets for this one are in the Intermediate folder - let me know if you have any trouble and Happy New Year to you!
Shane
@@GuitarAtWork found it! Read about your achievements and all the good works you do, including your free contributions, making me even more proud to be Canadian...and that you represent us so well...again ty for this, I'm back playing guitar even more so now!
Pick. A, G, D, B then A, G, D, G. Thumb A and D. For Verse.
do you have the finger chart that I can print out for this song?
Nice lesson, I do think though that last note the G isn't played from watching L Buckingham playing it and this gives you a little 'rest' before the chord change
Good eye Chris - he doesn't play the last note in the pattern during the intro but there is at least one other guitar in there after the intro that does play that last note. Hope you enjoy it!
Shane
Thank goodness for the clarification of the G note. It was bugging me trying to leave it out because it just didn’t sound right. Great lesson Shane.
love the old school capo
Yeah, what make is that capo?
Hi Shane love your lessons any chance of Gold Dust Woman Fleetwood Mac
Thank you Paul - I really appreciate that. I'll add that song to the list for sure!
Shane
Do you have fibreglass nails ? Where and How ?
All natural Trevor - I've never tried the fake ones - Cheers,
Shane
Well done! Thank you.
Thanks Greg - I appreciate the feedback!
Shane

Shane
And very glad you enjoyed the video!
Shane
Y do finger pickers that grow their nails ridiculously long ? Its fingerpicking not nail picking
Where are the sheets? I can't find them. I subscribed but still can't find them, Boo hoo
Hi Jasmine - sorry for any trouble you are having finding the sheets - just head to shanesimpson.com and look for a red button that says 'Download Guitar At Work Songsheets' about halfway down the page....that button will take you to a few folders and you can download anything you want - no charge, and nothing to sign up for - just go grab them. If you have trouble, just email from the website and I can send them to you directly. Cheers!
Shane
Awesome video, eh?!?
Ha! Big thank you eh?!
Shane
Great info. Constructive critique: Over-explanation results in a loss of audience. Also, please don't talk over the notes you are playing. It's like listening to two different songs at the same time.
Respectfully,
TJ.
Yes, exactly. Also, play the part you're explaining first at regular/studio speed. THEN go into the fingering pattern and chords at teaching speed. Love your teaching style though, and appreciate the lesson!
Talk too much but good game
Who is this guy teaching? 3 year olds?
You write well for a 3 year old.
@@GuitarAtWork I was reading some of you comments, and there were a lot of appreciative 3 year olds. Keep up the the good work. We all have to start somewhere.
